They were most likely far above average for their time. Old levels were probably judged by their difficulty, not how fun they were. Memory also used to be pretty much the most popular way to make your levels difficult.

Hyper ice jumper is Not impossible it took me 20 minutes to understand how to do it and as I remember it you have to hit the first yellow orb late and the second one as early as you can! Or the opposite but it is possible anyway.
But still that is so f*cking hard to do
And remember you have 60 attempts an hour and you might not get there evry time so maybe 45 attemps per hour and that is bad...
yea, i beat hyper ice jumper and you are right, although I was just going to quit the game for the insane map packs, because some insane map packs are much more difficult and complicated than some demon map packs

I've played this game for 5 years and my hardest demon is Future Funk lol
would be nice if rob one day would re visit the map packs and re-rate some levels so the new players will have a better understanding of how hard the levels are
i wish he would remove the levels that have been updated in any way. i really hate it when creators update their levels especially to add graffiti. it's annoying and they should just let the level be instead of babying it

Dynamic On Track was nerfed much later in its existence. It used to be extremely hard to sight read and was so fast that you had basically guess every time if you had to fall down or jump. It was really unfun to play because it was a 5* but had the gameplay of a 9*
Also I beat Corrupted Kingdom on 240hz and it was very painful lol

In case you didn’t know this about Dynamic on Track:
The version you played in this video is a very, very nerfed version of what the original was. The original was considered to be one of the hardest map pack levels in general, harder than even some of the demons. I think I once saw a forum post stating that it was the hardest 4* level in the entire game. I remember when I beat that level, sometime in early 2016, it took me like 5000 attempts with my skill level at the time. For reference the other two levels in that pack barely took me 100 attempts. To this day I consider it one of the most frustrating levels I’ve ever played.
I remember how painful it was, easy 1000+ attempts but I did complete it eventually years ago. Then I started from scratch just last year, beat it in like 5 attempts and was so visibly confused at my own skill level

Yes , I beat 2 first levels (I was very lucky and passed hard ships in corrupted kingdom / ball in scene machine) and dont even go in 3 rd one , I think this is too difficult for me :(
And also Clash in Fusion Pack is too hard
@@andrzejwoyniec1553 Tyrian Wall (3rd level in Twisted Pack) isn't actually very difficult. If you learn the cube parts (which are fairly short), the rest of the level is just ball gameplay. And while it's fairly tight, there isn't much memorization in these parts.

Dynamic on Track got nerfed pretty hard because it was way to difficult for a 5 star level. The arrows where not there and some platforms got put in to make it far easier. The text is probably because the creator got annoyed about people complaining and wanted to put some funny moments in there.

Honestly that level wasn't that bad for me, and it kinda saves the Twisted pack. The cube parts are completely off-screen memorization based, but everything else is pretty good, and it has a consistent and polished decoration style.

JerkRat has many atrocious levels, because he uses the move triggers so randomly and their overall design is just bad.

The bug in hyper ice jumper is possible, you need to make a frame perfect timing by hitting the first yellow orb early, and the second yellow orb late. It should give you enough motion to take you to the platform but the timing is very persice.

The levels such as "Level Easy" are the most annyoing.

@@Jordi6304 to ger the 120 coins u have to complete all the robtop levels coins +almost all the map pack except demon or just 1 or 2 so it's rly possible. Actually I get 120 coins not more lol cause it begins to be very hard now so just practice all the map pack except demon ones and don't give up when u do a level beat it !

When PG Clubstep is worse than an impossible map pack level
It's not impossible you just have to hit the first yellow orb as soon as possible while not jumping on the blue pad, and the second orb I think you hit late.

Play lunar ocean. I dont know if it was updated or not but its a 4 star with insane demon gameplay towards 49%, and has invisible portals everywhere. The level is in the electro pack.
Eric, I found a way to pass the impossible part in hyper ice jumper. On 60hz, if you press the first orb late and the second one super early, you should be able to pass it! Like so Eric can see this.

Corrupted Kingdom and Scene Machine are the two I'm still stuck on😤
It’s was pain when I did them all lol
I just did that one today. It's a huge pain tbh. Something I found about Corrupted Kingdom is that one jump doesn't actually require 60 hz to complete. It's a bit precise, but once you do it, there is a certain jump that allows you to reach the orb while not hitting the spike up top. As for Scene Machine, I have nothing to say except f*ck that ball part, man. Scene Machine is basically one giant memorization gauntlet.

In Hyper Ice Jumper you just need to press the jump rings as early as you can. Worked for me pretty consistently.

The problem with these mappacks is that you complete them not when you have already completed hundreds of demons but when played for a week or two.

I played the dynamic on track old version back in the day and i hated it. I respect the creator for updating it, because i think the update is actually really good!

They're still better than gauntlets that are full of unplayable levels due to lag. I beat all the map packs almost six years ago but still have a few gauntlets left

As soon as you said “dynamic on track” I instantly got war flashbacks. It’s super difficult to sight read, the original deco made it hard to see where you needed to go, and it had the buggiest timings

Gabber Fly was difficult at first beacsue too much moving objects .But after 100 % first time this level shouldnt that hard
@insert username Ik it's an unpopular opinion, but skyfrost was SO FUNNN!!! I loved that level so much, although it did take me a couple hundred attempts to beat. Cant let go v2 was difficult until i figured out how to get past 40%, and then it was just fun. Lunar ocean is the worst map pack level that I've encountered so far, although I only have 106 secret coins, so I haven't beaten very many insane/demon map packs
@insert username Ehhh you have to admit lunar ocean is buggier and it has terrible transitions. The deco is decent, i'll give it that. and it has some fun parts
@insert username Lmaoooo no lunar ocean is not sight readable at all it's stuffed with reverse portals and invisible spikes and invisible gravity portals. It should be rated 7 or 8 stars. Clg v2 was frustrating for a bit, but once I figured out how to clear the bit around 30-40%, it became a very fun level to play.
19 triples in time is eco, that's veeeery cool level.

For Hyper Ice Jumper, to pass 77%, you need to buffer your inputs on both jump rings. You basically need to hit them perfect or it wont work. Other than that, this level is very POSSIBLE!
the reason why people hate dynamic on track is that you cant make any mistakes in the level or you die and its hard to sight read it on top of that
I am so happy I finished theory of relativity before it got updated. I don’t even remember the level back then but it looks like hell now

I honestly feel why “everyone” hates map pack levels is because new players don’t understand old gameplay. I personally love the map packs but that could be nostalgia speaking.
I think that’s a dumb take.... most people would agree with me that new gameplay is way better than old gameplay. People don’t like some of the map packs because they have really crappy cube gameplay for the majority of the level.

hyper ice jumper is possible but only on the first attempt so if you die you have to exit the level and enter over and over again.either you keep trying or you just give up(reccomended)
Dynamic on track was nerfed and changed a TON from when we all played it. It used to be a lot harder than its rating and annoying to clear.
