    For anyone doing this installation, There is absolutely NO need to get new connectors or add wires. The CK71 Stinger DRL's comes with all connectors required for this install and the wire length is more than sufficient to properly install the DRL's.

      Rob Silva question - do the stock DRLs dim when headlights are turned on (on my Hyundai the DRLs are brighter when headlights are off, and when headlights are turned on they dim, I guess to not dazzle oncoming drivers )? And do these aftermarket ones do the same?

    • @hakinen4000
      @hakinen4000 Před 4 lety +4

      @@AndreiVassiliev Yes to both questions. The factory DRLs do dim when the headlights turn ON, the CK71 DRLs can be installed so that they dim when the headlights turn ON as well, however we have found that dimming the CK71 DRLs provides little to no difference and 97% of customers have installed the CK71 without the dimmer option.

    ...for those who have a Premium 2.0L, or even the other models of Kia Stinger, HAM MEDIA has just released his own easy-to-watch and easy-to-follow step-by-step complete video of installing these already assembled CK71 units , using the Diode Dynamics wiring and DRL's, in full daylight in his own garage...going step-by-step..starting with removing the bumper, while showing how to remove all the different bolts, screws and push pins, and how easy it is to finally hook up the DRL's to your headlamps and turn signal wiring. These lights come already attached to the new set of original plastic factory oval pieces that will easily snap back in place, replacing your already present OEM original black plastic oval vent pieces, and come with the wiring harness and Diode Dynamics controller...you will need at least 6 wire taps to connect the basic 3 wires on each side.

    Gave my car to garage, supposed to be a professional one.

    Great addition, it changes the look of the Kia Stinger. (The addition is like giving blue color contact lenses to a beautiful model with dark color eyes, it will change her face a lot) I have a few questions please. 1)- If I add similar kits to my Kia, will the original assembly lights blink same as the ones in your video? 2)- I truly don't want the original daytime lights, and I want to install new daytime lights working with the manufacturer wiring or working with independent wiring. Can be possible to cut off the original wire for daytime lights and transfer it to new ones or, just cut off the wire and install new daytime lights controlled in a new circuit? 3)- What will happen if I just disconnect/cut off the LED strips daytime lights wire alone, will the turn signal and emergency features still work? how far the electrical system will be affected? I won't mind at all about the car warranty on the cut off lights, but my concern is if by cutting the daytime light wire may also affect the other features and/or the headlights assembly. If cutting the daytime light wire will cause solely a warning sign on the dashboard, then I won't mind at all to keep it that way for years, I just don't like at all the current daytime lights in my Kia, I hate them. Your advice based on your knowledge will be greatly appreciated. I'm stylizing my car from bumper to bumper.

      @@VividVisual I don't see any value in automatic cars. Just what my eyes see. Don't get me wrong, after owning manual cars for 10years, I decided to try a mk6 Golf R with DSG. thought the paddles would be fun but I thought wrong. So I then splurged $5.5k AUD on a stage 2 APR and thought that might change my mind but after a couple weeks the car was mostly in auto and continued to dislike it so I sold it. Total ownership duration 9months. Now I've owned a 2010 Audi a3 sportback 6sp manual for 2yrs albeit much less power but much more fun. I lost money on the Golf R. I noticed the manuals were fetching more. Now my manual Audi is also either holding it's value or appreciating since it was the last series with manual here in AUS.

      @@garoarabian3017 well like I said it depends a lot on the car. Golf Rs aren't that great of cars lol no matter what you out into it. The value will be lost. Now compare a golf R automatic to the stinger and you have a whole different type of perspective on the way it drives. Just like your audi would never compare to a manual porsche. Experience is different depending on which car your choosing to play with but shouldn't ever set the tone for all automatic based off a Golf R experience. You need to get you in some better valued automatics to see the difference. And if you've never been in a dual clutch then you need to really revamp how you look at it after getting some better experiences
