Apparently they do this because once they get the fireworks in their launch tubes, the only way to get them out is to set them off. You might notice that every firework from the main show gets used here. And yet, I don't see why they can't just leave them in until the next time they can do a show. Especially when you consider the reason the show is cancelled during thunderstorms isn't just the rain. The stage, seats and the framework with all the lights are all made of metal. Add in all that water, and the whole stadium is basically a giant lightning rod.
Unattended pyro can't be left loaded as theres still a risk of of discharge from things like static electricity, radio frequencies setting them off accidentally, etc. stage would be hot until they blow it off next show so prepping the stage for show would be impossible as well
If the lightning is within the danger zone (6 miles), they won’t do this show. This only happens when lightning is far enough away to do “Taste” safely; but will be in the danger zone shortly after.
Basically if (god forbid) lightning strikes the stage, or static electricity, whatever, and the pyro goes off in the night, could, when not shot on purpose, start a fire which if left unattended through the night could do catastrophic damage not just to the stadium but to the whole of Hollywood studios
Solar - Bxxry we cancel our show when it’s (101)- lightening in area. It has everything to do for the safety of our cast members in the show. Not the fireworks.
When you worked there and they cancelled the show before the people even came up, sometimes they'd just launch the fireworks anyway.....even with no music
You don’t want to see this you want to see fantasmic. This is a last ditch effort to make your time in line waiting worth it when nothing else works because of thunder/lightning. Sort of like a fast pass after a ride breakdown
No it doesn't lmfao 😂. Ive been there so many times even when it rains. When it rains either they wait a little while to see if it stops raining or they just cancel it. This is just a special event
Dude it’s real it’s not cgi it’s literally a Disney world/Disneyland show called fantastic and I went to see both ok it’s not cgi they use that for movies idiot
The lightning in the distance made this even better.
I like how they have still put on a show, even though it was short. It was good and had some great effects in it as well.
Totally. I was actually more excited to see this show since I've seen the normal Fantasmic show several times. It was a nice little surprise.
i know Disney always says no matter what happens the show must go on. :)

It's mainly the safety of the character performers. I can see why leaving a fireworks show armed all night could be an issue. Lol.
Wet fireworks are no good fireworks so using them is better than them going to waste. Also armed fireworks are always dangerous to have.

Whoa! Little April Shower never felt this immersive. ⛈
2:08 Even the lightning played on sync with the music! Awesome stuff.
Looks like it’s used to blow off the pyro after canceling the show. I enjoyed it. Very creative.
Spot on correct (unlike quite a few commenters here)! Otherwise fire damage is possible and unsafe for cast members to perform
I love that combination for fountain, fireworks, and flamethrowers. Nice.
They use the music right at the end just to do the finale, it was pretty cute
Alyssa Arlert if only you could hear “some imagination huh!” at the end 🥺 by far my favorite disney quote
CUTE?!
No
The show started after fantasmic
It's just a bonus show
It says in the description that this version of the show occurs when the original Fantasmic is canceled
@@alyssa_arlert9842 ok
**fountains** splash!! **ending 2 fireworks** *BOOM!* thats how amazing the bonus show is
Omg I really love this version
It’s cool how, because they have to use up the fireworks, they have to create this little thing and it can still act as entertainment anyways
I like how they reuse the fireworks that they were going to use in the real show

@@user-yg4yt4pm5r They can’t let the pyro just sit there. They got to use it one way or another
It would’ve made the show even more epic even in the lightning!
The lighting gave it that extra touch. Like the salsa to your tacos!
aww i love that scene from bambi 😢
Its not from bambi
@@WDWTV506Helper he’s talking about the song.
I like the fact that they use less fireworks on stormy days.
@@IamShrimple actually not because who wants ash falling on their heads when it's raining?
@@IamShrimple exactly, but on these type of days they use less pyro then usual... In the end, judge Judy is undecided. Lol
@@IamShrimple Wow! The shot about 2,700 fireworks in just three minutes. U STAND INCORRECT.

@@IamShrimple can we stop this madness now?
@@IamShrimple wut... U work in Disney world?
Man this looks cool
I can see thunder up there
Yes...
It is bootyful I say!
Lol
Seeing thunder?
Me too
Is a cancelled version of fantasmic
Lol, that's pop trying to tell everybody to get out of here. Thanks to Bambi
When you worked there and they cancelled the show before the people even came up, sometimes they'd just launch the fireworks anyway.....even with no music
Actually, this happened to me, the show was canceled because of the weather, so they make this kind of show. 😅
Did you mean: it occasionally happens when it’s raining 🌧
They were checking a scene.

Cuanto anhelo ir con mi hijo a ver esto algún día!!

Why en when this short show can be use?
Looks like Disneyland world of colors
they should be called this performance "mickey's dream of collors"
That hasn’t been realased yet!
Lightning?
Why you guys are watching the show with a thunderstorm
Oh come on, they still can have Mickey there even for a little bit! That’s so unfair!
Real Thunder!??!!??
What Would Mickey Mouse Say??
But how was the music the same at the end of the show
When wizard Mickey supposed to come at the end that's so weird
But I love the video
Just a different usb stick
They just cut the music differently so they can use all the pyro and make it safe for future performances
This happens when Rain comes in and ruin the show ;-;

@@Dro-Tello He’s right. If they are unable to perform fantasmic due to the wet stage but the weather is far enough away, they will do this instead
I'm not paying money for that, gimme the fastpass to the full version...
