There's no way to safely evacuate them from down there, and there's no way to lift the sub as dead weight all the way to the surface. they probably felt safe since a civilian sub has never had an accident like this ever. unfortunately this was the deepest the sub had ever gotten, and never once did the people making it ever test "90 hours of life support". the only other time the sub had ever gone underway was when the creator went to 3,000 meters and stayed for about ten hours. on top of that, the team making it didnt hire a single person with a background in military naval submarines. completely fucked from the beginning. these people most likely died in the first hours after contact was lost.

So fun fact about 14 years before the titanic existed there was a book by author Morgan Robertson called The wreck of the titan, made about a ship, The Titan, sinking that mirrors what actually happened to the titanic very well right down to being close to the same size and sinking the same way and in the same month, april, at the same time, midnight.
Many claim the book basically predicted it.
The fact the ceo gave his sea tube(because that's what it is, let's be real)
the same name as the fictional ship that sank before the actual titanic sank, on an undersea trip to see the titanic.....nah, you can only tempt fate so much before reality slaps you.
