I am on Ava's side, it's obvious even if she was around there she wasn't aware it was broken and it could be one of the friends, it could even be Jersey.....hush Ava.
I personally think it was the friend. Not a great place for the trash can, especially if you don't know it's a light there. Too easy for the can to accidentally hit it. I'm with Ava on this one. She knew it had just been fixed so she intentionally made sure not to hit it. Oh well. Parents don't always get it right. Life goes on.

It's not fair to blame Ava because you don't know for sure and it's not on the camera. The camera did show a lot of the kids over by the light, either one of them could have done it.

no one was blaming Ava, they just wanted to show her that she COULD have been one of the kids that could've broken the light even if she wasnt aware of it. They wanted to teach her that its ok to admit she couldve been one of the ones to break it and to realize that instead of getting so deffensive

I have been watching your family's videos for years. However this matter shouldn't have been aired. Once the kids got emotionly upset the camera needed to be turned off and then the situation could be handled as a family matter in private .

I believe they were not aware that it was broken in a lying position. Someone knocked it over by mistake and could not remember. The kids seem to be candid and not afraid to admit mistakes. I could have knocked it over not aware it was broken

clearly it's an issue... however the interrogation WITH camera can feel accusatory.... and BOTH guilty AND innocent want to defend themselves in such cases. it is a NATURAL response to feelings of shame or getting in trouble.
