I'm a resident of San Diego. I'm SO SICK of people saying we voted for people like this. I remember the "attempt" to recall Newsom. There was "recall newsom" boards and posters EVERYWHERE with support for elder. Everybody hates the guy and he won the election? We voted for Newsom the same way America voted for Biden. We didn't.

I'm not a Californian,but I've been in and out of the state a lot. San Diego is entirely different and in my opinion much better than any other metropolitan area in CA.

I have always said that no one exists with who I agree with 100% of the time on 100% of all topics. It's an impossibility. Instead, I take the topic on hand, listen to what they're saying, and make my decision on that and nothing else. I go by the old adage "Keep it simple stupid" or KISS. Don't tangle one issue up with different unrelated topics. It's a pointless game.

Apparently, I don’t know why she said that because if she was really born and raised in California probably she was raised in Beverly Hills, or Huntington Beach, or somewhere in a safe area. Because apparently she didn’t went to the ghetto or experience it. Places like downtown LA, East LA, Compton, Santa Ana in orange county, Bell Gardens, right where I grew up, or Huntington Park, etc. and many more. There is a big way to fix this, and I’m still think it’s mind-boggling that a lot of people are still dumb enough to not realize it. What most of it leads to high living expense, homeless, problems, and high crimes, is one simple answer why a lot of people left including small businesses in California. Is high taxes. Because even though middle class and lower class can get their tax refunds and it’s only once a year. Well, there’s some states that have zero state income taxes live better than California and New York. Just because you raise the minimum wage doesn’t mean anything if California keeps increasing their taxes every year. When you raise minimum wage and raise taxes at the same time. Nothings changed you’re in the same limbo no matter what. If you really want to fix California how about lower the taxes or make the taxes to zero for the state of California income. That way all California residence can now put more money in their pockets in their checks. But they don’t want to because politicians especially Democrats since they’ve been a hard-core blue state for 30 years they don’t wanna do it because they’re not making any money. And Ana is still clueless on that. 🤦 she is not really smart at all. But atleast she is somewhat smarter than her stupid friend Jake cenk and his nephew.

What is scary is listening to the liberal left who are determined that they are in the right and that the reason why their policies fail and are so destructive is because of the former president and his party. I am still in California in the Bay Area and it's shocking how people still vote for him, but recently I learned why. People have no clue what's going on. I met this women who was around 50 years old and she thought Jerry Brown was still the governor. I mean how the hell are these people allowed to vote when they don't even know their own governor.

I went to California for the first time in my life and within the first 30 minutes walking the street I saw a blatant drug deal on the corner and a homeless person taking a dump by a driveway. I left 4 days early.

People from sac come her to rob stores, pedophiles and sex offenders are everywhere. The homeless have grown more numerous. The gas station on Atwood and 49 is infested with homeless and drug dealers. They'll steal your laundry if you have an apartment with a washer and dryer outside especially after a rain storm. Down the street from my house two kids got killed by a drunk driver on the 49 a few years back. Also, down the street a dude shot and killed his cheating wife. The cops arrested him down by the cemetery and two Mexicans got into an argument and one shot the other over some stupid crap. The town's mayor just hid the homeless camp over on 1st street. Instead of fixing the issue. That's not even half of it. They shut down an elementary school and moved the kids to another one down the street cause of they had financial issues. Anyways, now the school is a cluster nightmare especially when picking them up. Also, cops and other agencies are understaffed. Cops were retiring cause of a variety of reasons and Newsom was taking money from their Calpers. I can go on and on.

@@JC-dy7tf she did a debate with Shapiro a few years ago. Obviously she couldn't hang, but it also felt like she was agreeing with everything he said once he got a chance to really explain things. This is a woman who is only just starting to find where she stands on the issues as a free-thinking adult. Like most people, she just initially got taken into one of the tribes, and didn't look back. This is why you can't take anyone seriously on their politics before they get to around 35; they're just regurgitating until that point. It takes a while to really start sorting through the nonsense.

Born and raised a broke Californian. I watched my parents struggle, I’ve watched my family struggle. And I have struggled a majority of my life but through hard work and consistency I’m breaking the cycle. It should not take 3 generations of pain and struggle to barely live above my means. Drugs, homelessness, crime and violence has NEVER gotten better. It has gotten worse every single day. I’ve been in the streets from a child to a young adult and I can tell you first hand, IT HAS NOT GOTTEN BETTER. WE NEED CHANGE!

The few times I have watched Ana Kasparian, I have really gone back and forth on her ideas. But this time...I am super impressed with her knowledge and her presentation, and I agree with every word she said. Also, I appreciate the guy on the far right, who told her: "Go on", when the panelists had interjected and gotten her off point.
Fortunately, with that "Go on", she was able to continue her well-thought out comments without a skip.
She switched on the issue of crime after it came to her backyard and she was personally affected by it. Sad it took that for her to see reality but I’m glad she is speaking out against it.

As someone who lost their house in the Camp Fire, I'd like to thank Ana for continuing to bring attention to it and how we got sold out.
And her little defense of Trump was a nice divergence from what I usually hear from the left.
It's great to see she's on the path to awareness.
That's a scary proposition when you come from the left, so I encourage her to keep going.
I was born in Paradise and left when I was 16. 20 years later I moved back and for the first time in many years I was very happy, and it was because I was back home. 2 years later I lost everything in the Camp Fire and I still get really upset thinking about how the state and Federal government screwed us. The only people who made good from the entire disaster were the lawyers who sued PG&E on our behalf. The state wanted to charge me hundreds of thousands of dollars to clean up my property so I could rebuild. It made me a very bitter person when it comes to how California is governed. And anyone who believes that the Newsom is a competent leader is an idiot. What really sucks is that Butte County is mostly Republican. The last time a Democratic candidate for president got the majority of votes in Butte County was JFK in 1960. We are one of the few districts in California that has a Republican representing us in Congress.
I am a bondsman family owned and operated for 30 years, the level of free bail or pre trial release is devastating to the criminal justice system and equally dangerous to the community since once there on pre trial there is NO ONE who oversees these criminals

I was born and raised in California but left over 10 years ago. It was already going downhill at the time and when I go back it genuinely makes me sad. Had such amazing memories and can’t stand to see what it has become.

Things are less safe, homeless people are EVERYWHERE, regulation is through the roof, and it is no longer the beautiful state that I grew up in but has become a dirty and disgusting dystopia where even radical leftists are admitting the failure of their own policies.

As an ex-resident of LA, apart from the obvious de criminalization issues that Ana mentioned, I was also annoyed by the fact that, as that was happening, laws and regulations for your everyday folk remained on the books. So as a normal person you will still be fined on the beach for having a beer, on some municipalities for smoking a cigarette in public, while at the same time the crackhead 3 feet away can do as they please, no questions asked.
