    I remember when I hit 10 pushups in a row and my friend told me my form was off... let's say I couldn't even do 1 regular pushup back then. Thanks for this Pierre, perfect form is the best way to ensure you're doing the excercise

    What fixed it for me
    1)lat engage
    2)mind-muscle connection
    3)keeping my forarm 90 degree with the floor(placing my hand according to that)
    4)at the bottomn making sure elbow is behind the body

      Don't keep your forearm 90 degree degree it can cause injury for like a half a year it happened to me until I learned how to do good form

    I've seen many yt videos which say about the same thing... but what sets this push-up tutorial apart from the others is how you indicate it's, "Way harder, feels different, you'll do less reps, but will build more strength."
    I wish this was spelled out on other videos when I learned proper form a few years ago... I always thought I was doing it wrong because it felt weird, was more difficult, and I couldn't do as many reps when I first began doing push-ups correctly. Thx!

    I learned form this way…
    Start with your face on the floor and arms stretched above ur head.
    Then pull your arms back until your elbows are at a 45 degree angle with your side.
    Then as you push up, make sure your arms are just behind your shoulders.
    If you do it correctly your chest should be burning after a set

      Ugh I have no real feeling in my chest because I had a massively invasive surgery (15% fatality rate) and all the nerves to the pecs got cut. I have to go off pure vibes to tell if it's working

    Alr i had the same problem and after some research i did get to know that my form was off and to improbe it i used variations of inclined push ups with good form and as of today i can do 22 pushups i have 65 kg body weight LES GOOOOO

    I just heard this somewhere and im no expert just started the gym seriously like a month ago, but i saw somewhere that your supposed to have your hands slight wider than shoulder width inorder to increase load onto your chest and off your biceps

    I have been experiencing severe pain in my left chest, one month after starting proper form push-ups. It has helped me develop a bigger chest, and I perform five sets of ten reps in the morning and another in the evenings. Can anyone help with the chest pain? I can barely do 10 push-ups a day, and it's not due to a lack of strength; my chest pain just won't allow me.

    I did pushups for most of my teenage years and never really felt the contraction in the muscles I expected to feel it in. Lately though, I mean, in the last 2-3 months, I managed to feel the right muscles working, like really working during the full motion.
    I like how the pushups feel like at the top, when I push the last part purely with my back muscles. Since all this "feels right" happened, my pushups jumped from 12-15 trembling pushups to 25-30 reps. The funny part is that I can do multiple sets of 20 easily now, almost one after the other.
    It doesn't sound like much, I know, but for me it's shocking how suddenly I can do double the pushups I used to. I do think I injured my shoulder pretty bad some time ago, keeping my progress close to nothing, and after a long break I decided to try again, just to be surprised by how easy the reps have become.
    The human body is weird, so I decided I'll listen to what my body says when it asks for a break and even if I feel like I can do more, I'll play it safe from time to time and take those damn rest days. Better slow and steady than going to the hospital and have the doctor telling me I fucked up my shoulder, again.

    The way the first clip does pushups is acrually harder, cause its so many different muscles moving, better when only the chest and arms work

    What about the scapula? I’m really struggling with that because I don’t “feel it” like some videos say to but when I do try to set my shoulders back to engage my scapula it messes up my whole form it’s so annoying
