Senjumaru’s Bankai is literally a loom of fate, even if they don’t die in that tapestry, she basically wove their fates for what’s to come. Death is death, and no matter how you slice it, this does kill them. It’s a fascinating ability for sure.
I think Uyru will be the one to save the schuttelsztel if not then Yhwach or even scarier both since both of them have similar shcrifts

And it re-enforces the idea of what Shinigami are, *Death* gods
I think it's a bit different, as she should have at that time killed Uryu and could have done it. I think it's more of her power taps into fate and uses their fates as attacks in hopes of killing them by fulfilling the requirements of their fated deaths. This would explain why Uryu isn't killed, as while he is the weakest of them all (don't deny it) he is still ultimately their ally in the fight to come. He isn't fated to be killed by them, but fated to be the one who gives them the one chance they have to win.
This is my interpretation of Senjumaru's Bankai:
FIRST, (1) It shows what specific action/event they did in the past and will do in the future that will lead to their eventual death/demise. And then, (2) it foresees how each Schutzstaffel best effectively dies or is weakened in the future. A complete foresight of each Schutzstaffel's fates based on the best possible outcomes in the future and based from their past and future actions (Something that Ywhach, despite his Almighty's ability to foresee every possible Future Outcome, is unable to change which will lead him to use Auswählen anyway.)
SECOND, her Bankai predetermines the best time/event for each Schutzstaffel's death/demise, something that seems to assign the events in the best possible time along with the best match-ups to come against the Captain-level Shinigamis they're going to face. (Still going with the idea as Senjumaru being the Great Weaver, weaving everyone's fates in her favor.)
AND LASTLY, Senjumaru ensures that their fates are sealed and that whatever foresight generated and 'tapestries'/'hanks' she already weaved cannot be reversed or changed in the future. (This I think fixes the reason why Overpowered Schutzstaffels will lose to Captain Rank Shinigamis, even with Ywhach's influence). This also makes sure that when the Schutzstaffel loses in cour 3, it won't seem like it's Plot armor and instead would look like an omnipotent force of ensured Fate as weaved by Senjumaru (sticking to the idea that the Squad Zero is indeed capable of this feat).
So it's just her 1. Designing the fates and pulling the suitable threads to use. 2. Weaving everyone's threads of fates together to her liking. and 3. Her cutting the thread and finalizing the hanks/cloths of interweaved fates.
Which means that even if she won't kill the Schutzstaffel now, doesn't mean she didn't influence the outcome of their future.
In relation to the Cour 3 Trailer with Uryu being her final opponent, (and assuming I guessed Senjumaru's Bankai correctly) it could be that he activates Antithesis to reverse the effects of her Bankai and turn it against her, weaving her most fitting death at the most fitting time while sealing it permanently. This should turn the tides and be a great plot progression as to how Senjumaru/Squad Zero is defeated by Uryu and then, simultaneously during Ichibe's and Ywhach's battle, Ywhach awakens the Almighty and revives the defeated Schutzstaffels. (Yeah call me crazy with all these speculations 😂)
But you know, it's just my interpretation. I'm just excited to watch what will happen to Cour 3. Who knows, she might explain her Bankai too just like the other Captains. 😅

Yea this is pretty much in line with my own train of thought. Specifically the "even if you escape the tapestry, it's already woven into your fate and will happen in the future anyway".
Which is truly an ability that's on a level worthy of being a forbidden bankai.
Since ichibe's Bankai had an effect on Yhwach in the past when Ichigo asked old man zangetsu his name for the first time, it's totally reasonable for senjumaru's Bankai to be able to identify what your fate would be in the future and apply it to you now. She can't see the future, and neither can her Bankai, but since your ultimate fate is a part of who you are regardless, I think it looks at the souls of its victims and can identify how they will die in the future, and recreates that event right now.
It basically says, "this is how you were gunna die, and your still gunna die in that manner, just right now instead of later on, okay? Cool." Lmao

Uryu isn't reliving his most traumatic memory, he's reliving the death he was supposed to die during the Auswhalen 9 years ago.
This is where Kubo originally wanted to go with Squad 0. Now I can't help but wonder what if the other 3 sacrifice themselves so Nimaya, Hikufune and Kirinji can use Bankai. It would also shake the worlds.

Gates of hell opened due to the captains dying and their souls going to hell, but i don't think Squad 0 is a part of that. They are bound to the Royal Palace, so as long as it and Ichibei exist, they can't die. This is also why i assume they're all so reckless. They are not afraid to die cuz they can't.

Nah, the Zero Division are still alive as long as Ichibei is alive. Plus, they would have to be sent down into Hell, not just killed. In fact, them being inside the Royal Realm is likely why they aren't effecting the Gates at all. Hell seems to be directly linked to the World of the Living, with the Soul Society/Hueco Mundo being slightly more removed than that. The Royal Realm is even farther removed from Hell, with 72 barriers existing between it and the Soul Society.
No, the high Reiatsu count is based on individuals within Hueco Mundo, the World of the Living, and Soul Society. But, with powerhouses such as Starrk, Ulquiorra, Yammy, and Yamamoto dead, Aizen locked in Muken, and Ichigo being the only significant source of Reiatsu in the World of the Living, there is not that much raw power on this side anymore. Further, with EVERY past Captain in Hell alongside a plethora of Hollows, it's easy to see why the balance changed.
@@nikkan3810 I'm aware but the balance of the worlds was already shaking when the Quincies erased a lot of hollows. The point I was trying to make is this "shaking" made people wonder. In the novels people in the living world were aware that something was off and started creating theories and new religious groups.

The massive reitsu of the deceased captains and hollows were by far not enough. Sayelaporro said that power comes with a price. The main cast needed to get stronger in TYBW. But the consequences were unimaginable. Yhwach is sealed off in the highest place of Soul society. Aizen is sealed off in the deepest place in Soul society. Ichigo sucks at his reiatsu control so he can't just subconsciously not influence the era
I think you may have missed the part about Pernida not being to handle continuous evolution after consuming Nemu. which was the thing that killed him in the end. this was perfectly embodied by the infinitely moving black sand that consumed him in Shutara's Bankai... but yes, Mayuri's last name is also VERY thematic.
That's not what happened. Pernida died because it absorbed Namu's ability of accelerated regeneration by consuming her before Mayuri removed the brain, which contained a part that regulated it. Pernida basically died of instantaneous cancer.
The sand was simply an adecuate counter to Pernida's nerve manipulation, as sand is countless and useless individually.

cancer is essentially an evolutionary process going haywire
it's our cells basically evolving to the point where it mutates and becomes a tumor. and it doesn't stop there. as the tumor itself continues to evolve by infecting other cells so then it get's larger and larger.
in fact, accelerated regeneration, is ALSO a form of species evolution. Humans don't have that luxury because currently we haven't evolved to gain that ability but since we already have a natural healing process we could achieve that in the future. of course it's not gonna happen in hundreds, thousands or even millions of years but that's what evolution is. that is what Pernida embodies. and that is what killed him in the end.
this is what the sand represented. an endless and rapid sinking movement that Pernida who is said to embody evolution could not keep up with and instead consumed him in the process
If Senjumaru’s bankai is time/fate related then i could see Uryu using his shrift to negate it seeing as it’s one of the best shrifts right after almighty and arguably equal to balance.

Senjumaru Shutara was chosen because she deserved the spotlight. In the manga she only got killed off.
Kubo does explain stuff in detail. Just not in any place or work people watch or read. It’s probably why they are adding so much. Because if they go off what Kubo thought was essential and put down in the manga, no one knows what is happeming or why. Simple fact is Kubo has had a decade of people constantly saying he did not explain stuff. Which is why the novels go to absurd lengths to do.
Honestly he’d probably go back and fix OG Bleach if he could.
I'm sure he would if he was able to do it under the right circumstances. Kubo is just happy to be away from weekly serialisation in jump. There were editorial issues during the Hueco Mundo arc, which lead to some pacing prolems, and the only reason why TYBW was more graphic is because Kubo heard that the anime was being cancelled so he didn't have to worry about censorship. Makes me think that things would have gone much differently if Kubo had the creative freedom he wanted.
That depends honestly. As he said, he has Unohana's backstory but he would never release it cause he deems it not important. I think he just likes this type of elusive writing style. Ofc as Bleach was weekly, he might have had to cut many things that he wanted to put in cause of deadlines and later health. But I don't think he is the type to explain stuff too much regardless.

A lot of people wonder why Aizen, ichibei, Ichigo and Yhwach don't shake the realms with thier power the same way other Squad zero members (besides ichibe)and Yamamoto are able to despite being stronger than squad zero and Yamamoto
The reason Aizen, Ichibe and Ichigo's power doesn't shake realms is because these three are transcendent beings. Transcendent beings kind of have spiritual pressure that operate on a different frequency, wavelength or plane of existence. In order for their power to be felt, they'd have to lower it to the level where it can be felt.
Squad zero members besides ichibe are true soul reapers. They have raw power that can shake the realms.
For instance, Yamamoto can shake the soul society. Ichigo back in the Arrancar arc was producing so much power in his Shikai that it could be felt across the whole world. Squad zero can shake all realms etc
But when Ichigo and Aizen transcend, their power can't be felt by anyone except if they choose to lower it to the awareness of lower beings. And in the manga when Ichibe releases his Shikai, Yhwach couldn't sense any spiritual pressure.
That's the easiest way to explain it.
Honestly it just shows people don't read or understand bleach. Yamamoto bankai was going to destroy the soul society if he didn't beat fake yhwach fast. Ichigo power can beat felt across the world in the arrancar arc and yhwach was going to destroy and remake all three worlds.
Unfortunately, as strong as Ichibei is, he is not a transcendent being. He typically sits at the top of what a shinigami can achieve, having maxed out their abilities. Transcendence comes after that due to having multiple lineages or natures. Aizen breaks this barrier by using the hogyuku. Ichigo on the other hand has hollow and Quincy lineages. Ichibei on the other hand only has shinigami, a firm seal to the fact that he cannot be transcendent if he possess this 1 nature only.

Ichibei isn't really a soul reaper. He was one of the primordial beings that came into existence along with the soul king eons ago. Most of these beings were the ancestors of soul reapers but they weren't soul reapers at all. Ichibei's powers are nothing like a soul reapers ability.
The other squad zero members are what we can describe as the pinnacle of becoming a soul reaper. But ichibei sits even above that. Another one of ichibei's strange powers is being able to see all things across all realms.

This way better showing of Squad Zero was amazing and after how Senjumaru unleashed her bankai looking incredibly beautiful and powerful. She became my favourite squad zero member after how the anime went down but Namaiya still my guy though.

When I really stopped and thought about it, it makes perfect sense for the Zero Division to be obscenely powerful. We watched Rukia and Renji go from Lieutenant Level to above Captain Level within a week of training there. Byakuya had less time and his Shikai became as powerful as his old Bankai. The fact that the Zero Division has had 100+ years (and that's only for Kirio, the newest member) training there should imply they are each more powerful than pretty much anybody else.
I believe the inherent weakness in Senjumaru's Bankai is in relation t how quickly an individual would otherwise die. Because the Shutzstaffel and Haschwalth die in this arc, the sealing effect is really powerful. Since Uryuu doesn't de in this arc, the sealing effect on him is less directly powerful. I believe that might be why Uryuu seems to be slated to fight Senjumaru next Cour. Well, that and the fact that his Antithesis is a counter for almost any other ability in the series.
I entirely agree that the end of episode 26 was cut early. The fact that we have a 4+ minute ending sequence witht he additional 2 minute end credits would easily get us to a different stopping point. However, I believe that ending it on Yhwach's 'death' at the hands of Ichibei actually works really well when taken with the context of Ichibei's taunt to Yhwach back in episode 24. "Your eyes will remain closed until the day you die." I would have preferred them using the time to at least have Yhwach open his eyes again and really solidify the next phase of Yhwach vs Ichibei, but I think it works as is.
I like the symmetry of ending in favor of a total Shinigami victory whereas the last Cour ended with a Quincy sweep. However, I think they did a poor job building up to Yhwach's 'death' as an end point. They could have used a little more time emphasizing Yhwach fading away and Ichibei looking ominous. Really driving home that despite it looking like a Shinigami victory, that doesn't actually mean the good guys won.
Regarding the endpoint, there's also the fact that episode 26 was supposed to be called A before they changed it to Black, so with Uryu getting his own fight against Senjumaru it's possible they decided to call ep 27 A for it to represent not only the Almighty but also the Antithesis and that's why they had to cut the Almighty reveal from this episode
When Haschwalth faces the fate of Bazz B's flames, I believe this moment is meant to tell us that Haschwalth had two fates set in stone, one where he kills Bazz B, and one where he chooses to die by Bazz B's hands. That's what I feel.
I kinda feel like there’s multiple levels to what her bankai does, but it would make sense that it’s some sort of weaving/sealing fates something OP like that. One could see how the slightest use of that power would shake all the realms.
Its interesting that ichibei himself has an ability that affects the future in Futen taisatsuryo where he steals the blackness of night from 100 years in the future. Senjumaru is most likely showing the imperial guard their "fates" in the future rather than WEAVING the future (which even the greatest 0 div wank should not allow, thats almighty territory). Does this perhaps imply all 0 division members have an ability, perhaps their greatest, that invokes the future in someway? Soul king influence?
And an even greater mystery is even KIRIO who was promoted in TBTP stronger than yamamoto now? She is a part of the seal after all.
Remember, Rukia and Renji went from Lieutenant Level to bodying Captain+ Level opponents with, at most, a week training in the Royal Realm. Byakuya had less time and made his Shikai equivalent to his old Bankai. Kirio has had at least one hundred years training there, so her being VASTLY more powerful is entirely possible.
Though, considering she took something of a backseat role in the fighting, I doubt she's as powerful as the others. I'd say Nimayia is probably the strongest, Senjumaru second, Kirinji third, and Kirio fourth.

A key thing regarding her Bankai which may hint at its nature and how it will be defeated:
Uruyu using the Blut Vein in his eyes just before it activated.
Watashi no Shrift A...Antithesis!
He's the only one who has been using Blut since the start of the fight.
Might be one of the reasons why he survived the Bankai.
When I've seen senjimaru's bankai I thought her bankai was reflecting the story of Arachne the myth
I wonder if Gerard, Lille, Askin, and Pernida actually dies or will they just break out of Senjumaru's bankai bcs in the teaser we see Uryu got out but only him, we didn't even see Jugram, although I'm sure he'll also get out since he has that conflict with Bazz. The only option I can think of is; they simply just broke free of the bankai, or they actually died and Yhwach does another Auswählen to revive them perhaps? Maybe it's too much for him to use Auswählen just to revive them but idk lol

A guanyin in japanese is called a kannon or kan'on. sound familiar? It's the deity in urahara's bankai. They use the same one. Also kannon biraki is a japanese cooking technique which is basically butterflying a chicken breast fillet. Kinda like how his bankai cuts things apart visually when it restructures them. The naming is pretty crazy.
Other people have brought this up but i am almost certain her arms are part of her zanpakuto. They disappear when she activates bankai. And it looks like she uses 2 different needle/swords if you compare what she wielded in the manga vs the anime against gerard.
Theres still a lot of unknowns about her bankai. For instance for most of the schutzstaffel it doesn't actually show the way they are defeated. Jugram doesn't die to bazz and gerard doesn't die to toshiro. And theres too many possibilities and little intricacies with uryu. The symbol reflected in his eye could be to do with the almighty. And maybe theres a way to avoid the fate weaved by senjumaru's bankai. Since even if ishida rescues all of them they still do face the events decided by it later on. But i don't know if uryu will cause idk what his is showing. It's something to do with following the quincy and dying because of it.
Can u talk about the eyes in bleach universe? why does reio have four, yhwach had two then it changed and became three, mimihagi have one but the other arm (pernida) has two. Can u upload a video telling us why it is different and what does the eyes represent and why yhwach eyes have became three?

You pronounced bodhisattva just about perfectly. It's important to note that a bodhisattva isn't a god, but a human being who reached enlightenment, only to choose to return to the cycle of reincarnation to save more living beings. Guanyin in particular is a symbol of compassion, which makes for some potent irony with how she does things. She's also reminiscent of a spider, and there's an interesting story in Buddhism about a spider's thread that was lowered into Hell to save someone there in return for his one good deed of saving a spider's life. I'm not sure if there's more going besides visual motifs underneath the surface there, but if nothing else, it makes for a very nuanced and striking design. Visually, Shutara is my favorite of the Zero Division, and I love her personality and aesthetics, so seeing her get a moment to shine was lovely.

I wonder if Kubo is going to change how Gerard is defeated later on because he comes back after he is frozen as torrent of light/energy and he is only defeated because Yhwach uses Auswählen on him in the manga.
I mean Kubo did mention on Klub Outside that the way to kill Gerard is to break the cross inside him (the one that pops out when Kenpachi bisected his ass), so maybe with the help of toshiro they'll be able to break the cross and kill him.

On the topic of the parallels between Senjumaru and Mayuri, remember that they canonically are aware of each other pretty early on. It is possible that the reason Mayuri's upgraded bankai is basically a "one-time cheat code" is because he saw Senjumaru's bankai and knew how she's basically able to weave fate (though we don't really know if her current bankai changed after she joined Squad Zero, but the basic premise should be the same if it did) basically giving herself a "cheat bankai" able to defeat any enemy. This could also probably tie in to Urahara's bankai and how both use essentially thread in order to do whatever the wielder chooses and how it also parallels Mayuri's own "need" to surpass Urahara knowing that if he surpassed him, he's closer to surpassing Senjumaru?
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the drop in sakuga action quality, and that the cour 2 ending was a bit underwhelming compared to cour 1.🤔

I thought she was more saying that Ichigos bankai manifested itself (at least partly) as the outfit he was wearing, so having a lot of his outfit largely damaged meant his spiritual pressure was largely reduced.

If anything, Senjumaru seems more related to Kisuke, considering his bankai looks a lot like her + its effects are quite similar to hers. However it does seem like Mayuri had a similar relationship with Senjumaru as he does to Kisuke... meaning it's very sour and he despises both of them. My theory is she doesn’t know the fate but the loom does. Think about the movie Wanted. Every time they kill someone it’s literally because a loom makes some microscopic name in the mess of threads and supposedly that person needs to die. She just could be the tool for an otherwise greater power. The thread of fate is a common concept in history.

i think Senjumaru' fate bankai works due to her connection with the Soul King (just like the rest of the Zero Squad members), and it is due to Soul King's ability to see the future.
Her bankai doesn’t actually manipulate fate the abilities within the bankai just the writers forshadowing how some of them are eventually beaten

I suspect her Zanpakuto is another illusion Zanpakuto, and Uryu will be able to resist it due to him using the Blut on his eye in episode 24

I don’t think her bankai “foreshadowed” the sternritter’s death, moreso likely that she has condemned them to a certain death. This means that her bankai ensured that the shinagami wins the war against the sternritters and ywhach. Yes her bankai was revealed in anime, years after Bleach ended but i do think that her bankai allowed her to control the fates of her victim and essentially damning them to their deaths.

If anything she is looking into their Futures and uses these to stall them while something else is being set up.
Yuha himself explains that there are countless different branches of the Future which he can all see and reach into as he pleases, Senjumaru being able to overwrite them all is not possible.
Seen some people wonder what is canon now but to me with all his involvement in the anime - both are canon. The anime is just what we got when he had more time, let cooked to do what he originally would have wanted to do because the manga arc unfortunately was rushed due to the cancelling of the manga

After all that we've seen so far I would like to say that:
Mayuri Kurotsuchi is possibly the only captain amongst the Gotei 13 capable enough (in times) the next l to be promoted becoming one of the Royal Guards.
This is objectively based on his strong will to learn, develop AND evolve with the knowledge and information that he has received. He might invented something worthy of the level of what Kirio Hikifune had accomplished. Also, his bankai capabilities to adapt, change and grow simultaneously to counter the opponents that they encounter at that moment.

I can definitely see that as well, but do you think he would? I'm not sure what's going on in each of those holy cities in the Royal Palace, but from what we've seen so far, it doesn't look like much. Someone like Mayuri would probably go mad from the boredom up there, it doesn't help that he's not the biggest team player either.

If the sternritters defeat squad zero despite squad zero having power that shakes the realms, why do the overpowered sternritters dont cause the same effect? They even used their volstandig at the same time. Squad zero need to kill themselves so one can use her full power. Does it make sense?
As he explained and what the Anime further explained was that each of Squad 0 has the power to shake the realms BUT they had to seal their true powers away bcus they were too strong. As Ōetsu said they weren't even using the power of 1 full Squad yet we saw them completely coming back and handling the enemy. Showing how strong they really are despite being massively nerfed.
As we also know there are characters with hax that can make up the difference in power depending on how broken it is. Uryu's Antithesis and Hashwalth's Balance are such hax that can make up for the difference which is why Uryu was shown outside of the tapestry. Just bcus you beat someone that's super powerful doesn't mean by default you're also that strong. Mayuri and what he did to Kenpachi (later on without spoiling) proves this heavily.

I find it incredibly interesting that Senjumaru, Mayuri, and Urahara are some of the only characters whose powers reference Buddhist figures. Mayuri's sword is, of course, named after a jizo, Buddhist statues made in the likeness of Jizo Bosatsu, the guardian Boddhisatva of children and travellers. Urahara's Bankai references Kannon, the Japanese name for Guanyin, the Boddhisatva of compassion. Senjumaru also references Guanyin with her "thousand arms", but some translations of her Bankai refer to Kala, the personification of time, death, and the unending cycle of rebirth, the "shell" in her Bankai's name being Kala's dead corpse.
I think that this really lends a lot of credence to the theories that the three of them are tied together in some way. We never really did get much explanation for Urahara's childhood and upbringing other than he and Yoruichi being very good friends since and many have pointed out just how similar Urahara's Bankai looks to Senjumaru, it even has her skeletal arms! If I had to guess, I'd say that Senjumaru is Urahara's mother and took Mayuri in when he was young, but largely treated him like an assistant to her and her research and, either way, wasn't much of a loving mother to either of the boys. She left to join the royal guard and perhaps initially Mayuri took over the Research Institute, but, so deadset on outdoing her, did such unethical things that he landed himself in prison, forcing Urahara to take over. This would also potentially explain how Urahara knows about the nature of the Soul King, maybe he was part of the ritual that sent her to the Royal Palace or was present when she first met the Soul King.
Uhh, wasn't Urahara Captain of the division before Mayuri though. And didn't Urahara create the Research division kind of? Urahara released Mayuri for prison in order to recruit him and made him his lieutenant or top seats.

They would have to be stronger than Yama. Like Senjumaru said each member of Squad 0 has power that shakes both Heaven and Earth in the 3 main realms and that's without Bankai specifically. Yama's Bankai destroys 1 realm out of the main 3 at a time. The level in power shows Yama though strong can't beat any of Squad 0
He can obviously, or otherwise yhwach would have been foolish to leave his strongest subordinates behind.
Yamamoto is the stronger than all squad 0 except ichibei.
None of the squad 0 can destroy relam, they can only shake whereas Yama can destroy completely whole relam, which will also destroy other relams as a difference in reiatsu.
@@drvidushibeniwal874 Yamamoto isn't factual stronger then Squad 0 otherwise he would've had the same effects of his power also affecting the other realms not just Soul Society by itself. Shaking 3 Infinite sized realms at the same time is a higher feat than destroying just 1 Infinite sized realm at a time. Squad Zero more than likely can destroy the 3 realms as Senjumaru said herself a small portion of their power can do that by itself not only when they activate Bankai. That was the whole reason they sealed their true powers to begin with unlike Yama who had to do no such thing.
Royd Lloyd also isn't a 100% copy of the person's power but only a portion (which is proven by the fact that Yhwach himself said ONLY he could actually steal Yamamoto's Bankai). Otherwise he would've killed Yama with or without stealing his Bankai instead of the other way around.

Anything else u have got to prove Yama is weaker other than one feat of squad 0, Yama will simply burn her bankai and her threads can't reach Yama. And Yama can erase her existence too

Due to certain things in the CFYOW novel (which I won't spoil if you haven't read it) I don't think that Nimaya's bankai is that, as cool as it would be. I'm not sure what the alternative would be though either. I definitely hope it's something as cool as that though, that would be sick.

So I doubt it's meant for fighting... So you could say, his "failed" sword is a product of his "shikai" therefore that's his shikai in a roundabout way.

I don't think Nimaiya has a true Zanpakuto. We know that Ichibei had the first Zanpakuto and that he granted them the ability to have names as well as named the concepts of Shikai and Bankai. That's why he doesn't have a Shikai/Bankai, rather the different 'Black' and 'White' forms.
I believe Nimaiya is in a similar position. Because he created the concept of the Zanpakuto, he didn't get an Asauchi and awaken an inner spirit the same way other Shinigami do. His powers were already established before that point, so he might be locked out of getting a Zanpakuto spirit. On the other hand, I believe this also means Nimaiya can freely use ANY of the Zanpakuto as if they were his own. His equivalent of 'Shikai' would be using another Zanpakuto. His equivalent of 'Bankai' would being able to use ALL Zanpakuto interchangeably at once.
@@revenantronin8377 this is a cool theory and I would accept it as a way not to show the character abilities, yet as long as it's not stated in the manga there is a missing piece on his character. Ichibe zampakuto is very much tailored to fighting so it's fine their true expertise is to create rather than fight, but this conflicts with the idea that squad zero is stronger than the gotei 13, that was the first statement about them

If he does use multiple zampakuto that would also be very interesting, like if someone on the team gets taken out he will be the one to take up their sword and fight in their place. Maybe this time we will actually be able to see something like this

He's most definitely weaker than all of them. Their bankais can destroy the 3 realms. And as the anime shown, Gerald was defeated easily by both Oetsu and Senjumaru. Not only did Senjumaru kill Gerald she also killed all of the elite sternritters in their volstandig. And it took Zaraki PLUS Toshiro and Byakuya to defeat him.

Feels like people are reaching with this Bankai. It’s powerful, but most likely just nods than foreshadowing and honestly Hitsugaya is being oversold, he can freeze characters solids and freeze they’re abilities but Gerard’s miracle still trumps it and Uryu’s trap is more fitting for him when it’s the power absorbing auswählen that does him in, while most likely Uryu’s tapestry is mostly the biggest fear he’s bound to now that Yhwach has instilled a schrift into his soul, guaranteeing that if he were to die he’d end up in Yhwach.
It's clearly Fate-Weavng of some kind. The exact limitations and restrictions of it are still unknown, but it's still an extremely powerful Bankai. Rather than foreshadowing actual deaths, I think it takes the irony of the character and transposes it to circumstance.
Lille shoots himself because he is so arrogant about his shooting ability. Gerard, a clear Thor expy, is frozen over ala Fenrir/Ragnarok. Pernida's progression is reversed, dragged down into the darkness. Askin is literally crushed under the expectations thrust upon him for becoming part of the Royal Guard. Jugram has to relive the infamous fire that defined his younger days. Uryuu loses himself completely to the cause he swore himself to.
I think that also goes into how Uryuu can get passed the Bankai. He doesn't technically 'die' during the arc, so the seal might not be as powerful on him as the others. Combine that with his Antithesis, and he has a way to bypass pretty much any of Senjumaru's BS. In fact, him refusing to use his Schrift (outside of the one moment where Yhwach clearly told him to do so) is likely due to his hangups on being part of the Vandenreich. I think this fight with Senjumaru forcing him to really activate it is what gets him past that mental block.

I don’t think the bankai can see into the future nor does it draw from the future in anyway. Alternatively, I think the bankai creates "events" that would kill its targets, and those events are then destined to happen no matter what, even if they survive the initial activation of the ability. Therefore, there's a good chance that the royal guards' later deaths are actually an indirect consequence of the bankai we just witnessed. Sort of a conceptual combination between Kyoka Suigetsu, Karamatsu Shinjuu, and The Almighty.

In short:
They were always bound to lose in order for the story to progress.
They underestimated the quincy.
Squad 0 won the battle, and even if they didn't win, Ichibe would still beat down the Sternritter after killin Yuha, and revive the Squad 0 anyway.
They couldn't anticipate the Almighty returning at all, which is why they will lose, and it wouldn't matter at all if they were nerfed or not, they are getting packed by the A.
Also, Cour 3 seems to imply that both Uryu and Yuha will activate their letter A to turn the tides of the battle.
Bankai of a single member shakes the Sangai - they can't destroy the reality they are trying to protect, nor do they have a need to go so far and unleash their power all at once from their perspective, as they themselves say not to go overboard. And in the end it doesn't even matter. They are incredibly strong, as squad 0 should've always been, and they display that power, a much better showing than them being offscreened.
So, summarized - it's not that they are weak, they ARE incredibly strong, but the Quincy are just that insanely overpowered. So, that seal in fact shows their strength.
~This is a stretch, but maybe the condition of seal makes their power stronger, as they very likely got a buff from being infused with the soul palace.
