Is your Serato DJ Pro or Serato DJ Lite software playing backwards? Are you tearing your hair out trying to fix it? Don't worry - you've done nothing wrong - I'll show you how to fix this in our 60 second video.
Note that if you're using DVS, your fix is possibly something different, but for controller users, or users of the Serato Play Expansion Pack, this is 100% going to be your fix.

Adding this to remind myself - what a useless feature, 4th time it's happened during a gig & have had to come back to this video!
When Serato starts playing in reverse press “Q” (left deck) or “A” (right deck) to undo reverse.
Happened to me live a couple of times on my first gigs ever, thank goodness I was able to look it up on the internet while one deck was still normal and find the Q and A button fix! I hope we can disable this reverse playing from within serato settings.

also on MAC a Command + click on the play Button will fix a permanent reverse on a track

I actually looked at my own video again today to find out why this had happened!
I had this issue once before with my DVS. I had borrowed a needle from a friend of mine which was a brand new still in the box, but when I used that needle on either turntable, it would play Backwards. What I came to find out is that the needle that I was given had different polarity then conventional needles. I had to reverse the wires on two of the needle plugs and then it worked fine

Keyboard shortcuts don't work. unchecked the playback shift box and didn't matter.

*** NOTE *** if not working --->> it has to do with the red and white (left and right) cables being plugged-in backwards. NOW it's fixed!
This is true if you're using DVS.

This happend to me live once. Butvi was able to trouble shoot real quick because i new where the play buttons where on the keyboard so i literally took i wild guess and was saved

Happened to me once . Honestly serato should add an option to disable this in settings , easy fix
You can lock the keyboard actually
Yeah you can lock the keyboard as Mac says but would be good to just turn this off specifically
Digital DJ Tips ask serato they might make an update

I disable this option, but then I can’t use the sampler on the keyboard.

Lat night did my first gig all digital platform with Serato DJ Lite. Turn everything on and both decks were playing at like 10x normal speed. 45 min into a nervous breakdown I wont recover from any time soon, turns out my laptops SOUND SETTINGS was causing the issue, the SAMPLING RATE specifically. I changed it and it worked. Id have KILLED for my mixer, my 1200's, and ONE crate of vinyl. Controllers DO NOT work INDEPENDENTLY, and until they do, they are prone to software compatibility issues JUST LIKE ALL THINGS DIGITAL.
The A button doesn't fix it. Any other hotkeys it could be?

I have a pioneer ddj 1000 srt all of a sudden i see my censor light blinking and my right deck spinning in reverse? I did not hit any keys for this to start spinning in backwards. Could this feature correct this issue also?
No, you need to just press that censor button again.
@@digitaldjtips I tried several times and nothing changed. So i had to unplug the unit to restart the controller.. Thank god i had my phone connected to my 4 th channel..
This happened to me as well. Same controller. Censor button flashing.
Using Shift + Q/A solved the Reverse Playback. Is this still continuing with yours?
@@djarmonic I found out that you can hold the shift button on your controller and hit the senor button and it will play back to normal ..
Thanx man I got worried here for a sec. I thought I unlocked a "Serato Pro" feature and couldn't get it back to normal mode in my Mixtrack Platinum Fx controller..

Wish you could disable the reverse play. Happens every once in awhile when I type on the laptop.

How do you stop the reverse dammmit
How do I fix my crossfader? It's working in reverse. My left side fades out my left side and the same for the right side.🤷🏾♂️
Is there a switch on your controller that allows you to assign the crossfader? If not check the settings

So I just got into phase about two weeks bcuz I was still using scratch live. Anyways this past weekend my turntables with phase we’re moving normal and forward however on serato dj pro they were going super fast hitting over 300 bpms and I was djn live and I had to stop completely and restart laptop serato and phase. Any advice on how to prevent this from happening?
