I lost my licence a couple of years ago so no fishing for me, mental health has gone away, all i think about is going fishing and i cant wait to get back on the bank. My missus left me cos of my obsession with it, i dont care she can piss off😂
This for me is a great start to the podcast, not many people will agree with me but I just enjoy listening to Dan and hes tips or stories I just love hearing. Top bloke 👌
I loved this new podcast, Dan when he speaks of absorbing nature instead of being part of the daliy rat race. I love to wake up before first light and watch the promise of a new day begin, what new adventures will life send my way.
I really liked Simon and have huge respect for what he did. Rich is new to me but strikes me as very perceptive and a really good chap also. Hope you get some new and interesting conversations going.
He was fucking clueless about angling so how you can say he was decent I don't know not one person i know use to watch it just for Simon if anything he use to ruin the podcast with his stupid questions 🤣
great podcast rich has slotted into that role seamlessly in what were big shoes to follow but that is a role he was born to do he lets the interview flow perfectly asking questions at the right time and letting the interview flow effortlessly
Fantastic to see its back up and running looking forward to more podcasts be good to hear from some of the guys who are not in the public eye and yet have had some of the most sort after carp around

Great to have you back & Rich is a brilliant choice. Love the recycle chat Dan - you are spot on and I would love to see more fisheries & companies doing more. We are the custodians of the countryside and should do more to protect the environment. Please keep doing what you are doing and hopefully more people will come round to our way of thinking.
Exactly my thinking, surely Korda should be leading by example when it comes to recycling etc. Think of the amount of gear they sell that's in single use plastic when there's no need for it to be.

The ecology topic is vital. The items Danny's referring to are atypical too. I feel like aside from littering the amount of plastic and I'm referring to pre-tied and tackle packaging too, needs to ALL be biodegradable. Loved this and all the passion and professionalism here. 🫡
With reference to the Mercers stocking. The warden's name who run the club at the time was Adam Horsborough (now passed away) he lived in Nutfield Road
Had a friend who was on the syndicate at the time Dan is speaking about and I went down to see him a few times on my way home from work. Seem to remember that Long Bob was the syndicate leader and he had to send letters out to the syndicate to request they stopped referring to The Fiddler as the Fiddler as there was no basis to the name apart from how he looked and Bob didn't think it was right he was singled out like that. The problem was that no one actually knew his real name - LOL - I never saw Dan on my visits but I remember turning up the day after he'd thrown a hissy fit on the bank and everyone was laughing about it. To be fair to Dan, I believe that on his next visit, he bought everyone a Chinese to apologise. I would have loved to have fished there at the time. Regarding the publicity - Chilly, Jenks & Laney all got a winter ticket and they referred to the southern sandpit in their articles.
The spod you was talking about was made by my mate John Bryan aka scouser he made the first ones using a silicone tube and metal arms and the second one out of pipe with fights they when miles 120yards plus he was way in front of any other people or tackle company. He moved to Canada.
