$500 Mini Chopper / Trike Build Part 5
The is part 5 of our $500 budget Mini Chopper build. This week we take the chopper in a new direction and add one more wheel. In an attempt to make the project more of a one-off build, I ordered a 28” live axle kit for a 100cc three wheeler and get it fitted to the chopper. I make a few templates from cardboard and cut them out of ¼” plate steel. The templates work great and with a little griding I get the mounting plate fabricated and welded in without any major issues. Enjoy the video and I hope you have a great week. Hi Mike, I really like what you have done!! 😃. I am building my own now but with lawn mower tyres. Big ones! 😁 There is one thing I noticed while moving it around (and i'm not sure using the right word) the tyres 'wrench' by slightly turning left or right. Did yours to? Can i fix this? My rear axel is more to the front than yours. Do that makes a difference? And my front wheel is smaller.... Maybe a bigger one? Kindly regards from the Netherlands. Gerda
