- In this video, I take you through my growing jazz collection, which is claiming more and more space. If you've been following me, you know I am relatively new to jazz, and exploring the genre through all the great reissue series of the past few years. This was a lazy day, and I just decided to pull it all out and do an extensive 'show and tell' so to speak. It'a a bit long so please feel free to take a break here and there and return when you can.

Thank you really enjoyed, like you my jazz collection seems to have a life of its own!
Oh I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Something a little different for a change. It was a lot of fun and it reminded me of all the discs i need to delve into more. Thanks for watching and commenting, always.
I appreciate your journey with Jazz. I discovered it when I was locked down in quarantine. I found it really calmed my stresses over Covid and so I began listening and buying BN80, Classics and TPoets with many of the same titles you’ve chosen. Now it’s to find the time to relax and enjoy.
Thanks Doug,
It seems that so many of us are on the same journey. I don't think I've delved so quickly into any musical genre like I have with jazz, and it's all due to these fantastic series coming at us regularly. Fun times for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hi Scott,
Great collection. Gotta love a guy who loves Billie. Keep the vids coming. JK
Hi JK! So glad you checked out this video! Nothing compares to Billie Holiday. Looking to get AP's All Or Nothing At All. That reminds me, I'd better order it now. So many things are out of print! Thanks for checking out the video and commenting. Great to have you here!
I am on a similar journey as you. I am into Rock and other genres, only recently gotten into jazz. It is difficult to find older jazz pressings here in Ireland, so the Tone Poets, Classic series, Blue Note 80 and Acoustic Sounds series has been brilliant to help build my collection. Really enjoying your channel.
Thank you so much David, I'm so glad you found the channel and are enjoying it. That's great that they're easily available where you are. I love that my journey is taking me down this road. So interesting!
I'm in agreement with regards to the Art Blakey (hasn't connected yet with me) - the Sonny Clark My Conceptions I connected with in a big way. You have some great records - ever thinking about selling some of the albums you don't like for new ones? Some of those records you have shot up in price.
Really enjoyed this video, wow…..what an amazing collection you have.
Thank you! I'm so glad you found it interesting! It's really a wonderful journey. I hope to see you back on another video :-)
Great collection and so glad you have Jazz Samba, that record is amazing. I have the AP 2 x 45 release but I must check out the sequel. Great collection
Hi, welcome back! Thanks, and yes Jazz Samba I must have played more than any other jazz record. I've always loved it. Thanks for checking it out!
Enjoyed the video. This is such a good time to be a Jazz vinyl fan with the steady flow of Tone Poet, Classic Series and Analogue Productions / Acoustic Sounds releases. I’ve been able to really build out my Jazz collection the last two years (had no Jazz records a few years ago). I’m a long time music collector but my focus since the 80’s has been rock, classic rock, Jazz Rock Fusion and Heavy Metal. I have to admit, I’m struggling to get into the Mingus releases myself, just not clicking with me. Take care.
Thank you, and great to see you back here. It sounds like we're having a similar journey into jazz. It seems they just come so frequently that with somewhat limited listening time, I'm not getting into depth with every release. But I'm not missing out on these! I'll have plenty of time to explore these over time. Thanks for watching and your comments.
Impressive Collection ! I am also exploring Jazz. One of my favorite albums is Donald Byrd -Byrd in Flight. Check it out
I had my finger on the trigger for that one! I missed it. I loved the opening track. Will hopefully be repressed.
