  • Your happiness is your own responsibility, even at work. A lot of us are trying hard to be happy in our personal life. However, we don't seem to be doing the same in the place where we spend most of our time: at work. We don’t ask ourselves the right questions in order to be happier in the workplace.
    In this talk, Aurélie Litynski - Happiness at Work Expert, will inspire you to be the driver of your own professional happiness. She will also share hands-on tools to create a positive workplace culture, because we all need to shift our mindset and find solutions to be happier at work.
    Through her company, Happitude at Work, Aurélie supports leaders, employees, SMEs and multinational companies to boost productivity and happiness in the workplace.
    Happiness is a skill we can all learn… we just need to know how! Aurélie Litynski, founder of Happitude at Work, has been trained by leading global experts on the topics of positive psychology, positive neuroplasticity and happiness in the workplace. As Chief Happiness Officer, Aurélie draws on her extensive training and active engagement in the field to create workshops, programs and public events that tackle topics such as workplace behavior,
    communication, empathy and trust. Her expertise spans a variety of industries and targets SMEs, multinational organizations and corporate leaders while helping them boost happiness in the workplace, which translates to better productivity and performance.
    She also offers a series of digital trainings for employees who strive to become happier at work. Aurélie is on a mission: turning frustrations at work into happiness at work! This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

    This is really simply about mindset. If you have a strong, unshakeable mindset then the little frustrations we encounter daily in our workplace won't come close to affecting our mood.

    It is all about perspective. But also, ensuring we aren't using toxic positivity to say within a system that does not support our growth. Our boss' aren't responsible for happiness, but they are responsible for ensuring a healthy and productive working environment.

    • @happitudeatwork1381
      @happitudeatwork1381 Před 2 lety

      Definitely, companies and leaders do have as well the responsibility to create a safe and positive environment at work.
      And when we speak about happiness at work, it is not about faking happiness or being all the time positive, it's about finding a way to have more positive emotions than negative ones - in general! :)

    As is the case with most things, happiness is a choice. You can choose for your happiness to be fragile and affected by others, or you can choose a positive mindset that carries you through the challenges of the day, and if you're too unhappy on a daily basis to do that, it's a pretty good indication that something needs to change.

      Writing in a gratitude journal is proven by research to be very efficient however I never do it... it's not my thing.
      For me, what works very well is to reflect on my highlight of the day and express it to others (for ex. at the dinner table with family or when my kids go to bed.)
      On top, I try to actively enjoy the moment when I do something I like. My family and friends hear me often saying " Isn't it nice to do that / or be together ...." :) that helps me to stay on the positive side even though life can be challenging.
      I hope it helps
