- A B-R-A-T, brat! And the Old Squidge sings The Seashell song.
This is the movie debut of the fantastic Jan Duggan as Cleopatra Pepperday. She was spotted by the Great Man himself in a comic revival of The Drunkard - the very play that the troop are to put on in this film. - Komedie
The reference to the child's head being shaped like a Rocky Ford cantaloupe is choice! I used to live in the town of La Junta, CO and Rocky Ford is the next town to the west. I didn't know Rocky Ford cantaloupes had such renown this far back in time!
I've probably watched this clip fifty times and I still laugh myself silly. Thank you so much for sharing it.
He's one of the greatest !😌
Hysterical! Jan Duggan was so underrated
"How can you hurt a watch by dipping it in molasses?"
Love it. Wish I had a time machine....to go back then.
From the brilliant and great WC Fields does all comedy flow.
Jan Duggan was making her film debut at age 53. She's hilarious and hot. I don't think she ever played any big roles in movies. What a shame we didn't see more of her
Reminds me of the Little rascals 🙃👲 1935 Alfalfa sings & them eyes darla sings the love bug song FAV 💗
"Gathering up the shells, Willie..." There was Fields, and all the lesser greats.
" I bet the minute hand won't be a bit of use after this....."
What a marvelous introduction to what I can see was a wonderful film. I can't wait to see the rest of it.
My thanks to Max for sharing this with me!
George
gathering up the shells...ha!!..i'm pissing myself.......
'You pierce my heart!' (then sits on a kitting needle.)
She has a pretty good voice.
Don’t know weather to eat from my coat or the plate 🤣
Jan Duggan is a priceless match for Fields.
I very much recommend watching the next clip in the series to see how this scene ends - it's hilarious.
Loved these scenes since I was a hair to a grasshopper.
Baby LeeRoy, the perfect foil....lol
Bi
This is my favorite W.C. movie.
I bet the kid was dinner after the take....
lol love her singing hahahah
wonderful
B R A T brat!
Only a very good singer can sing that badly.
“All dressed up like a well kept grave”
Fields face when she kicked the table was pricless
I know it's meant to be funny but that song she sang was really sweet and touching. Especially the second verse 🥲
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Willie!
My little rocky mountain canary!
More like a rocky mountain goat.
W C Fields meets the Marx Brothers. I would've liked to see that movie.
"Very good, excellent!"
Typical entertainment for the era. Today we have..... what do we have?
Stephen Smith crap
Gibberish with a beat....
Ha Ha Ha thought it said “Old Fashion 3Way “ Dyslexia is so fun Ha hah
This guy invented comic timing. He makes us believe he's real. And true to form, gets away with it. Five Aces. Only one deck has that. No, a deck has more. This guy did.
There are times in life when a Thompson machine gun would be an absolute necessity. That song would be one of them.
This is how today's singers sound without autotune.
Jan kicks butt
Double time it now!
never trust a man that don’t drink...
Hilarious!
07:50 lol. He was about to give her a belt of his cane.
No I was looking for a tow to the nevermind!
The little boy Albert looks like Wheezer from the Little Rascals.
I think he may have been wheezer.
That was Baby Leroy.
I gotta wonder if the parents of the kid were a... a ... bit nervous or apprehensive about William Claude handling their child.
Where in the world did they find the stunt baby?
Judd Apatow eat your heart out.
LMAO LOLLOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL
I actually think she's got a good voice...
+curlyguy92 me too!
+curlyguy92 Yes, an excellent vo-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-oice indeed!
