I can attest that he did not tell a lie. A girl I wanted to linkup with back in early 2000s lived in blake court, i arrived and saw the building full 15-20 of the mandem on bikes, sittin on the wall, smoking etc at the entrance. Lets just say that linkup got cancelled asap - i took a u turn because i was not trying to walk through these man😂
😅😅 crazy
🐈
@@marcp3788shut up man u’d do the same
Why would they have just say your aunty lives there
@@ishak4337 yeah you're right, in hindsight I will get that coochie by any means. But back then I was around 15 or 16 and it was an era where Nokia 3210's were getting robbed left and right and every estate was a no go zone lol
This video just shows how time flies and shows why youngsters should not waste there times or lives doing nonsense
Well said
True they knock down the blocks and build roads through dem then all u have is memory's don't waste time.
What's gonna happen is these all these people will eventually be priced out. As the development in South Kilburn is rapid. I know, believe me. I used to live on Malvern Road long before his generation was even born.
@createnotdestroy3099 it's the same where I'm at a whole generation has gone mostly students and people from overseas live in my area the rent has trippled also its madness.
Damn, so much nostalgia here. I used to live at Dickens house. Me and my bro were playin goldeneye 64 at night and we suddenly heard a loud BANG outside; it was around november so we thought it was fireworks until hella police and ambulance showed up. We realized someone had just been M'd on the staircase of the building, the blood was still there the next day. This was around 2000. Also summertime was extremely active, i hated coming from school having to walk through an army of 20-30 man just to get into the building - i was a regular face so they didnt trouble me but damn, SK was truly one the pits of hell and those who are new to the area have noooo clue how demonic it used to be 😂. Now as strange as it sounds I miss these days because even though alot of bad stuff used to happen; the place had character that you'll never see again, anyway, thanks for posting this and bringing back memories
That incident was in 99 summer
RIP DINO
Kilburn was different man trust, i loved my childhood growing up there, big up justo every time as well
Now it’s getting doggied by mozart lol
This was proper authentic I can’t help but feel your sadness at how dead everything has become.
Being from stonebridge SK was like a second home. Early 2000's was wild. Bodies dropping left right and centre, triple murder in my block, gunshots ringing out most nights, police getting run out the estate, i seen a washing machine get dashed out the top of the block 🤣 NW was a crazy place to live back then. Justo's name carries weight too, hes cerified

Rest up Tank ⚰💐 I made sure I was at that funeral 🙏🏾 Justo is one of the realist guys I've ever met. Salute ✋🏾🖐🏾👋🏾💯
These man are real north west legends
grew up at peel precinct, this area is unrecognisable now. this guy is doing some great psycho geography here. I used to remember him and others chilling and filming music videos in the car park and playing money up. blessings and respect for making this video. all of these memories is all we have now.
South Kilburn, Wembley, Neasden, Stonebridge, Harlesden, Kensal Green... North West London was just different icl. The 90s and 2000s were the best. Mad times, but the best.
Faaacts!!! Gentrification is ruining the community factor of NW and trading it in for better conditions, but what's the point of better conditions with no community to enjoy them.
Grew up mainly in west but north west was defo a vibe in the 2000’s
@@malcolmdjalo7050facts I used to run around sk, Killy and Mozart back in 03 4 5 ect used to go to ok club too see man like trible there… he’s right I lived in mozart but used to hit ok club regular went st agustines to
@@xo6795 ah yeah, I grew up around Queen’s Park like, 10 mins from Mozart but 5 mins away from SK those are memories I can’t forget 🙏🏾
@@malcolmdjalo7050 trust me my guy never forget those times
The man he talks about falling from the 16th tower block was my best friend Veno Joseph We were in the same class at school and the Twins he talks about were his Sisters the lived at 22 blake Court, hed be 51yrs old ic he we're alive , made me so sad 4:33 the esya
❤
I remember that day. I believe he was my friends cousin. Remember going there after school. Kilburn Park. May his soul rest in perfect peace
My friend lived on the estate, and he knew Veno, I see him one time. Veno was a big guy, not sure what the story was behind it.
Loved the podium that linked all the blocks to the shops!
The shops were great, Nish, video shop, dry cleaners, it was great
Intro riddem sounds mad..💯👏🏾👏🏾👊🏿🔥🔥
Give it another 20 year's all the most notorious estates in inner London will be gone. Them blocks are coming down soon.
Lol facts, South Kilburn, stonebridge and the rest of the estates are gonna be lookin like Oxford circus
majority of the blocks got knocked down already
@realestudergroundsou You know the council are gonna disperse everyone and replace them with people they can't relate to.
Million percent regeneration and development. Can see it already being done in east London
@@equinox95Real talk. They moving all the OG’s to the country side and places like Ruislip 😭😭
It's mad cause I'm a South man from near bricky but went college in West.Used to pass this hood knew it was grimy but I was blessed every bad man I've encountered has hailed man.Maybe cause of how I carried myself and looked but I've always been unashamedly a good yute that just stands my ground.
Be honest these man confiscated your phone a couple times on your way home from School
@@jamaicaboy544 😂😂😂
☠️😂
Used to live in floor 12 fielding house , got demolished with Brontë house , only Austin house is there now , good times in the community centre and playing with the other kids
Different ends similar stories!! Real talk!!
Real talk, we had this type of set up in my bits too. Everything is different now, everyone is scattered all over the place, dead or in jail for life.
More of these !
He aint lying about how active it was and not even being able to drive through. That block he's standing in front of 10mins in would always have a bag of man on the balcony watching who's coming in to the estate.
Home not so sweet home. Memories man ❤❤❤
brings back memories seeing all this again haha, big up justo tho, OG status now!
Loved the video. The precinct , ❤oh the memories❤
I lived in 63 Blake Court thus brings back memories

I miss Kilburn High Road
I lived at 12 Blake Court. Didn’t do road but knew the code.
I know most of the stories my guy is telling you
Big up yourself bro👊🏾👊🏾
Lol shout out Mtc solicitors. I remember one time I had to go there. On my way out saw nuff man just chilling and watching I was shook still 😂
The most important part of this was when Justo recounts life before moving to the UK. This voyage is rarely a case of arriving to achieve new found wealth in the empire where the sun never set. The fact that they were forced to leave Africa is something that the rest of the world can benefit to understand. Bridging the gratitude that these new citizens of England had felt for the shelter of what formerly was, South Kilburn.
To think that this all began with a mothers yearning for an escape, so strongly that it would make her forego any dream she'd once aspired to in her previous life, in order to find sanctuary for her child. The devotion she bestowed upon them to thrive, from the safety of that apartment, regardless of what lay beyond its walls.
In better days, maybe we'll see visuals of this man upon a return journey to the the Democratic Republic of Congo, to complete a story of redemption and success 🇨🇩
If you haven't listened to the 'FAC - Kilburn Times vol. 1' mixtape, LISTEN TO IT! it's on youtube.. it will give you a real insight into what happened on this estate that changed everything for the mandem and it's THE BEST collective underground rap project to come out of london in history!
Great video🤝
Love bro. Respect 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Loved watching this, brought back so many memories.
Respect brooo
I used to live on Malvern road I remember still live in sk remember you lots
Original kilburn man back in the country did you like central london screens and billboards and aboard big up all kilburn massive
My family are from SK so it was like a second home. Granville, precinct, even Tosa's. Memories!
The younger generation will never understand how shit use to be like back in late 90s to the early 2000s
How young are we talking?

Albert Road to alpha 👊🏿
My old ends! 😎 It's changed so much
Malvern Rd I use to have a mate on that street plus a couple in Blake court
I feel old. I was born in South Kilburn in a basement in Kilburn Park Road in 1960. Went to the OK club when it was GOOD. Lived in Exeter Court opposite Granville Road Swimming Baths from 67 to 74. My parents were Irish immigrants. I recognise all the Road names and some of the blocks but many were after my time. I loved South Kilburn and it remains in my heart as my birthplace. I could tell so so many stories.
NORF WESS LONDON'S FINEST TING!
Back in the late 90s early 2000s that block was bouncing 100s of man's on the streets , south Kilburn has always been the ghetto and always will 😂😂 I've seen justo a million times cbiz a million times but never did I know m huncho is from South Kilburn
North Kilburn I swear?

Nah your right lol its malvern
Yo that is the projects for real , every project buildings look like jails

My old block Blake Court I used to live in number 63 way back in the day
Crazy how they've got those nice Victorian houses right across from the estate 😮

Rip Tank.
he is not telling you the full story.kilburn was taken over by brige members when they moved in. sk was not violent area before then. they use to be cool with zart too.

Is this the Justo, African child use to mention all the time?
Yup
Yeah, Justo co signed AC on his last interview, said AC is a real one
Yes it is indeed
Good vid but a lot of facts where left out over biased feelings. No 1 took over prescient no1 knows huncho or knocks like that .. justo is a solid guy but this is promo for music not a real history lesson on Kilburn Park(prescient)or south Kilburn. Good luck to justo with he deserves success. 🙏🏾
100% It’s not a full history on South Kilburn, but it’s touching on certain things that I witnessed and done when I was young I cannot tell the full story Because I will be getting Nicked 🙏🏿 But I appreciate you thanks for the love,my family
ngl i always looked at prescient as south kilburn especially now its hard to differentiate with out the the blue bridge from where the estate starts in my eyes its once you take the turn from the high street into kilburn park your in south kilburn
