Cologne/Berlin for me next month, then Belgrade, Serbia in June and finally a secret holiday in October, my friend has booked it and I have no idea where we're going.

@@CheapHolidayExpert went to Marrakesh on our first secret holiday (though we did find out/guess it was there) and then I took them to Kiev and Chernobyl (super super cheap beer there!!) In Feb for my go at booking it, it's fun!

Well worth a visit, seeing all the hotspots (literally!), Though we didn't see any wildlife, we learnt about it and how nature is taking back the land and the exclusion zone. @chrisc154 on twitter if you wanna know who I booked with etc, if you end up going

The price shown was simply the price on the northbound website at that time!! No idea if they were running a sale but I just put our dates in. We then got a free upgrade on arrival, as sometimes happens at car hire places.
At last, iv been looking forward to this one as always wanted to go but no idea how to do it cheaply. How much are the kebab shops? Are there plenty near the night clubs? Asking for a friend!

Can I ask you something about hiring the car in Iceland ? You include some extra insurance ( platinum for example : damage from grave road , wind , sand ) or it’s not need it ? Because for 10 days for example I could take a price about : 400€ and if i add insurance the cost of getting 200-300€ more ? What do u think ?
If you rent a car during winter season or if you are planning to go off main road (outside National road 1 and golden circle). I strongly recommend you to go for premium insurance.
If things turn south (e.g. your car slid and flipped in ice) you could be paying hefty price for damage
Hey there! Really nice video! I’m planning to go with my girlfriend to Iceland and we are planning to rent a car. Did you guys rented your car from Lava? if yes did you pay for extra insurance? And if not did you have any problems after?
Also how did you manage to get a 60% discount?
We didn’t - we have an annual third party insurance that covers that. We didn’t have any issues when returning. And the prices shown are just the prices that were available at that time!!

Hello! Good question. We've always been asked to provide a credit card when hiring cars (have found this to be the case all over the world!) but do get in touch with the company directly to find out what other options they can offer you.

I had a similar panic to your supermarket checkout experience when filling up with fuel... Stood looking at the number thinking “oh that’s only £80 that’s not to bad, oh wait it’s £800, no don’t be sill it can’t be etc”
Hahahaha exactly the same. I think it really goes to show how shocking our maths skills must be because I knew that 150 kroner was around £1 but when I saw 8000 come up, all sense flew out of my mind!

Well it is cheap if the person is too posh to stay in hostels or to camp.
I'll probably do it for half the price, taking my own vehicle by ferry, sleeping in the above mentioned.
You will need 2+2 extra days for the ferry though

I was a about say, 1100 for 1 week for s camper? Lucky you. We will probably pay almost 3k for 2 weeks, but in summer. So it really depends on the time you will visit iceland.
