    Can’t believe how open and personal Valerie is in worldwide TV . Can you imagine MTM being asked such questions / she’d stare at you like you didn’t ask her any thing yet . Lol

    When you get to the end of your life do you want to say, "I wasn't happy but I stayed married because that's what was expected" or do you say, "I only have one life, why stay in a marriage I'm not happy in anymore?" I'd go for the latter every time.

    You would never today see a talk show host defend the virtues of marriage like this. Now it's just instant, no-fault, no-questions-asked divorce.

    Her Brooklyn accent isn't as strong here as it is in so many of her TV shows. Maybe it was nothing more than a theatrical affectation.
