The engines weren't being affected by anything natural, but a scientifically engineered chemical created to deform skin and cause unusual skin growth, mutations and body developments at a variety of speeds.

The scene where the plant exploded was honestly horrifying, i dont know what i was expecting but it sure wasnt a sudden explosion followed by loud sounds and screams

I love how at the end of time played at the start played.
When I first saw this series I thought it would be absolute dogshit, but the amount of effort put into this took me by surprise, along with the quality of the editing. The fact that you’re stitching together model series footage as well instead of just using Trainz or any other rail simulator with Thomas mods available is even more impressive. I am excited to see more of this series!

Redo of a deleted comment: Unpopular Opinion: Model-CGI hybrid animation (akin to Season 12) would shine in Sodor Fallout, SDR, and any other Sodor Survival Horrors. In addition to all of the regular uses CGI would also be used for Mutated Faces, Explosions, Blood and Gore, and any large antagonistic beings, which would be quite expensive and difficult to pull off in Model form.
