Agree 💯. I love Anthony's brutal honesty & bluntness, and that he's not just watching BTS bc "it's what everyone is doing". It's awesome he was open-minded enough to give a foreign pop group a chance (considering he's a rapper himself and it's not his normal music genre, plus many guys are afraid to fanboy in public). It shows how much he appreciates & loves his own fandom🥰 I wish I could hug the ARMY who recommended BTS! 💜🥰 Anthony has quickly become one of my top fave reactors.

Wouldn't it be something if they could do THAT Dionysus at a US awards show?? Just smash the stage (figuratively) and leave everyone in awe. My pet peeve is that (new) US audiences only see BTS as this bizarrely popular boy band who only does cute bubblegum pop music... we need them to unleash their Greek god/mafia side on the masses, haha.

@@Nilaratna Yesss!!! We know BTS is very diverse musically, I hope new audiences check out the entirety of their discography and see that they are multitalented!! The english songs are nice but you can really see and feel their passion when they sing in their native language.
@@nuhkyah23 Totally agree. BTS has real substance (hence, fans from age 8 to 88!) There's been a slew of new reactors discovering BTS in the past year alone, so I guess the English-song-as-gateway thing did work. Though there are probably also those who hear the English songs and think that's all BTS is - and that is a crying shame (a real loss for them). But sooner or later, more people will discover the 'complete' BTS, I hope. :p

Artemis is the twin of Apollo so it's perfect for the 95ers lol
The 7 lights make up a star constellation that represents Dionysus' wife. She had a crown with 7 jewels
Some of these gods are arguable but they do fit their themes
Oh and funny fact. When RM slammed the staff (named, Thyrsus) down, he actually missed the ground and sacked himself with the staff. Problems with being tall I guess lol

Oh, the joy and pride I feel whenever I see people getting shocked and lit watching this performance and witnessing them transition into full blown armys. I've seen this performance a lot of times and I'm still not over it. Never will be. The production, the hardwork, the TALENT. BTS is on a whole other level and that's a fact! 🔥💜

BTS are only artist in the 🌎 that can turn award show into a concert performance. I'm 65yr and grew up in the seventies with no regrets about that but I have never liked a boy band till now. BTS is more than a boy band they r special 💜

Exactly! I felt it too, when he was telling that story. Must be a 'symptom' of being Army: the nervous excitement when telling (or trying to tell) someone about BTS, and realizing how much these seven souls mean to us and hoping the other person understands what an absolute phenomenon they are (but also how human and endearing). It feels more meaningful than just liking them as a band, like a connection on a very human but also soulful level - sounds cheesy, but it's real.
@@Nilaratna yes yes 🙌 it is hard to describe because usually people think how can a person form such a connection with people theyve never met but the endearment, love and support goes beyond viewing them as idols who put out good music. Like, we wanna see them thrive just coz we wanna see them happy and smiling (personally i am happiest of all when i see them having the time of their lives). I think that is genuine care and love which most fandoms dont usually have with their artists.

I actually feel blessed to have found them and to GET IT. I think they’re the purest hearts in the industry… we admire them as idols, yet we want to protect them as though they’re our babies. It boggles the mind that all seven are equally endearing and admirable.
I really believe there’s more to all this than meets the eye. These seven decided to come here together to give millions of us a guiding light. And what company did they find each other under? The one whose slogan is ‘music and artists for healing’. It just couldn’t be more fitting, and they’ve done just that from day one. Like they said in DNA: none of this is a coincidence. 💜✨
Mikrokosmos. This is Bang Chan's favourite part of this performance. In fact, this whole perfor.mance inspired Stray Kids so much, that they did an incredible, shout-out tribute, to BTS , by doing a smoking hot , energy fueled, version of Dionysus. Worth every second of watching.

Wow! I’ve never seen such a performance. This is incredible. Each member had their solo showcase part and then the pageantry with the animals, then the finale, like a symphony and an encore. Your eyes can’t take it all in because it’s like a magical fantasy come to life. Oh course Jimin’s dance is beauty, power, and grace, all wrapped together. Just stunning. IDK if anyone has mentioned this, but in the solo performances before Dionysus, the boys each symbolize a god. V is Apollo, god of sun. Jin is Ares, god of war. Jimin is Artemis, goddess of moon.
Suga is Hephaestus, god of fire.
Jungkook is Poseidon, god of water.
J-hope is Zeus, god of thunder.
Namjoon is Dionysus, god of wine. Even in the Dionysus dance break you can see really cool details. The first dancers are J-Hope and Jungkook, Zeus and Poseidon, you can see their battle for control. Then V and Jimin, Apollo and Artemis, mirror each other's movements because they are twin dieties. Lastly, Jin, Suga, and Namjoon (Ares, Hephaestus, Dionysus) are the outcasts of Olympus, hence their fall from the table. The order of the solo performances can be compared to the BU too but I won't dive into that since you haven't gotten through the BU yet.

Jimin's forte - dancing. I haven't checked yet to see if you watched it, but Serendipity written by RM for Jimin and Lie by Jimin have the most passionate dancing and singing. It will blow your socks off. This boy has talents. The other Kpop groups revere them.

2018 BTS MMA “WHO ARE YOU” performance…hands down my favorite performance from them of all time. Hell they are all epic, but this hits me hard. Please watch that one. You will not forget it. BTS set the standard for PHENOMENAL stages. They are amazing.
The "intro" to Dyonisus being 20min and then they ACTUALLY sing it and then the breaking point for everyone being the "Are you ready for this?" XD I LOVE THIS, they went completely out of their minds, Mr Son and the other perf directors... they are insane.
37:03 you can see the light (star) coming down for each member, forming a 7-stars constellation called the ‘Corona Borealis’ also known as the ‘Northern Crown”. Corona Borealis generally represented the crown gifted by Dionysus to his wife princess Ariadne.

The highlight of my 61 years of life loving music, was discovering BTS. This was 37 minutes long, their concerts are usually 2-3 hours long. I was fortunate enough to see Dionysus and Not Today and almost everything else displayed in these 37 minutes live in person at the Rose Bowl in LA. (I would be going to PTD, but a medical issue has stopped me and I had to sell my excellent seats)
I have to say, watching your reaction to this was the single best reaction to BTS and the same reaction I had when I saw on TV in the wee hours of the morning. I hope they take their tour to Europe and you get to see them for yourself. They are amazing and deserve every award and more they receive!

YYYYYYAAAAAAAASSSSSS Anthony.. this is why we were soooo adamant for you to watch this performance.. it is powerfull in every sense of the word. They gave us a run through their beginnings all the way to their PERSONA era. You can see the growth. The dancing on point, the stage on point, every song and set for each on point, visuals on point, talent on point, rap line on point, vocal line on point.. THIS WAS AND STILL IS EVERYTHING..and I'll say this ( and I'm pretty sure everyone will agree on this) this type of performance is what we would love to see for the AMA'S, BBMA's and even the Scammy's but they don't deserve one bit of BTS's artistry.. just my 2 cents that no one asked for 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

This BTS performance on stage was in the year of 2019, in which it was definitely awesome and amazing....this was the best performance I had ever seen before..... BTS Korean Bang is multi talented and their performance on live is super cool, unbelievable and full of energetic performance..... I loved it When you said you usually only listen to rap but now BTS has changed what you listen to somewhat. I on the other hand I’m a grandma Who grew up in the 60s 70s rock ‘n’ roll favorite band queen never care for rap until I decided to see what BTS was all about And now I love their rap, dancing and singing, it’s a big world out there and without great music it would be a miserable world.
