    Thank you!!!! Thank you!!!! It worked. The only difference is that one of the straps on the battery had a silver connector piece on the frame. We removed the 2 side screws along the edge, lifted strap and the silver plate attached to strap or cord came up!!! Tylhanks so much.

      so, the reason why i wanted to replace the batttery is because it drains so fast. but, after observing for few hours with this new battery, it seems like the battery still draining fast. so i'm assuming the problem, isn't on the battery. any idea what is causing this?

    what do you do if you have issues with stripped screws? for anyone new to phone repair, use a JIS0 not the JIS00 or 000. and you can maybe use the philips drivers but def use the JIS0 one. i ended up stripping 2 of my screws.

    • @CrocFIX
      @CrocFIX  Před 18 dny

      If you damaged some srews, you will need kind of a grinder to make the screws usable again. I think if you search, you will find a video about that.

    Nice video. I'm a little nervous about reconnecting the battery cable and wireless cable due to their tiny size. My Samsung Tab A7 battery was dying at 28% so I got one off Amazon for $20.
    Took out old battery and when I pressed in the connector for the new battery onto the board the cable popped right off. I kept trying and it wouldn't lock into place. I examined the bottom of the cable compared to the one I took out and it looked like the pins were smashed. I'm not sure if I did that or it came like that.
    Got a replacement and this time I used the camera on my phone to zoom in on the tablet board and I did some acrobatics with my neck trying to view the zoomed in image on my phone while being eye level with the board so I can see the connector lined up perfectly. Success .
    But Watching your videos. You didn't do that. You just casually placed the connector over the board, pressed, and it locked into place with ease.
    So now, like I said. I'm not sure if mine came damaged or it's super easy to damage them if they aren't lined up perfectly. Makes me nervous trying it on a 1k$ phone.

    • @CrocFIX
      @CrocFIX  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Thanks for the compliment. Usually you have to be really gentle with those connectors and yes you can damage them. Always put it on the other connector just gentle and move a little bit arround, so you can feel when it is in the right position and then press it down. Or look under it and see what is the exact position. I have a lot of experience so it may look easier. Good luck.

      You are welcome for the video. I don't have a video yet on hot to identify fake batteries. What could help you, buty from trusted sites or trusted sellers on ebay. In the description there should be stated that it's genuine and original. Ask the seller if this is really genuine, otherwise you will report it. Fake ones have kind of different font on the battery and they don't come with the blue sticker in front and adhesive on the back. Good luck :)

    The phone batteries are always old. Is there a place to get new manufacture batteries? The old one here was made in 2020 and the new replacement was made in 2020. I just bought this phone in 2024, so the battery is 4 years old. I will eventually have to replace the battery, that's why I'm asking.

    • @CrocFIX
      @CrocFIX  Před 4 měsíci

      If you bought this phone new and never used in 2024, probably your battery is going to last normal. But if it was used, then maybe you will need to replace it in the future. Also if you buy a new battery from old stock you could get manufacturer date 2022 or 2023. That doesn't mean the battery is bad if it's new.

    Shame on Samsung and other manufacturers who put batteries in phones in such a complicated manner that it takes a rocket scientist to replace it, I mean ok if the batteries were well designed and lasted for the life of the phone then fine, but batteries esp on Samsung phones seem to need replacing quite often. I mean phones had better designs in 1990s when you just took the back cover off by sliding it off and just flick the battery out and put in another now.... now they booby trap the battery and surround it by hundreds parts and cables, I mean seriously why?
    Car batteries are easier to replace and those last longer than Samsung batteries.

    • @rafztar
      @rafztar Před 3 dny

      My note 20s original battery started expanding and cover was coming off, I got the batter changed. But then everytime i took a photo (esp with flash) the phone switched itself off. I then got then to replace the battery again. Was ok for about year, then the same issue again, battery expanding and cover coming off. I mean each time you change the battery you are damaging the cover and cable a little, its quite ridiculous

    • @CrocFIX
      @CrocFIX  Před 2 dny

      I can feel you frustration, but that's the way of the design and batteries can be more flat. But you can do it, just need to take your time and watch a video or two. You can also buy a Samsung Xcover model. They still have the old method to replace the battery. But the phones are not that high range.
