We are on collage art assignment 5 and working on something that came in the mail. I get so many things that come in the mail so it's hard to choose but good material for a collage art assignment can come from catalogs that come in the mail. That's what I'm using in my collage.
If you are a beginner to collage, this is a great project for you. Take a look at the list of prompts and start looking for papers that you can use for assembling collage. Grab your supplies and work along with me.

🔴 I'm Margarete Miller. I'm a collage artist who loves to use vintage papers and vintage themes in my art. I also love all things postal, including lots of postage stamps in my art. - Jak na to + styl
Margarete, thank you. Your commentary of how you pick which bits to use is helping me better understand why I pick bits and helping me to not just add more bits but rather consider the reason for each piece already there. Thank you 😊
Good! I’m so glad it was helpful! 💙
I am enjoying your series, you have gotten so eloquent explaining your thought process and why you do things a certain way. I am learning a lot!
I'm so glad you're learning something and gaining confidence. 👍🏻
Love how you maintained the focal image of the postage stamp by auditioning & editing items for a beautiful outcome!! ❤️🔬⚛️
Yes! Lots of auditioning and editing. I like those words 😉👍🏼❣️
Great tip about sanding that (outstanding) vintage stamp! I have one that needs it. Enjoying this series 🎉
So glad the sanding tip was helpful! I lost my one piece of sanding paper and I need to get more. The problem is that I forgot where I got it from in the first place!
Margarete: enjoyed watching you collage. Creating a collage card at that small scale is a challenge, but always fun to do. I always pick up tips and info from you. Thank you. Carol from California
Thanks for watching, Carol 😘
I love watching you create. It's fun!
Thank you, Jeannette! 😘
Oh😮 ! Not 3 or 5 but 7 pieces today ! 😂 ok ok woman . ❤ I’ll consider as well for my collage.
Really?!! I forgot to count. I’m staying with odd numbers?! How cool 😉
It come beautiful together 😍👏 and how fun with the post card klubb 😊 thank you for sharing your nett links. Your videos are giving so much value beyond crafting 🙏🥰 lots of love from Arctic Norway 🥰🍀🌼🌸
Thanks for watching, Lena! I'm so glad you've got some ideas to play with 😉👍🏻💜
Thank you for sharing. I hope you are well. Nice day. Regards
I know azimuth as a term used when navigating with a compass. But I googled it in another window anyway while watching you collage. Turns out it has another meaning pertaining to the placement of a celestial object versus an observer. There was an interesting diagram that actually looks quite like the global type stamp image that you decided not to use. Anyway I ended up printing out a couple of images / sections from the Wikipedia article "azimuth" for my "Space" gluebook which is almost finished (inspired by your Mars passport!). I don't have quite enough ephemera to go with certain themes so I still do use my printer to print out things quite often. I just thought it was funny how I got a few things for my collage from watching you. :) I really enjoy these little themes you're sharing with us!
Wow! I need to google that word, too! Sounds fascinating ❤️
Really enjoying this series, thanks ! 💕
I'm so glad. Thank you!! 💜
Thank you for sharing your process. I always learn something. ❤
Thanks, Toni🌷😘🌟
You are so lucky to get stamp catalogues. I'm sure we might have in Canada at one time, but now they cost $75 for each year they're offered. Grrrr.
I don’t think they send them out to everyone. My average order is over $100 each time. I think they’ve got me on a special list 😉❣️👍🏼
You’re an amazing artist and teacher! ❤
Thanks so much❣️😘
M encantan sus tutoriales gracias desde Argentina ❤
Gracias!! Thanks so much for watching 💙
Lovely!
Thank you! 💜
Hello that stamp book is really awesome I will have to see if I can get it from the post office here in Albuquerque. Looking forward to this challenge. It is always so helpful to watch you start your papers and make decisions to get just the right look that you want. Sometimes I just do it too fast and don't get the best result. But I'm learning from you and I'm getting better I think. Blessings and hugs from New Mexico
I'm so glad you're trying and sticking with it, Judie. I'm cheering for you😉👍🏻❣️
New follower and I really appreciate your composition discussion here. Loving your content ❤
Thanks so much! I hope you are creating, too 👍🏼❣️😉
@@MargareteMiller I’m planning to make a glue board book! You’ve inspired me 🌻
I’m so impressed with your ink pad/stamp collection. My inks are very limited. Another great collage! What is the hashtag you mentioned for this in an earlier video?
I found the box with all the ink pads at Goodwill for $3. I almost shouted out loud 😂. Thanks for watching 💜
