    The US military alone dwarfs Russia's military and you're talking all of NATO with 30 members. Putin invaded Ukraine to stop NATO expansion and Ukraine wasn't even going to join NATO and neither were Sweden and Finland until he invaded Ukraine. LOL. Hey Vlad, say hello to your newest NATO members/neighbors, Sweden and Finland.

      Exactly, even without the US they would be fighting the combined armed forces of the other 29 nations
      And at the top of that pile are several of the world's strongest armed forces and three all been practising how to fight as one for _decades_
      The technological and training overmatch enjoyed by those top nations (let's choose UK, France, Germany, Italy and Poland) is enormous
      Remember Desert Storm?
      Their tanks and aircraft would be exploding and they wouldn't even have known we were there.
      There are only 3 navies in the world that have true global power projection blue water navies and they're all in NATO (UK, France and the US)
      We have the only supercarriers outside the US, the only nuclear carrier outside the US and the Italian Carvour although smaller carriers 10 F-35Bs
      We have the most advanced tanks outside of the USA, the aircraft, the armaments, second only to the USA
      Our advanced weapons systems, missiles and bombs, I would argue _are_ the very best in the world.
      And all backed up by enormous populations and buckets of cash to throw at a war when we have to
      War with Russia would look like trees being fed into a wood chipper

    Russian numbers, such as the amounts of main battle tanks, are hugely overestimated. They look great on paper, but in reality, it turns out that three quarters of those 12 thousand tanks are inoperable junk from storages. Not to mention the lack of skilled crews.

    • @LawL_LawL
      @LawL_LawL Před 2 lety +27

      You have no clue what you're talking about.
      "Inoperable junk" is a vast overstatement. Russia has been selling off and shipping out obsolete but perfectly functional T-55s, T-62s, and T-72s to Syria, Iraq, and many countries in Africa within the last 10 years. Their stocks of T-90, T-80, and T-72 are by most defense analysts perfectly operable, some with a requirement for refurbishment or upgrade packages, particularly the ones from the 80s and 90s, but that is already standard when taking tanks out of storage depots, even the tanks they end up selling usually get some degree of upgrading, barely minimum being some ERA and FCS upgrades.
      For comparison the US has something like 4000 Abrams in storage, mostly M1A1 and some M1A2. M1A1 is from the mid-80s, so about as old if not older than a lot of the Russian tanks in storage. For any of these to enter American service, or even be sold off to allies, they would likely be upgraded to SEPv3 standard at least, for US service, if not the upcoming SEPv4, and for overseas export a standard similar to M1A2S sold to the Saudis, or M1A2-K sold to Kuwait.
      Crews are another issue entirely. Russian conscription leaves much to be desired but it is not exactly difficult to train crews to some modest level of performance. Tanks are not nearly as complicated nor difficult to use as planes, and even in NATO service tanker positions like driver and loader are trained within weeks, gunners take longer and tank commanders typically as long as a year.

    • @colinratcliff5572
      @colinratcliff5572 Před 2 lety +13

      Russian equipment isn't necessarily garbage. Most of their tanks may be old, but function perfectly fine. Their crews and tactics are garbage. The equipment being sent to Ukraine by the allies is doing exactly what it was designed to do. You think a javelin wouldn't smoke an M1A2 or a Leopard?

      But where is the problem? The NATO was founded in 1949 because of Communism on Russian side. Russia controlled East-Germany after WW2 and Stalin could wanted to install the Sovietcommunism there, to prevent another charge of European countries on the Soviet-Union. And this is also the beginning of Cold-War. And don't forget that many NATO partners are very small like Baltic-States, Denmark, Netherland, Belgium, Greece, Montenegro and it also depends on the amount of money the government spends on its military.

    • @igyboo
      @igyboo Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@ketrab5154 the thing is that there was no real treaty before Nato, WEU or Treaty of Brussels. The attack on poland officially started WW2 as invasion of poland was an ultimatum (no invasion or full on war) given to Nazi Germany. Now there are alliances that are used to protect europe from aggression. And I do believe that if an attack happens Nato coalition will form defensive/offensive countermeasures. Most of these numbers are many times larger than the Russians, which is exactly why the Russians fear NATO. We have been brainwashed for years thinking the Russians were ten feet tall; however, they cannot beat little Ukraine on their own, so I'd say they are only a foot tall. One item not shown on the video, which is the most powerful weapon of all is the shear professionalism of the western forces. Highly trained, with the high tech gear they should be able to handle Russia without breaking much of a swet. Given that the Ukraine soldiers are using mostly western weapons tells the story. With small western weapons system the Russians are being held, or defeated. If the Ukrainians had the full power of NATO systems, then this war would be done by now.

    What is the point of that video? Russia cannot conquer a single country that was devastated by previous war, uses mostly their own equipment (Russian, which apparently they can`t counter) and has limited if none air power. Tactics used by Russia appear to be medieval and their "state of the art" (as said by Putin himself a few days ago) equipment made Ukrainian farmers billionaires from scrap. I also wonder if those personnel numbers are pre-war as well, because they've got no less than 15-20,000 KIA at this point and 2-3x that wounded so total losses have to be well past 50,000 now.By May 9th their KIA count might actually exceed US KIA's in the Korean War (Which would put the Ruso-Ukrainian War in the Top 5 Most KIAs on the US list, behind only the World Wars, the Civil War, and Vietnam).

If there is a direct clash between Russia and NATO, I think China and India, and other countries dissatisfied with the United States, will take part against the West. After all, they understand that if Russia loses, they will be next, and already in that ratio the chances will be less than before. So, your statistics don't give the real picture. and these are completely different figures and no longer in the direction of the west.
