It's time for our first glimpse of what this year's performances will look like on the Eurovision Song Contest stage! On Wednesday, 15 of the artists performing in the First Semi-Final had their second stage rehearsals and afterwards they chose a 30-second clip to share with Eurovision fans. Is the same exact stage she had on festival da canção she didnt add anything to it other then black and white background stage plus the song itself dosent tell much and the message itself its weak its a very weak song im sorry.
And the dancers still dont fit on the song at all they try to hard to bring emotion to such an emotionless boring song.

I feel that the camera angles are a bit weird for most of the songs, just with Ireland it seems fantastic. Otherwise, my favorites are Ukraine, Serbia, Portugal, Slovenia and of course Croatia (but the camera was drunk there).

Eurovision doesn't get to see such a boundary-breaking, ardent artist every year, so we all should reward Ireland for such a worldclass choice! Wow… honestly so impressed with Ireland, Ukraine, and Portugal. Poland seems fun too. I wish that Slovenias was a bit darker and more immersive in the way that irelands is, perhaps it starts that way. Seeing this makes it clear to me that Moldova is indeed out, as well as Iceland. Outside of them I really am having a hard time picking NQs…. Possibly Azerbaijan (though I love that song) and maybe Cyprus? But honestly I’m really liking the staging and camera cuts for that too. This is such a tough year.

Yes, Slovenia starts very dark, as if she is in the water and later gets lighter and open.. followiing the feeling from desperation to strength and jope..

Two clear standouts here:
Ireland. That clip just traumatised me. And that’s EXACTLY what it needed to be. Write them off from qualifying at your peril, this will stand out perfectly
Portugal. They stand out in the other direction. Minimalist staging but the song tells the whole story. They’ve been my winner since the beginning and this only reaffirmed why

I agree with a friend of mine: if you want the best songs, start low on the odds. A work of art like Portugal, which should be highlighted in the top1, is in the shadow of oblivion! My qualifiers (in rough order I think they'll qualify, so not my personal taste): Ukraine, Finland, Ireland, Croatia, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Poland, Iceland, Portugal, Moldova. Controversial to omit Serbia and I could easily see that qualifying instead of one of my lower-ranked choices. Quite hard to pick the ten qualifiers here beyond the top four or five I would say.
The smooth front camera slide from 7:09 to the Scream of Liberation are my 12 points from this edition and the reason I'm still coming back next year. 🤍🤍🤍

@@escserg6731 I'm pretty sure confusion got them when they transcripted Ukrainian "діва" (spelled "diva") to English instead of properly translating it, incorrectly assuming they have similar meanings. In Ukrainian it actually means "(innocent) girl" or "virgin", "діва Марія" thus directly translates as Virgin Mary. So I guess by "divas" born as human beings they actually meant female saints and benefactors.

I'm following several 30 second recaps of the 2nd SF that have already come out and my entire ranking suffers from an earthquake... Portugal shoots to #1... My top5 sinks, except Ukraine 2nd and Serbia 3rd. Azerbaijan and Moldova complete now the 4th and 5th
This is just beginning because this is one of the weakest semi's in the last years, prepare for tsunamis after the 2nd rehearsal of the big 5 and semi 2.
Portugal seems to have taken its roots on a journey forward in time and brought what will become Eurovision from the year 2666. Absolutely masterful.
