Your channel got recommended to me today. I hav to say i hav never understood why people presume to tell anyone else what eat and not eat. Too freakin many karens out there. My name is the result of a karen stickin her head literally inside my van driver window with me sitting in the driver seat ,calling me a packrat because i had it loaded in 2019 after a shopping trip to Denver before i went back home to my small town. Shes lucky my window didnt accidently roll up!!!!!!!

One of my cats had.
Thyroid problems too.She had an underactive thyroid and unfortunately we had to have it removed but she's doing so much better and no medicine

Hi Kevin and Michelle…..I cut up my green onions and somehow they last longer.
Yes we will cut them up and use them up. Thank you.
I cut up my green onions just right above the white part and place them in a shallow glass of water. Within a week, and I have tall green onions again. I snip them with scissors and drain the water and add fresh water and repeat. I have ten growing and going at the same time at varying heights. Those sucker's costs over a dollar now. Hang On World!

It's shocking how much things cost these days I was mostly shocked at the Taco seasoning and onions like Holy moly 😢. Thanks for sharing your haul. And just to say there should be no shaming about what you food or anything thing else you buy to feed you and your family, its food at the end of the day. You have no garden to grow food, you keep it real. Yourself and Michelle are a blessing to many viewers.

You were very kind how you addressed the mean negative trolls in the beginning of your video. Im always looking for new ways of what people buy and fix for meals. Its nice when we see men getting involved in the grocery hauls and cooking in the kitchen. My husband has no interest in shopping or cooking. Wished he did. He does go by the store and pick up things and does some grocery shopping, not by choice though. 😅😂 I have some health issues, so he does help out. I love the smart ones in the Sante Fe Rice and beans, 3 Cheese Ziti With Meatballs, and the Angel Hair Marinara. They are so good, and just enough to fill me up. They wouldn't work too well for my husband. He would need 3 of them. 😅 We had white fish last night baked in the oven. I put garlic salt, paprika, old bay seasoning on both sides, then put little pats of butter on top with lemon juice squirted on the fish. Its so good. I put a bed of white rice on my plate them put the piece of fish on top of it. The sides we had with it was... Sautéed Squash and Onions, Baked Potato, and Pinto Beans. Usually just have fish on rice, green beans and slaw and maybe hush puppies. The squash came out of our garden. First of the season. My husband also picked 3 zuchinni. I may sauté them with onions or make some zuchinni bread with them. Do you eat things like that? We eat alot of good ole country food. We are originally from East TN but live in SC. My husband retired from the Air Force and we decided to settle in SC temporarily, but it looks like it's going to be for good. Have been here 20 years now. Just don't see us getting back there. He has been at his current job too long to make a change now. We both hit the big 60! 😮

Hello folks yes I feel very blessed also being able to still get the things I like and not having to cut back . That being said I’m wondering how much of this inflation is due to supply and demand versus price gauging. You being a truck driver and have said many times what you’re seeing on the route then it stands to reason that shortages has to be a part of the oricing . Hope you and Michele are keeping well And prepping accordingly. Thank you for the good tips and tricks you show up from time to time . ❤ blessings always

Our time is our only true asset, we sell it at our job in exchange for currency to buy things we need or want, So Sometimes we must weight convenience to cost. Also for the rare treats where we would not use all of a purchase, even for the smallest available packet (at the highest unit price like as not), a convenience purchase of a kit/mix makes the best sense and the best use of cents.

Our green onions are more expensive now. BTW, I usually keep about an inch and a half, put them in about an inch of water,(changing it daily), put them on a window sill and I get another growth of tops to use.

I've actually planted my green onions, after they sprouted roots and a new leaf or two, to get larger bulbs later in the summer. The stuff they are selling now isn't worth the price they charge for the average person.

Watch Walmart they have specials on the dried sauce packets 5 for $5 ( in southern Alberta). I use the poutine alot because for $1 you get 1 1\2 cups off gravy and they are gluten free.

We live in UpState NY. We also have high prices. We have a wonderful chain called Aldi's in our town. I don't know if you have it in Canada. We save so much money every week when we do our shopping. It's different than most stores. We have to bring our own bags.and unload your cart yourself and put your items in your own bags. There prices are so much lower. Also their own brands do not have artificial coloring and no high fructose corn syrup they have a unique supply of delishous items.

I'm going to ask you a strange question. I remember when I would put on a pot of coffee, either Maxwell House or Folgers and the aroma would wake up my late husband in the morning. I opened a can this morning and gave it the sniff test. It doesn't smell like coffee and it doesn't taste the same. Does anyone else find this?

Hmmmm, I know many things have changed. I still smell my Maxwell house when I brew it but maybe it isn’t as strong as it used to be.

Agreed. Many years ago I switched to grinding my coffee at home. I buy whole bean coffee and freeze it until I'm ready to make a pot. To check the freshness of the batch I gently squeeze the bag and sniff at the vent, you will know an old roast by the sour smell. Bonus is that I can use half by double grinding the beans so they are fine.
My brother had to stay at my house a few weeks, and he was a coffee snob, he said that the fresh ground coffee was as good or better than the brew from the coffee shop.
I think opening a new can of coffee doesn't smell as good with the foil seals as it did when we needed to use a can opener. That hiss followed by the aroma of coffee was one of my favorite smells!
@@gailruuhela5627 Something to consider... Covid effected the olfactory centers of many people. Our sense of smell may not yet have fully recovered. We are still learning about the long term effects of this nasty disease. 😢
