There are some things (Like adding Brother to your team) that make blitz a breeze, As long as you get the Jecht shot for Tidus. Just very time consuming playing the minimum 26 games.

@@AntiRiku 26 is the absolute minimum. Wakka overdrive in 3 tournament games. 10 league games for 2nd overdrive. 3 tournament for last overdrive. Then 10 more league games for the sigil. I just did it yesterday 😂

By using clear spheres and getting rid of all stats that aren't +4 as well as all HP and MP spheres, it's possible to reconfigure to the sphere grid so you get all your stats to 255 and your hp to 99999 and mp to 999. Took me 145 hours though. Lots of monster arena and dark aeon farming.
Edit: I made a Mistake by counting the spheres. In the first Section I leave the WRONG Version, to show my mistake. In the Second Section I Show the Corrected Version. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1. Section Thats a Lie! Its mathematically impossible to max out every stat + max out the HP and MP . And i can prove it ;) The standard Spehere Grid has 737 Slots. 85 of them are used by abilitys (and cant be deleted) so u have 652 remaining for Stat maxing. If u want to max out every Stat by having 99.999 HP, 999 MP and 120 Luck u need a total of 837 Slots (334 HP, 25 MP, 64 for each of ATK/DEF/SPD/EVA/ACC/MAG/MAG.DEF.) It simply doesnt fit. U have to choose between 255 in each Stat or max HP/MP. U cant have both! !!!WARNING!!! - Math below: 1. Example) 255 each - 120 Luck - 999 MP - ? HP 64x ATK 64x DEF 64x Speed 64x Evasion 64x Accuracy 64x Magic 64x Magic Defense 25x MP 30x Luck 149 x HP 64*7 + 25 + 30 = 503 652 - 503 = 149 149 * HP +300 = 44.700 HP So in the first example when we max out the Stats and Mana, we only have room for 149x HP +300 Spheres left. @@marctosh705 thank you for asking :) as I was answering ur question I mentioned a mistake in my first comment as i was writing down my used Spheres in my Playthrough with my maxed out Characters. However lets answer ur question :D So If u go for 130 Luck u only need 32--33 Luck Spheres and 126-128 Spheres in Total for Evasion and Accuracy and this doesnt fit in the Grid. (Considering the Spheres for ATK/DEF etc.) As I mentioned earlier the Sphere Grid has 771 Containers remaining for Stat maxing. So the Amount of Speheres u need to max out every Stat by having 130 Luck (1. Example) compared to the 2. Example would increase by at least 90 Spheres. If u get 130 Luck u really need to max out the Evasion and Accuracy Stat because 130 Luck only is not enough for the Dark Aeon "Magus Trio". U simply wont hit them, they step out of the Way when u attack. There is only one Way to max out your Characterstats with 99.999 HP and 999 MP. And the only Way that fit to the Grid is when u push ur Luck above 230. I tested this in my Playthrough through out the last 3 Weeks. I ended up with 63 ATK-Spheres 63 DEF-Spheres 61 Magic-Def-Spheres 61 Magic-Spheres 54 Luck Spheres 63 Speed-Spheres 25 Mana-Spheres 332 HP- Spheres My Characters had good base Stats so I didnt need 64 Spheres to push my stats to 255. In my case I had 49 Containers left which I filled up with Evasion to get the Achievment.
@@ThePjbasketball It’s called Agility, not speed, and you don’t run 255 agility unless you’re not breaking the HP limit. 170 agility is the hasted soft cap. The only benefit past 170 is on the very first turn of combat, assuming no ambush either way. Yuna’s slower Aeons also get a benefit from her being above 170 Agility, as several of them only have about 140 agility like that.
I’ve always just ground the hell out of the inside of Sin until my main save from FOREVER was deleted by a friend. Now I have 2 areas left to complete in the arena and when I get bored I switch my HDMI over on my TV and play Blitzball on the PS2 😂 Thanks for this!
I dont know why this came up on my recommended, cus I Havent played X since the PS2 days. And whilst I have the X/X2 remaster on steam, I think I have only started it once and thought to myself "yeah, time to relive some of those teenage years" but just not getting into it. But hey, for whatever its worth, seems like a lot of work was put into this video, and whilst I havent maxed stats in other ff games than ff7, this is cool :P
I'd recommend keeping your defenses low so that you can abuse the comrade overdrive mode while farming. The more damage they take the more it charges overdrives. This only works with auto-phoenix.
If you’re not going for 99,999 HP, then I strongly recommend running 255 Agility. The benefit at the start of combat is not insignificant and Yuna specifically needs over 210 Agility to bring the Agility of the Magus Sisters above the 170 threshold.
I just did it the old fashioned way on FFX. It seems the monster collecting thing is new in the HD remaster. If it’s not I never did it in the original. Grind, grind and grind some more. To get there quicker is always a good help. I remember everyone knew everything. I loved that!!!

Actually there was two versions already on the PS2 : one with the dark aeons and the monster collecting, but on the Jap' earlier one didn't have it I believe. Maybe that's why you don't remember it ? I'm catching the virus again though , I think i'm gonna have to 100% it once again on remastered version oO

I actually No Sphere Grid'd this game back in the day. You want to talk about an insane challenge - shit was both rage inducing and incredibly rewarding. The only fight I didn't do was Yojimbo and I actually regret it. Trying to work up the gumption to redo the whole thing just for that fight. Doesn't feel like a complete NSG run without it.
I'm using the Standard Sphere Grid. There are 828 nodes total on the grid. 500 of these are pre-filled statistic nodes, 191 are empty nodes waiting to be filled, 60 are Sphere Locks (which you may erase with Key Spheres to become empty nodes), and 77 are ability nodes. (Sourced info from IGN) 828 -77 ability node's = 751 usable node's. **Can't use clear sphere on ability nodes** 751 - 334 HP + 300 417 - 25 MP +40 392 - 63 Strength +4 329 - 63 Defense +4 266 - 63 Magic +4 203 - 63 Magic Defense +4 140 - 43 Agility +4 97 - 56 Luck + 4 I have 41 nodes left to play with. I haven't kept any + 4 from these. So I will use more luck nodes to get 255. 56 isn't enough on its own, my Tidus has like 243 luck. Then fill the other slots for more evasion and accuracy.
If you have Luck That high you don’t Need hit or avasion at all. Bc luck is Hit/Dodge/Crit. So you could Go with 255 luck and get the Rest HP if you wanna Go with a Break HP limed build
In ffx we use a sphere that deletes a sphere and then you can make it a different sphere of your choice. I don't know the sphere name what does it through
whats more efficient between maxing evasion and accuracy or luck? also side note remember that the standard sphere grid has about 50 more nodes than the expert
What I've heard from other sources, Luck has a soft cap of like 130, and when you get to a point where you're 99999 on standard hits in most fights crits become kinda pointless.
@@EmberwindTale you need 230 luck for always crit/hit even under darkness as well as a combination of luck and evasion adding up to 290 in order to dodge the fastest physical attack you can dodge
Most important tip is to play on PC and select the in game option to give yourself all items. That way you've all the spheres without needing to grind ez

Great vid, but cant understand why people bother with the bhpl. Have attempted both methods and believe the armour with Ribbon(stoneproof), auto phoniex, auto haste erc will suffice in most situations. Also you can the max out all the other stats if you wnst to

Even though I like Blitzball...Wakka is hit or miss for me. I always just used summons, whoever I wanted, usually unlocked Anima or Magus Sisters since they have auto damage break. It's a lot faster than getting the unlocks in Bltzball imho.
I am an ace blitzball player, but suck at the other games like the butterflies and chocobo races. That has me tempted to just get Wakka's Celestial weapon and grind like mad to customise the other ultimate weapons.
expert sphere grid is way better if you know what to do. send kimahri (and later rikku) on yuna's path. go to the point where you can learn ice magic and wait there with all 3 chars (Lulu, Kimahri, Yuna) till Luca. put in MP, HP and Magic Shpere so that all 3 chars benefits from. Same goes for Tidus, Auron and Wakka with the Attack Sphere from Blitzball. Then head to Mi'ihen Highroad where you get a Lv. 1 Sphere from a walking dude. From there you are free to level. Yuna and Kimahri can learn steal. Kimahri should have learned slayer (on ship to kilika). Kimahri will be the strongest magic user from Djose till late game because he get's the +20% magic lance. another good thing is that Lulu, Kimahri and Yuna all meet the same point at Djose to profit from another +4 magic shpere. same applies to the other group of 3 with Tidus, Wakka and Auron focusing on Attack and HP.
we are tlaking about min maxing here standart = more nods = better for the rest you'll get all ability on all char anyway so such thing as you mentioned dont matter

I have done all of the stats except luck and HP. I have a few tailor made sets of armor and weapons. I have had no problems grinding those materials. The HP is just a bit time consuming. My catching point is luck. Grinding out Luck Spheres is just insane and I cannot bring myself to do it. After this video though, I might give it another shot.
Getting max stats in ffx is actually pretty insane. It takes weeks for the whole process. Even if you do get all the required items, it still takes SO much time clearing and activating each node. No sane human being would go through with it. There are ways to beat ever enemy spheregridless. Its better to use some of those tactics with decent stats. Takes way less time to grind out the autoabilities for this. If going no spheregrid and no zanmato then there 3 enemies you cant beat. Penance, Shuyin, and as an extension from Shuyin, Nemesis. Eveything else can be defeated No spheregrid no Zanmato.
I take it by the time you reach the end game content your normal progression nodes are already filled out. I’m asking whether I should be using the spheres that I’m collecting in cheats during the main story or if I should just wait until end game. How easy is it to back track to the needed/unused nodes?
You definitely can use those. You won't need to delete the ones you will manually place since it grants a +4 for a stat (+300 for HP). It's going to be really easy to back track later on as can simply defeat an enemy in the Monster Arena to acquire Teleport Sphere or a Return Sphere.

After you get the airship, but your best bet is to get monster hunter weapons with capture and start capturing 4 of each fiends in spira as soon as you get to the calm lands. As youll be rewarded with insane amount of upgrade items for doing so

@@demigod7774 Honestly, I can't go to specifics with regards to stats because I have always grinded first before taking on both Nemesis and the Dark Aeons. Nemesis is kind of in a weird spot because it is stronger than some dark aeons, while it is also weaker to some. One thing for sure is, Nemesis is stronger than Dark Valefor lol.

most likely way too late but you dont have to worry actually the item you recieve will allow you to make 3-4 item for that once those 3-4char are done in stats you can just farm the boss just before the last at the training and get item straight with *3/*3/ov into ap for the other char probably the easiest way out if you dont mind dont the extra char later
Do you need to complete the grid with every character before you get into maxing? I got the grid finished with tidus but that took very long and was very tedious
not at all you dont even need to complete it a single time at all and most likely wont even have half of it on any char just do the capture full first so you spend the rest of time in the cem, do the ultimate weap for your 3 main (rik tid wakka) before as well it'll help a lot once there you can use the xp strat to full it on those 3 char first (easy and help but not a must)
I mean I went for max HP so had to take from other stats. Luckily not every stat needs to be 255, and magic is useless anyway so can be completely emptied if need be. As for MP you dont even need to quick hit against the dark aeons. Dark Yojimbo can be beaten in 45 seconds by just spamming the regular attack button and watching a movie

You don't necesary have to delete the +1 nodes unless you want to optimize your sphere grid. You can buy Clear Spheres from the keeper in Monster Arena after catching 5 of every fiend from all over Spira.
You buy them from the arena calm land arena shop. He starts selling them at 10,000 gold each. I think it's after you capture all 10 of all creatures. He will tell you. I have some new items in stock. Just scroll down to the bottom and bam. Clear spheres
Omega ruins to farm ap before the 👻 monster arena. Make sure to have a weapon with first strike for those pesky Marlboros. I did that for a bit and then just used Anima to kill one eye for days straight til I got triple ap weapons for everyone
use a char with a weapon for first strike => switch to wakka => wakka overdrive as long you made your str up wich usually come first, this strat will allow you to take done most of stats mobs without worry if needed you can double up with yuna prempetive strike into anima overdrive
EDIT: Not sure why I said yes here lol. It's either 99999 HP with not max Accuracy and Evasion, or max Acc. and Evasion but not 99999 HP. It sure is. Just make sure to properly clear the Grid beforehand from those that only provide +200 HP, +20 MP, +3/+2/+1 Str/Mag/etc., and then replace those with +300 HP, +40 MP, and +4 equivalent for the other stats to maximize the available nodes. Since in my case I maxed out the Luck stat, I didn't need to increase both Acc and Evasion at all. I got some extra empty nodes that I filled with HP Spheres, which allowed my characters to reach 99999 HP. Managing this is easier on a normal Sphere Grid as it has more nodes by default compared to the Expert Grid.
I did that and I think I may have screwed up something. Cause trying for full max i could only reach around 74k Hp. Probably gonna need to clear some evasion and accuracy since luck already covers... I will recheck it, but 255 everything including luck, evasion and acc seems to take too much space
@@wagnerfamiliar8112 Since you have already maxed out Luck, I personally suggest deleting Accuracy and Evasion nodes if you are really keen on maxing out HP. Think of luck as the combined version of evasion and accuracy. You can more or less keep those two at lower values since Luck already makes up for them. I believe there's only 1 boss or so that will require you a bit more accuracy stat to consistently land hits, but even so, you can make up for it by casting Aim during battle.
not for no reason, it's just more beautiful to see a window full of 255 it make sense and no it's not when using the standart grid (offering the most nods) and pushing mp and stats to 255 you'll reach 67k5hp / character with what's left considering you can do all fight and never die in those at that lvl (you no longer have to depend on auto phoenix and other) you can just use 1 item to double max hp at fight start like here czcams.com/video/_RrP6elF_4w/video.html that way you can tank more attack before actually healing yourself and ending up using more turn to attack but that's rly min/maxing stuff for like 2-3 fight most where it'll save you time

Thank god getting wakkas weapon was the simpleest and easiest. I dnt know exactly what everyone elses were but the lightning and butterflies were complete bullshit
It's applicable to normal Sphere Grid too. The number indicates how many you need to reach the stat's max value of 255. If you plan on keeping some of the spheres already present in your grid, the number you need to farm may be less. (You can delete spheres later on using a Clear Sphere)
@@KindredCVS I was wondering what about luck, agility and evasion? there seems to be different guides saying different things, with some saying get luck to 85, others 130 or 230. And then agility to 170? I want the easiest and quickest way, as I know farming luck spheres is a pain
@@lavayuki Exactly why I stated only 43 Ability Spheres. 43x4=172. 170 is technically the max for Agility stat. As for luck, it's basically this way: a. If you plan on reaching 230 value with the luck stat, then you can more or less ignore increasing Accuracy and Evasion. No need to max those at all as high luck stat is basically the equivalent of maxing both of those as well. OR b. You can max both Accuracy and Evasion to 255, and have the luck stat at around 130~. Method "b" is faster to do, as it is time consuming to farm Fortune Spheres to activate Luck nodes.

Max MP to 999 at the very least. You'll need that for the Quick Hits which cost 36 MP every time you use it. As for Magic, it's up to you. You might not need it if you rely on Rikku's Mix overdrive for heals. Or if you only plan on having 9999 HP on your characters, you can just use an X-Potion for healing. I have always maxed it out myself since I use Curaga even against the Dark Aeons.
i also remember an article from around the time before the game came out where they were introducing you to the characters in a gaming magazine it had in the article how to phonetically pronounce it because they knew ppl would get it wrong it was in the same magazine that they talked about how MGS2 was being delayed because that had to cut out that part where they show the twin towers shortly after 9/11
@@glory3315 If solely for levelling, then just refer to the part of the video where you need to battle Don Tonberry. It would require specific weapon abilities though. If you would like to add more spheres into the sphere grid to further increase their overall stats, then refer to the sections that mention strength sphere / magic sphere / agility sphere / etc. Take note that farming would require grinding as well as these fiends are strong.
Sorry but using anima with haste, protect, regen. Is a much safer way to defeat the bosses for hp spheres and all the other spheres. Juggernaut use normal attacks and iron use pain attacks
@@kazumi1315 late but i mean usually i go Kimahri holy path, then teleport yuna there. with Yuna's high magic she doesn't have a good offensive spell, until holy. once i got to that point yuna Holy does 9999 only takes like a few turns to decimate all enemy's besides some in the omega ruins, also her weapon s the easiest to max so she breaks limit dmg real fast
You can find some Tipps about it on CZcams. Like Dodge Birds is more Important then Balloons or in the First Part (After the ramp) it’s better to Dodge From left to right in the secound Part it’s better to Dodge From Right to left. But it’s just a Time thing somehow i made it too 😂 But omg so annoying this Mini Game
just accept you'll loose the race if you get a bad starter set up not to get mad over it, focus on the good one this alone should help haha ^^ for the rest there are quite some vid out there one habit you can take is to count the bal, as soon you reach 13 you just focus on avoiding bird/dont take risk for more
ive platinumed around 30 games or so and ffx is by far the grindiest of them all and blitzball still haunts my dreams

The standard Spehere Grid has 856 Slots. 85 of them are used by abilitys (and cant be deleted) so u have 771 remaining for Stat maxing.
If u want to max out every Stat by having 99.999 HP, 999 MP and 120 Luck u need a total of 837 Slots (334 HP, 25 MP, 30 Luck, 64 for each of ATK/DEF/SPD/EVA/ACC/MAG/MAG.DEF.)
It simply doesnt fit.
U have to choose between 255 in each Stat or max HP/MP. U cant have both!

255 each - 120 Luck - 999 MP - ? HP
64x ATK

64*7 + 25 + 30 = 503
771 - 503 = 268
268 * HP +300 = 80.400 HP
So in the first example when we max out the Stats and Mana, we only have room for 268x HP +300 Spheres left.
Even when we consider the Base Stats of each Character the amount of Spheres used to Stat maxing reduces only by 7-21 in total. 63-61 instead of 64.
The only way to "max out" ur Character is to increase ur Luck above 230 as seen in the 2. Example

@@marctosh705 thank you for asking :) as I was answering ur question I mentioned a mistake in my first comment as i was writing down my used Spheres in my Playthrough with my maxed out Characters.
However lets answer ur question :D
So If u go for 130 Luck u only need 32--33 Luck Spheres and 126-128 Spheres in Total for Evasion and Accuracy and this doesnt fit in the Grid. (Considering the Spheres for ATK/DEF etc.)
As I mentioned earlier the Sphere Grid has 771 Containers remaining for Stat maxing. So the Amount of Speheres u need to max out every Stat by having 130 Luck (1. Example) compared to the 2. Example would increase by at least 90 Spheres.
If u get 130 Luck u really need to max out the Evasion and Accuracy Stat because 130 Luck only is not enough for the Dark Aeon "Magus Trio". U simply wont hit them, they step out of the Way when u attack.
There is only one Way to max out your Characterstats with 99.999 HP and 999 MP. And the only Way that fit to the Grid is when u push ur Luck above 230.
I tested this in my Playthrough through out the last 3 Weeks.
I ended up with
63 ATK-Spheres
63 DEF-Spheres
61 Magic-Def-Spheres
61 Magic-Spheres
54 Luck Spheres
63 Speed-Spheres
25 Mana-Spheres
332 HP- Spheres
My Characters had good base Stats so I didnt need 64 Spheres to push my stats to 255.
In my case I had 49 Containers left which I filled up with Evasion to get the Achievment.
@@ThePjbasketball It’s called Agility, not speed, and you don’t run 255 agility unless you’re not breaking the HP limit.
170 agility is the hasted soft cap. The only benefit past 170 is on the very first turn of combat, assuming no ambush either way.
Yuna’s slower Aeons also get a benefit from her being above 170 Agility, as several of them only have about 140 agility like that.

For Don Tonberry farming, it's real handy to throw auto phoenix on some armor, saves a decent amount of time. As does auto haste on your attacker.

I dont know why this came up on my recommended, cus I Havent played X since the PS2 days. And whilst I have the X/X2 remaster on steam, I think I have only started it once and thought to myself "yeah, time to relive some of those teenage years" but just not getting into it. But hey, for whatever its worth, seems like a lot of work was put into this video, and whilst I havent maxed stats in other ff games than ff7, this is cool :P
I'd recommend keeping your defenses low so that you can abuse the comrade overdrive mode while farming. The more damage they take the more it charges overdrives. This only works with auto-phoenix.

If you’re not going for 99,999 HP, then I strongly recommend running 255 Agility.
The benefit at the start of combat is not insignificant and Yuna specifically needs over 210 Agility to bring the Agility of the Magus Sisters above the 170 threshold.
I just did it the old fashioned way on FFX. It seems the monster collecting thing is new in the HD remaster. If it’s not I never did it in the original. Grind, grind and grind some more. To get there quicker is always a good help. I remember everyone knew everything. I loved that!!!
It was always part of ffx it’s how you got the Magus Sisters Aeon.

Actually there was two versions already on the PS2 : one with the dark aeons and the monster collecting, but on the Jap' earlier one didn't have it I believe. Maybe that's why you don't remember it ?

This is so weird i just started a new game and named the first aeon you get "kindred." Then i go looking for skill tree guides and yours is the first i tapped
I actually No Sphere Grid'd this game back in the day. You want to talk about an insane challenge - shit was both rage inducing and incredibly rewarding. The only fight I didn't do was Yojimbo and I actually regret it. Trying to work up the gumption to redo the whole thing just for that fight. Doesn't feel like a complete NSG run without it.

I'm using the Standard Sphere Grid.
There are 828 nodes total on the grid. 500 of these are pre-filled statistic nodes, 191 are empty nodes waiting to be filled, 60 are Sphere Locks (which you may erase with Key Spheres to become empty nodes), and 77 are ability nodes. (Sourced info from IGN)
828 -77 ability node's = 751 usable node's. **Can't use clear sphere on ability nodes**
751 - 334 HP + 300
417 - 25 MP +40
392 - 63 Strength +4
329 - 63 Defense +4
266 - 63 Magic +4
203 - 63 Magic Defense +4
140 - 43 Agility +4
97 - 56 Luck + 4
I have 41 nodes left to play with. I haven't kept any + 4 from these.
So I will use more luck nodes to get 255. 56 isn't enough on its own, my Tidus has like 243 luck.
Then fill the other slots for more evasion and accuracy.
If you have Luck That high you don’t Need hit or avasion at all. Bc luck is Hit/Dodge/Crit. So you could Go with 255 luck and get the Rest HP if you wanna Go with a Break HP limed build
In ffx we use a sphere that deletes a sphere and then you can make it a different sphere of your choice. I don't know the sphere name what does it through

What I've heard from other sources, Luck has a soft cap of like 130, and when you get to a point where you're 99999 on standard hits in most fights crits become kinda pointless.

Most important tip is to play on PC and select the in game option to give yourself all items. That way you've all the spheres without needing to grind ez

Great vid, but cant understand why people bother with the bhpl. Have attempted both methods and believe the armour with Ribbon(stoneproof), auto phoniex, auto haste erc will suffice in most situations. Also you can the max out all the other stats if you wnst to

Even though I like Blitzball...Wakka is hit or miss for me. I always just used summons, whoever I wanted, usually unlocked Anima or Magus Sisters since they have auto damage break. It's a lot faster than getting the unlocks in Bltzball imho.
I am an ace blitzball player, but suck at the other games like the butterflies and chocobo races. That has me tempted to just get Wakka's Celestial weapon and grind like mad to customise the other ultimate weapons.
expert sphere grid is way better if you know what to do. send kimahri (and later rikku) on yuna's path. go to the point where you can learn ice magic and wait there with all 3 chars (Lulu, Kimahri, Yuna) till Luca. put in MP, HP and Magic Shpere so that all 3 chars benefits from. Same goes for Tidus, Auron and Wakka with the Attack Sphere from Blitzball. Then head to Mi'ihen Highroad where you get a Lv. 1 Sphere from a walking dude. From there you are free to level. Yuna and Kimahri can learn steal. Kimahri should have learned slayer (on ship to kilika). Kimahri will be the strongest magic user from Djose till late game because he get's the +20% magic lance. another good thing is that Lulu, Kimahri and Yuna all meet the same point at Djose to profit from another +4 magic shpere. same applies to the other group of 3 with Tidus, Wakka and Auron focusing on Attack and HP.

The expert grid literally has less nodes. There’s zero argument for it, if you’re stat maxing you DO NOT go with the expert grid.

I have done all of the stats except luck and HP. I have a few tailor made sets of armor and weapons. I have had no problems grinding those materials. The HP is just a bit time consuming. My catching point is luck. Grinding out Luck Spheres is just insane and I cannot bring myself to do it. After this video though, I might give it another shot.

Expert, due to it having less nodes.
Getting max stats in ffx is actually pretty insane. It takes weeks for the whole process. Even if you do get all the required items, it still takes SO much time clearing and activating each node. No sane human being would go through with it. There are ways to beat ever enemy spheregridless. Its better to use some of those tactics with decent stats. Takes way less time to grind out the autoabilities for this. If going no spheregrid and no zanmato then there 3 enemies you cant beat. Penance, Shuyin, and as an extension from Shuyin, Nemesis. Eveything else can be defeated No spheregrid no Zanmato.
I take it by the time you reach the end game content your normal progression nodes are already filled out. I’m asking whether I should be using the spheres that I’m collecting in cheats during the main story or if I should just wait until end game. How easy is it to back track to the needed/unused nodes?
You definitely can use those. You won't need to delete the ones you will manually place since it grants a +4 for a stat (+300 for HP). It's going to be really easy to back track later on as can simply defeat an enemy in the Monster Arena to acquire Teleport Sphere or a Return Sphere.
OK CZcams is getting a little too good. I was playing Final Fantasy 10 today and I was thinking to myself. I wonder what the best way is to level up. In this video was in my list of suggestions.
At which point in the story should I start trying all this? I just arrived at Kilika lol. I did a little bit of leveling on the boat with sinscales, but I have no idea what to do with all my sphere levels for everyone right now.
These are endgame stuff.
After you get the airship, but your best bet is to get monster hunter weapons with capture and start capturing 4 of each fiends in spira as soon as you get to the calm lands. As youll be rewarded with insane amount of upgrade items for doing so
just wait until the airship all the bosses between calm lands and airship can be beaten relatively easily with abusing aeon overdrives

Double Overdrive is enough. It is more time consuming gathering Winning Formulas.

@@demigod7774 Honestly, I can't go to specifics with regards to stats because I have always grinded first before taking on both Nemesis and the Dark Aeons.
Nemesis is kind of in a weird spot because it is stronger than some dark aeons, while it is also weaker to some. One thing for sure is, Nemesis is stronger than Dark Valefor lol.

the item you recieve will allow you to make 3-4 item for that
once those 3-4char are done in stats you can just farm the boss just before the last at the training and get item straight with *3/*3/ov into ap for the other char
probably the easiest way out if you dont mind dont the extra char later
Do you need to complete the grid with every character before you get into maxing? I got the grid finished with tidus but that took very long and was very tedious
not at all
you dont even need to complete it a single time at all and most likely wont even have half of it on any char
just do the capture full first so you spend the rest of time in the cem, do the ultimate weap for your 3 main (rik tid wakka) before as well it'll help a lot
once there you can use the xp strat to full it on those 3 char first (easy and help but not a must)
I mean I went for max HP so had to take from other stats. Luckily not every stat needs to be 255, and magic is useless anyway so can be completely emptied if need be. As for MP you dont even need to quick hit against the dark aeons. Dark Yojimbo can be beaten in 45 seconds by just spamming the regular attack button and watching a movie

You don't necesary have to delete the +1 nodes unless you want to optimize your sphere grid.
You can buy Clear Spheres from the keeper in Monster Arena after catching 5 of every fiend from all over Spira.
You buy them from the arena calm land arena shop. He starts selling them at 10,000 gold each. I think it's after you capture all 10 of all creatures. He will tell you. I have some new items in stock. Just scroll down to the bottom and bam. Clear spheres

Omega ruins to farm ap before the 👻 monster arena. Make sure to have a weapon with first strike for those pesky Marlboros. I did that for a bit and then just used Anima to kill one eye for days straight til I got triple ap weapons for everyone
Just like what Freeq said, Omega Ruins. But if the monsters there still feel tough for you, then you can farm in Inside Sin in the meantime.
use a char with a weapon for first strike => switch to wakka => wakka overdrive
as long you made your str up wich usually come first, this strat will allow you to take done most of stats mobs without worry
if needed you can double up with yuna prempetive strike into anima overdrive
Question: is full 255 99999hp 999mp possible? I know you don't need 255 acc, evasion and luck, but want the full max for no reason
EDIT: Not sure why I said yes here lol. It's either 99999 HP with not max Accuracy and Evasion, or max Acc. and Evasion but not 99999 HP.
It sure is. Just make sure to properly clear the Grid beforehand from those that only provide +200 HP, +20 MP, +3/+2/+1 Str/Mag/etc., and then replace those with +300 HP, +40 MP, and +4 equivalent for the other stats to maximize the available nodes.
Since in my case I maxed out the Luck stat, I didn't need to increase both Acc and Evasion at all. I got some extra empty nodes that I filled with HP Spheres, which allowed my characters to reach 99999 HP.
Managing this is easier on a normal Sphere Grid as it has more nodes by default compared to the Expert Grid.
I did that and I think I may have screwed up something. Cause trying for full max i could only reach around 74k Hp. Probably gonna need to clear some evasion and accuracy since luck already covers... I will recheck it, but 255 everything including luck, evasion and acc seems to take too much space
@@wagnerfamiliar8112 Since you have already maxed out Luck, I personally suggest deleting Accuracy and Evasion nodes if you are really keen on maxing out HP.
Think of luck as the combined version of evasion and accuracy. You can more or less keep those two at lower values since Luck already makes up for them.
I believe there's only 1 boss or so that will require you a bit more accuracy stat to consistently land hits, but even so, you can make up for it by casting Aim during battle.

that way you can tank more attack before actually healing yourself and ending up using more turn to attack but that's rly min/maxing stuff for like 2-3 fight most where it'll save you time
love the guide, but is 9999hp, 999mp, and 9999dmg viable to fight penance? I'd like to make the challenge challenging and really, really, earn the trophy.
Should be possible as others have attempted it with 9999 HP, but expect the fight to take really long if you want to cap your damage to 9999.
It’s a 10 hour fight without break damage limit. Bad idea, but good luck I guess.

For most normal encounters, yes. But for secret bosses, nope as they have huge amounts of HP.

Are the sphere quantities at 0:34 applicable to the expert sphere grid?
It's applicable to normal Sphere Grid too. The number indicates how many you need to reach the stat's max value of 255. If you plan on keeping some of the spheres already present in your grid, the number you need to farm may be less. (You can delete spheres later on using a Clear Sphere)

@@lavayuki Exactly why I stated only 43 Ability Spheres. 43x4=172. 170 is technically the max for Agility stat.
As for luck, it's basically this way:
a. If you plan on reaching 230 value with the luck stat, then you can more or less ignore increasing Accuracy and Evasion. No need to max those at all as high luck stat is basically the equivalent of maxing both of those as well.
OR
b. You can max both Accuracy and Evasion to 255, and have the luck stat at around 130~.
Method "b" is faster to do, as it is time consuming to farm Fortune Spheres to activate Luck nodes.

Max MP to 999 at the very least. You'll need that for the Quick Hits which cost 36 MP every time you use it.
As for Magic, it's up to you. You might not need it if you rely on Rikku's Mix overdrive for heals. Or if you only plan on having 9999 HP on your characters, you can just use an X-Potion for healing.
I have always maxed it out myself since I use Curaga even against the Dark Aeons.

If you would like to add more spheres into the sphere grid to further increase their overall stats, then refer to the sections that mention strength sphere / magic sphere / agility sphere / etc. Take note that farming would require grinding as well as these fiends are strong.
Sorry but using anima with haste, protect, regen. Is a much safer way to defeat the bosses for hp spheres and all the other spheres. Juggernaut use normal attacks and iron use pain attacks
To each their own. If you feel it's faster then by all means, go with your method.

@@kazumi1315 late but i mean usually i go Kimahri holy path, then teleport yuna there. with Yuna's high magic she doesn't have a good offensive spell, until holy. once i got to that point yuna Holy does 9999 only takes like a few turns to decimate all enemy's besides some in the omega ruins, also her weapon s the easiest to max so she breaks limit dmg real fast
