If you buy sandwiches at supermarkets, they could be about Rp.15.000 or $1. But if you buy sandwiches at street vendors, you could probably get a cheaper one, depending on the toppings. Some street vendors would sometimes trick you into paying more, but some other might even give you free stuff just because you are a foreigner lol. Indonesian loves foreigner.

For 350 years (3.5 centuries) Indonesia was colonized by the Dutch and our people were tortured.. forced to work and plantation products were brought to the Netherlands. Indonesia is a fertile land and rich in spices, oil and mineral. Starting with the arrival of VOC ships to Banda Island for trade purposes, then establishing a monopoly and finally the Dutch kingdom intervened in VOC and colonized Indonesia. Queen Wilhelmina was a Dutch queen who was unwilling to let Indonesia become independent. In the Amsterdam museum there is a golden train where on the golden train there are pictures depicting Indonesian people and in the museum there are also many historical objects from Indonesia.
20% of Dutch words are in Bahasa Indonesia, such as kantor, handuk, wastafel, asbak, knalpot, kulkas, apotik, makelar, pabrik, engsel, baskom, kopling, nanas etc. Similar foods include kroket, klappertart, spikoe etc.

90% of the earthquakes are like vibrations from a bus passing down the street, and they mostly occur in seabed (70%+ of the area is water). Even if its inland, it might happen at a place that wont be felt after a few km away.
If it was to scale, u being in netherlands wont feel earthquakes happening in the middle east (yes indonesia is that huge)
Edit: some words that are still used in Indonesia are stuff like Spoor, Brandweer, Kerckhoff etc. Tho mostly only people above 50 knew the meaning

the earthquakes thing is somewhat correct yet incorrect at the same time,
you see Indonesia is quite huge, so if an earthquake occurs in certain area
the people who live in another area may not notice at all. basically if you live in Indonesia
you probably will experience about 2 or 3 earthquakes within a year, but again since
mother nature can't be predict, we can't say for sure.

Just in case you guys misunderstood about that "4 earthquakes a day" thing. I'm telling you, those earthquakes are just some small scale richter which happens under the ground and mostly we can't feel them.
When it becomes stronger, then that's what we call natural disaster and, thank God, it's rarely happens here.
    Just saying :)
Also, we have BMKG (Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency) who monitors the activity of volcanoes around this country for 24/7. So whenever a volcano's about to erupt, there'll be some warning to not go anywhere near it.

They also claim the origin of Jung Jawa Ship & Phinisi Ship. Even Indonesia basic language originaly from Riau Island, but its not original anymore because of many change. Theres standard bahasa Indonesia that we learn in school, i'll says there significan different now about 35% - 40% from riau language. So every ciitizen will always understandable if they speak bahasa Indonesia we learn in scool. abou nasi goreng, a bit different from chinese because Indonesia nasi goreng alway use thick sweet soy sauce, we used to called ketcap manis,

As an Indonesian, let me tell you this. There are no regions that are completely safe from earthquakes, as far as I'm aware of. No matter where you are in Indonesia, you'd experience earthquakes at least once in your entire lifetime. Sure, the earthquakes can get big sometimes (last incident happened on Saturday night), but sometimes they're just short. Last incident happened on Saturday (27th April) but since it was short, despite it being around 6.1 SR, everyone, even near the epicentre, was alright, so you don't have to worry that much about earthquakes
