I'm very glad they like Tom. Best character in the entire show. Little weird that he's the best handled and he's apparently "a mix of every bad boyfriend [the shows creator] ever had" and he's a genuinely rounded character by the end

The ending really isn’t as bad as everyone says. it wasn’t the best ending, but I still liked every episode of the show

@@OliviaOli86 I just wish it hadn't ended at that ending? Like, the ramifications of cleaving two different dimensions together and the destruction of magic is way too big to serve as a finale. Destroying all magic is not the worst idea, but it should have been like a mid season finale with a last arc patching things up.
Seasons one and two are peak fiction to me. Season three was actually okay (even though it definitely had a drop in quality), and I've only seen bits of Season four but something tells me not to finish the rest
Bruh it is so depressing rewatching this show by proxy of the milkmen and realizing there was so much potential and interesting shit that ended up stagnating or just going down the drain even before the big finale.

On one hand, they do elaborate on it later on. On the other hand, they fumble the bag hard.
This is one of those shows where the development happens so little-by-little that you hardly even notice it until you go back and watch the old episodes right after the new ones or vice versa. And I actually like that about it LOL it’s just like in real life

@@helloworlditskiwi I watched the same video, by Blue Order. It has been a while since I last saw it but Disney never cut the show short. Daron knew since the very start her show was going to be 4 seasons long. Obviously Disney was behind her back during Seasons 1 and 2 to make sure the cartoon was aligned with what Disney as a brand represents. And once they saw the success and "paved the direction" the show was headed to, they left it mostly all to Daron. Who took tons of wrong decisions, prioritized shipping, and eventually confessed, she and her writing team, that they had no solid plans for whatever happened after the Battle for Mewni; the First Arc of Season 3. So they just went along with it not thinking through where to take the story from there, and never bothered to do so. They were driving a car with a blindfold on basically. Which resulted in continuity mistakes, poor writing, and many more dumb sh*t.
Toffee changes the whole show just by showing up in it it's honestly crazy.
If you think Tom was handled well here, just stick with him through the show...
They should have at least gave him a love interest or a friend

If whenever Father Time gets off the wheel, time stops. This means that if he were to get off by his own means, no one would know. They can't think or react, and they won't remember when time freezes. He can get off whenever he wants, do whatever, and as long as he gets back on the wheel, nothing bad will happen. He could just do like 1 hour a day for exercise, and chill for the rest of the day. There is no need for the hamsters or for him to be in slavery.
That's actually true, and it happens at the end (they didn't put the scene) where time stops because he started playing with the hamsters, nobody noticed, but I think it is more comfortable for him to use the wheel as transportation than to have to run and stay in the same place the whole time, literally
Toffee has so much swagger, it's ridiculous. I'd want to touch his suit too if I was Ludo.
If you guys watch the full show it eventually becomes pretty clear why Tom was the way he was at the start

To console Eden over Dia de Los muertos, Yu-Gi-Oh 5ds season 1 is about the main characters fighting against Eldritch horrors sealed inside the Nazca lines and the source of the MC’s power is basically Quetzalcaotl. Also at one point Jack Atlas fights weird little fire guy inside an mesoamerican pyramid.

I’m kinda eh on the first season, especially the filler episodes. It’s still a good show, but I honestly have a hard time getting through the worst of it, like the wet socks episode. The Tom one is fire though( pun Intended) and same with saint Olga’s. It’s honestly probably the best twist in the series.

There was a whole episode of trying to UNDO IT, which just annoyed me earlier because I figured they weren't really DESTINED lovers, they just liked each other and would eventually just get to romance naturally.
By bringing attention to the "curse" and then robbing Marco of his various female friendships, I was utterly frustrated with Starco by the end. Saying "it's not destiny anymore but it kinda is under writer demand" just confuses a viewer.
“but one time I FLEW too far out of the water slide and felt like I was gonna die” and “WHAT I smoked??” Are the best out of context lines in this whole thing LOL

Ok let me know if this is a hot take or not but I really liked star and Marcos relationship early on and I thought them as a couple would be cute and though I did like them ending up together I think the way that it was done was to awkward. Also I really do like both of them as chaeecter from season 1 all the way to maybe the first part of season 3 but after that they kinda became cold and bitter and kinda weird in a bad way lost their charm but I still love them (prior them).
