The negative archetype of the witch or pagan Goddess devotee was reinforced by inter alia the publication of books such as the Malleus Malificarum and of course, the edited version of the Bible commissioned by King James of England, who also penned Daemonologie. So although it's true that the witch hunter's power has been greatly diminished, he still has recourse to the internet and other social media through which he still spreads his hate filled lies and untruths about pagans, and woman power, which he hates and fears almost as much as his ugly inner self.
