I will just be happy if they can finally give us voice to text that isn't garbage. Spellcheck, text selection, copy/paste, all the basics are also still pretty bad. Using the voice to text in the GPT app shows how much better it could be with something like the open source whisper model.
100% agree. I also use ChatGPT’s built-in voice input a lot, just because it works so much better. But yeah, then I always have to copy and paste the text somewhere else afterward.
Perfect. That is what I love about Apple. Intuitive, computing services without being a computer geek and lowering the cost of computing services with minimal long-term investment. An iPhone and iPad without the iMac effort and cost for my level of computer needs!
Agreed. But it is also frightening. I saw no reason to replace my old iPad Pro with its old A Bionic chip and my MacBook with the M1, but they come up with something that makes me feel again that I need more powerful hardware now.

I was really avoid making assumption about 10 years waiting for AGI that is much more shorter.
We have no evidence at this time. We need something to break through this wall, but right now we don’t know what it is. It might be this year, or maybe in 2050. We can only assume, but these are just thoughts without a basis.

On one hand, I completely agree. The core remains the same. But the dough of this pie can vary greatly. The essence of human societies and cultural layers has changed many times and very significantly. We often perceive this part on the same level as our deeply ingrained human nature, but while the human essence remains constant, the cultural aspect can change very easily even within a single generation.
