SamJam - The Guitar Snare
With more than 30 years of cajon construction experience, Schlagwerk set out to develop a “snare drum” that was suitable for guitars but with a sound and aesthetic that would allow it to be integrated perfectly into the world of acoustic guitars.
SamJam® - The Guitar Snare is the perfect groove expansion for your guitar. With SamJam®, you can turn your guitar into a rhythm instrument with a snare sound based on the sound of Schlagwerk’s cajons. SamJam® uses the soundbox from a guitar to allow the snare sound to develop fully.
The SnareBuzzControl Magnet is used to perfectly adapt SamJam® to the range of different guitar bodies and their individual sound and vibration characteristics, and prevent disruptive vibrations. Particular attention was paid to the way it is mounted: SamJam® is attached using an adhesive made from natural raw materials, meaning SamJam® can be removed from the guitar simply and without a trace in seconds.

Das SamJam® - The Guitar Snare ist die perfekte Groove-Ergänzung für Deine Gitarre. Mit dem SamJam® machst Du aus Deiner Gitarre gleichzeitig ein Rhythmusinstrument mit dem am Schlagwerk Cajonsound orientierten Snaresound. Dabei nutzt das SamJam® den Resonanzkörper einer Gitarre um den Snaresound voll zu entfalten.
Um sich der Vielzahl der unterschiedlichen Gitarrenkörper und ihrer individuellen Klang- und Schwingungscharakteristiken optimal anzupassen und störende Vibrationen zu vermeiden wird mit dem SnareBuzzControl-Magnet gearbeitet. Besonderes Augenmerk ist auf die Befestigung gelegt worden: Angebracht wird das SamJam® mit Hilfe eines Haftmaterials, erzeugt aus natürlichen Rohstoffen, mit dem das SamJam® in Sekundenschnelle einfach und rückstandslos wieder von der Gitarre entfernt werden kann.

I can already get a very similar sound by using the sound of my nails landing on the strings as a separate beat before plucking, and it comes through my magnetic pickup, whereas this is for true acoustic.

I just ordered one and i have a question. Will the glue stuff ever wear out and no longer stick?
The "glue" dots keep sticky for a long time. When they are not sticky enough any more there are more new dots included in the SamJam set.
Does the Samjam project the sound by itself or does it need a guitar soundboard for projection?
