Don't think its gonna happen. They also need to jump into the Supremes that did this song first.
I think in a past video they mentioned "Easy Lover" was being blocked.

They reacted to the Supremes singing this song but it wasnt the airplay version and it wasn't very good. Maybe it was a session recording or something.

[For the record, my comment below is not about the Phil Collins cover but refers to the substandard version of "YCHL" that was played last year in the Rob Squad reaction to the original Supremes version. It was not the released hit record but an early practice recording with numerous flaws.]
My original post: "This is a really bad version of "You Can't Hurry Love"-- entire lines of the lyrics are edited out. Ross stops singing at one point! Is this some awful "live" recording? Who posted this? Please find the original version. This is a travesty."

Rob Squad seemed oblivious to the screw-up but they do still remember hearing the song. So there's that.

Im 63 years old. I grew up hearing Diana Ross and the Supremes singing this song on the stereo in my house. It is an amazing song by those ladies ❤ That being said, Phil Collins did a spectacular cover and I love it every bit as much as the origina.l

its the orchestral scoring in this version that blows my mind-the string flourish just as he sings the title is wonderful and makes this version fun, playful, light, passionate and bouncy.

Hey ya’ll, for another Phil Collins flavor check out “Mama”. It’s a Genesis tune and he delivers another amazing vocal performance. And the song is a radical departure from what you’ve heard from Phil so far. A worthy listen to.

There's a movie with Phil Collins called Buster. It's all about the great train robbery from the 1960s. Phil plays Buster Edwards, a guy who went from a thief/robber to the most wanted man in Britian. I never knew Phil was such a brilliant actor till i watched it.

Jay and Amber, this song helped propel Phil Collins into superstar status. He took this Supremes tune to #10. An even bigger cover by Phil came with his 1988 #1: A Groovy Kind Of Love. Hope you check it out.
He released an album called "Going Back" that was all covers of motown standards. Most of them are bangers as well. _Ain't Too Proud to Beg_ is probably the best on the album.

Phil was so big during the 80's. He can do slow ballads or fast rockin' tunes. Love this plus "Two Hearts", "Against All Odds", "Sussudio", "In The Air Tonight", "Easy Lover", "I Missed Again", "You Know And I Know", "Don't Lose My Number", "Who Said I Would", and "Separate Lives" to name a few!

I remember when I picked up the album this came from in 1983, "Hello, I Must Be Going!" From 1982, I have a soft spot for that album. This cover was a big single back then.

Phil Collins Is The Best 💯, Great Reaction Guy's
The reason that you don't appreciate the song "in the air of the night" is that you never saw the first Miami vice episode in which that song was featured.
One thing that don't get mentioned enough is that Phil was an amazing drummer. Highly regarded by his peers in the 70's when he was with Genesis and Peter Gabriel was the singer. If you get a chance I is that you go down that rabbit hole with Genesis, especially the early albums prior to Phil becoming the singer. If you like Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Yes, then you will absolutely love some old Genesis and you'll understand why he was regarded as one of the best of his generation on drums.
A couple more to consider from Phil/Genesis are;
Genesis-Mama (it's kind of dark and haunting. Lol
Phil; he did a duet with Philip Bailey of Earth, Wind and Fire called "Easy lover". It's such a fun song. 😃

Phil recorded this song in the 80s and I instantly fell in love with his version. It is very different than the 60s version and I love them both…so much that I chose Phil’s version to be playing when my daughter walked me through our home to “give me away” to the Love Of My Life in marriage in 2012. 50 years of listening to GROOVY KIND OF LOVE had a specialness for me that I never knew could be possible. I would be so cool if you could play both versions on your program! They are both very different sounding.❤️

This is one of the only motown covers that properly encapsulates motown. He apparently has always just deeply loved motown so it's cool to hear that he kept it so period correct sounding (because let's face it, aside from how great all those songs were motown was also a sound, the way they aesthetically recorded and put it all together) so he nailed the proper sound but still put just enough of a spin on it to pay proper hommage but still make it his own.
A+J your next Phil Collins reaction should 100% be "Something Happened on the Way to Heaven" it's goated.

The genius of Phil Collins is that he has a range of different styles of songs. This one is a great cover song that was a big dance hit back in the early 80's
A brilliant cover of The Supremes' classic, and it really established Phil as a solo artist in the UK in the early 1980s, outside of his career with Genesis. He had already had a big hit with "In The Air Tonight", but this proved he wouldn't just be a one-hit wonder as a solo artist, and was his first solo number 1 at home.
One of my favorite songs ever because of how energetic Phil Collins is and the lyrics to the song. I think this is much better than In The Air Tonight.
He did such a great job on this cover that I almost like it better than the original. It a fun song, 👍👍👍👍

You can never go wrong with Phil, he's been a favorite of ours for many decades. As far as covers go..... I've brought them up before, but another good time. The band is Liliac (Lilly Ack). They are a family band from So. Cal. (3 brothers, 2 sisters) and are phenomenal. To start with you should probably check out Crazy Train (Ozzy), or their epic cover of Enter Sandman (Metallica). Either one will leave you wanting more. They have original music too, but they started with covers, not just covers ,but ..COVERS 😊
Phil played drums in a progressive rock band but loved 50s Motown. Both a blessing and a curse to some Phil fans, especially later in his career.

Phil Collins' "I Don't Care Anymore" has plenty of angst as he wrote it about his first wife as he was going through his divorce from her. The emotion in that song is raw. Speaking of covers, "Land of Confusion" by Genesis was covered by Disturbed. Y'all will be pleasantly surprised! Check it out!

This is, by far, my favorite Phil Collins song. 🎶
One of the reasons he is a "character" is that he was a child actor, featuring in a number of films made by the Children's Film Foundation in the UK. Once a performer, always a performer. Unfortunately, later in life I believe he's got some kind of debilitating disease that makes movement difficult for him.
