Hate to say it but Operations is easy mode for all pilots since enemy is clumped up, very predictable to know where they will be at, lack of AAs and other reasons... Hence why you see Plane montage videos on mostly Operations. Conquest is a whole different beast.

Why do all vehicles have 3rd person view and unlimited ammo? I think that makes vehicles a little unbalanced against infantry.
SirArghPirate not really ammo runs out and has to regen plus aa and anti tank weapons are pretty good
Well, vehicles have an ammo pool that restocks fairly quickly, and they can repair themselves. AT-weapons don't restock automatically, unless there's a support close by. For balance, either the rocket gun should restock after a certain amount of time, or the tanks should depend on teamwork (repair and ammo) as well, like for instance in BF2. The problem with tanks is that they are independent on teamwork, and in combination with high accuracy means that on most servers the tankers are far too defensive camping far behind their own infantry in order to score easy long range kills against enemy infantry. Let's be somewhat real, WW1 tanks didn't have range at all, and mg fire was to prevent people climbing onto the chassis, not to mow down infantry from 100m away - implying that the purpose of tanks (except e.g. artillery) should be to advance the front lines, not to stay behind with unlimited ammo killing enemy infantry.
I think its balnaced because planes are meant to be powerful. If there isnât infinite ammo for vehicles, what would they do if they run out, eject? It would be boring and planes are meant to be better than infantry since there are so few of them

Stodeh i have no Crosshair when i sit as a Plane gunner, is this a bug or is it an option i have missed? Help please can't find anything about it on any forum
Mr IIISpliffDocIII Its most likely a bug. I suggest you go through your settings and see if you didnt turn off the crosshair by accident

Shamlan Hasawi You always need 2 or 3 people to stay on a flag at all times. Does not matter how secure it is you always need men on the flag.
Flying in bf1 is the easiest so far out of all the battlefields, trench fighter kit is deadly with a good pilot

When using the fighter plane, what is the best tip or maneuver for getting an enemy fighter plane, that is shooting you, off your tail?
The Shatzer do anything to slow down so they overtake you, other than that just make sure you always know where enemy planes are before they get the chance to get behind you

I'd be carefull with the slowing down... When you loose air-speed you loose maneuverability making you a sitting duck. This might be viable as an attack plane, especially with a Gunner, but not so much with the fighter plane.
You CAN try to make him overshoot... but that's either if you catch him by surprise (use something like the mountains on Monte Grappe or a cloud to block his vision for istance) or if he is a scrub...
Even if he overshoots he has enough air-speed to turn around quickly and get on your tail again... so this tactic is pretty dependent on your surroundings and your opponents lack of skill...
And if the enemy pilot is atleast decent he will kill you off in no time, because you are literally a paper plane as a fighter.
There are a few ways to get him off your tail and behind him though, the success rate depends on your skill, his skill and a bit of luck of course...
The easiest thing is propper yaw rudder control. Even though this is considered pretty basic you can outturn almost all unexperienced pilots with ease... When performing a turn, instead of just turning your Plane 90° sideways and pitching up, turn it around 75°, and use the yaw rudder to stear in the same direction. This makes you turn much faster and you can win the "circle game" (when both fighters are just turning circles trying to outturn each other) against novice pilots with ease.
Another thing is to time your turns, so that you are passing obstacles very closely which might force him to break off. This requires good judgement on your part. Since his turns will always have an turning point closer to your choosen obstacle (due to the delay caused by reaction time) this is a very viable tactic if the surroundings are right. Good obstacles for that cause are Mountains (Monte Grappa, Sinai Dessert) or these "Baloon traps" on Quentin for instance. Also Behemoths are a viable choice.
Another good trick is to turn your Plane upside down and pitch up as soon as you realize that someone is on your tail, so that you take a sharp "half-loop" downwards. If he doesn't realise you turning upside down, he can't track you since your pitching up is twice as fast as his pitching down. The half-loop is followed by a quick turn to probably get on his tail of course... This requires some alttitude though, so watch out ^^
One maneuver that I'm pretty successfull with when I can't shake him off with the basic stuff: Enter the circle game, at one point fly straight up and enter into a loop, right after the peak of the loop throttle, so that your loop gets very tight (don't throttle too soon because then you might end up loosing too much airspeed). When you drop, you regain all your precious airspeed and you follow up with a turn into the same direction you were heading before... When done correctly you will end up behind him... When done sloppy you'll still most likely shake him off your tail at the very least.
You can also try to shake him off by performing a loop, and at half-way of the loop you turn your plane 180° and head off in the opposite direction. If he doesn't see you turning he won't be able to follow you.
Just some don'ts:
Don't try to shake him off by flying straight through rough terrain, only slightly maneuvering left and right, hoping for him to crash... that only works against scrubs, and they are much easier and safer to shake off with the maneuvers described above...
Don't fly straight upwards either, you will loose a lot of airspeed, and end up as a sittig duck.
And of course... don't let yourself get driven into enemy territory... A fighter on your tail is bad enough... don't need an AA on your tail too... because as soon as your wings are damaged you're at a big disadvantage... and if your yaw rudder get's taken out you're pretty much toast...
