18 or 21 older we believe but; you can be a minor if you are the secondary household member and an adult is the primary holder .
Thanks for information so you reserve your stay and paid upfront and then use your arrp card .So when you reserve a room you just put pay at desk im new learning can you show a video on how to reserve rooms then pay upfront do you screenshot your reservation are tgey send you something thanks
You’re welcome 😇…You can download the AARP app on your phone and book your hotel room via the app OR you can go to the hotel website directly and under discounts you would select AARP. If you have any issues you can always call the hotel you are wanting to stay at and they can walk you through it over the phone. 😉

Benefits? One of their benefits is to steer members to The Hartford insurance and their ‘special’ rate. If you file even a small claim you will live to regret it. Beware.
We haven’t experienced that in the 2 years that we’ve had our cards. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us though. We wonder if that was maybe something they did in your area specifically.

How much to sign up, and how much each year? Does the price change every year? Or is it month to month?
Originally it was free for the first year (they had a special running). Then afterwards it was $7-10 per year. We really like it. It’s an annual membership.🤗
Does someone have to die to benefit from this life insurance? Not sure if it's life or death insurance for such.
Hey Yolanda, this is just a card (no passing away of a loved one needed). We are both very much alive as you can see, and we signed up for ourselves not our parents or any loved ones that are no longer with us…but that was a good question.☺️😉
A couple decades ago I joined AARP. I didn't renew it because I got tired of all the junk mail and advertisements, nearly all of it for things/services I don't need or want, and the remaining ones I can get with AAA or just by asking for a senior discount. I'm not interested in getting a $120 room for $90--I'll shop for one at $60. I usually rent cars from Enterprise because they seem to have the best availability and prices--but my own car gets such great gas mileage that I simply prefer to drive most places rather than flying and renting cars, now that I have the time to do it.
Hey Bob, That’s awesome that you found what works best for you and your household. We are all about only getting things that are beneficial to ya. For us, we find it beneficial and don’t get spammed with advertising (so maybe that has changed since you had it some decades ago as you stated). Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.☺️

I use to have AARP, and the discounts are real at some places of businesses they will even say AARP excepted here.
