"and I think to myself, what a wonderful aviation video..."
The world of Aviation is just... Beautiful. Thank you for this video!
What I really like about your videos is that when you're talking, you're not just talking to the camera or yourself, it seems like we are sitting next to you in the airplane
Ok, now that you played some Merle Haggard at altitude I would totally fly with you. Keep em coming!
now josh the last part with that song that was a perfect fit. yes its a wonder full world to bad its so polluted with bad people on it, but damn what a wonderful world when seen from up high.
... an absolutely fine production. You are the best aviation content on the 'Net. Kudos from this 69 year old student pilot with 44 hrs in PA28s. Thanks.
I think that "What a Wonderful World" was the most spot on music play on a CZcams video yet. Well done!
loved the video and choice of music. Enjoyed the ride.
I got my licenses in the US (CPL-MULTI-IFR), then came back home. I miss my flying days there and every time I watch your videos I feel absolutely nostalgic.
Navigating around a storm like that is great IFR experience.
Just got my instrument rating the other week. LOVE IT!!! One of my favorite "flight" videos of yours.
Merle and Randy! That's the good stuff right there. You and I would get along great flying!
That Playlist was fire!
youre the only person I can think of who is crazy enough to fly in that especially in a cessna lol
Wow! One of your best videos! Outstanding!
Awesome video! Love how you are always letting your audience know what you are doing. How appropriate was the Louis Armstrong song too!
How could someone dislike this! This is the beauty of flying!!!
I love your passion, Josh. Great video, as always.
That was sublime.
Just when it turned into a beautiful video, you ended it.
Haha, that into cracked me up
Great video and great music, I can't wait to start flying. keep up the great work Josh :)
I like the louis armstrong towards the end of the video
Your solo flights are always awesome to watch and very instructive! Like the way you are commentating every single of your thoughts! Keep going as you always did until now! Great job!
I'm digging your playlist during cruise!
respect for the music selection.
As always , great video.
Great flying!
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing
Another 110% Josh! Always enjoy these! I'm also glad you have your IFR ticket! Always happy flying! Mark in KAWG.
The final 2 minutes of this video are perfect.
Is so beautiful above the clouds!!
That's freaking beautiful!
You my friend have a great taste of music great video as always
The last song combines perfectly with the background
Another nice one! Thanks or sharing!
The technical quality of the video is very good.
Love the video man!
AWESOME JOSH!!! MUY BUENO!!
Great video! I can only imagine how much fun it would be to fly through the clouds like that. I very much enjoyed hearing you state what you're doing and experiencing during this flight and I'd be confident flying with a pilot like yourself. Plus, your dialog really makes this video all the more interesting to watch. Hearing "What a Wonderful World" while flying above those billowy clouds literally gave me goosebumps. Great job! (Those few rude nay-sayers leaving negative comments are probably people who are jealous of your flight-chops, or weren't able to get their IFR certification. My guess would be both.) Thanks for posting this!
nice video, I just got back from NOLA, hearing satchmo bring back great memories, thanks
Owesome flight man .. Congrats
Very good video!to fly is the best thing!
Beautiful.
great video, Josh! thanks for sharing :)
really good videos! keep the good work. Great pilot, blue skies and smooth landing, Rene from Florida.
Great flight, thanks for sharing.
I know it is kind of off topic but do anybody know of a good site to watch newly released series online?
@Casen Anson Thanks, I signed up and it seems like a nice service =) I appreciate it !!
Awesome video yet again bro.
Oh man. Was looking forward to seeing Aero Country. I took sailplane lessons there back in the 80's.
Such a great video
Good ol Randy Travis. Nice flight.
I love your music choices at the end... especially Sachmo!
Great explanation!!
That wind was kicking from the left. Watching as you started your turn, you could see out the rear window how far off to the right you were. I just picked back up flying last year and still won't go up if the winds are 10+ across the runway.
Great job, your videos are getting better each time. I feel like I just flew with ya. :)
I love the rain
Nice video and the narrative is great. While I will initially set my heading bug for the runway heading, I will, upon receipt, immediately change it to ATC's climb out heading so that it is there to remind me what the next step is.
The BEST Kind Of Surfing !!!
beautiful josh nice work bud you are heck of a lot braver than me when it comes to flying and the takeoff you know any time the weather in San Marcos Texas where your life gets bad you can always come up to Iowa city where we will have better weather waiting for you so keep that in mind as always I really enjoyed your video thanks for sharing it with me
wow, just wow
Your video is a great example of how to deal with the tower and ATC...I never had videos like this to watch back when I did my IFR learning...the Stratus must be worth the money since I heard you say oh I see the precip with ADSB...I put together a Stratux box but it is not exactly foolproof yet
I'm kind of amazed at all the people saying bad things about this guy... If you don't know how to fly a plane, don't open your mouth (or touch that keyboard).
Ahhhh!!! Nice taste in music me lad !!
Gorgeous flight. Makes me want to graduate to IFR pretty badly.
This is your best video.
nice video as always :)
Great vid 101. Looks like you are going to make aviation a career. We need good pilots to replace or aging ones. Good luck and keep up the confidence and professionalism you show no mater what it is you fly.
thanks, I hope to start my instrument rating soon
Thanks for your videos. I really enjoy watching them and dreaming of the possibilities. I am 55 and looking at the possibility of an early retirement and if that were to happen no way I could pay for flight school. Maybe someday. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through your videos.
liked some of that good ole country music you had in there
I have picked up a lot of your vocabulary for talking to ATC from watching your videos. Great stuff man.
You look dank in that hat
+MrAviation101 wow, amazing video once again! Your the reason I am starting my pilot lessons as soon as I get to 14 here in the UK!
Yes, it's really fun. I'm 14 in Australia and I have done 7 hours towards my recreational license. It is a really rewarding experience, but really expensive. I have 2 jobs to pay for it! So enjoy it above everything, and feel free to ask any questions, etc.
Hi great video! I do my pre-takeoff check before rolling and much slower, reduces errors. That's just me.
Great video! Also you have great taste in music.
great video
really cool vid!! regards from Chile :D
Song at 13:20 fits the situation perfectly! Love the videos! Keep it up! :)
Boy, do I want to fly now!
Great video! I really need to get my IFR rating!
I think flying IFR is good only if you really need to get some place and the weather does not permit VFR, otherwise VFR is much less stressful and enjoyable if you just want to go for a fly. And yes i know it is good practice to do IFR regularly to remain current.
Currently doing my Multi engine command instrument rating... loving it!
Hi,
I'm not a pilot, but I understand (watching your video) how easy you can get disorientated in the "soup", with no visual reference. I liked the remark you made about the false horizon created by the clouds.
Satchmo sounded just in place on that flight ;)
Love the music
Nice Video please be careful keep posting
Fun!
Love All your videos Josh, thank you for sharing and your sincere humbleness. Re: GoPro - have you considered an external battery pack to extend your record times?
Great video. What about turbulence navigating through those Cumulus clouds? Did it get bumpy? What's your limit regarding turbulence?
*Shaking angry fist* dang it, Nearly flawless video... and of course it ends short and doesn't show the arrival.
Here's what I'm waiting to see on this channel... 1. Take off in IFR conditions, 2. climb out and clear of the conditions (which was pretty much this video), 3. Land into a city at dusk or night using full IFR procedures
That sucks, guess some experiences are left to those that get to experience them. Thanks for the reply!
preflight must have been fun
...I can tell.....you are a very good pilot.
Last time I flew with one of my company's pilots, he told me, he would never fly on single piston engine aircraft where conditions are IMC. You got some balls there and I give that to you. By the way, I am not trying to criticize and be negative here. It was just an observation.
That departure would be a great place to have a failure, look at all the fields.
GRT VIDEO
Hey Josh , great videos. Which go pro’s do you suggest ?I’m refurbing a Mooney and want to capture some of that as well as flight videos.
Great vid and commentary. What ipad yoke mount are you using and does it ever get in the way of reaching controls or block view if pushed forward?
Another lovely video, Josh; thanks so much for uploading. Did you and your Father have your aircraft retrimmed internally when you purchased it (or her)? It looks in super condition. Peter from London
Sit in that right seat, ya slacker! ;) How is your training going for getting your CFI? That shot of just cloud surfing and skimming the tops is what I love about IFR flying... I think it's magic. Hope everything's going well with you!
No, NOT a "cocky" pilot at all. This is a young, enthusiastic pilot, that LOVES flying like the rest of us. He shares his experiences here because countless viewers enjoy and appreciate it. He explains his thoughts and actions, in hope that other new pilots and us older pilots will appreciate his commitment to detail and safety. Most of us appreciate his efforts and realize that we can all learn something from every video. Anyone who can only find something critical to say and thinks they can gain nothing from Josh's videos is the true arrogant and cocky type, that I don't want around me on short final. Plus, here's a thought - If you dislike Josh's videos, get the hell off the channel ! Don't bore the rest of us with your sour attitude, while you spout negative comments.
Now, with that said, great video Josh, love the scenery and ATC as usual. Keep it up !
I don't think he's cocky but those negative comments do strike more discussion which all in all promotes the channel more so increases his income.. My only complaint is at the end of these his narration needs more of a William Conrad sounding voice.. Kinda like the end of The Fugitive.
