Its funny, the whole "can you second fader if i redeclare" came up during one of my 2010 tryout duels....and i guessed wrong. The attack went through and i couldnt use fader so i lost lol.
That play was awesome! 😎 I did something similar when I was playing legacy Duelist a couple weeks ago.
Jesse bypassing battle fader for lethal in game 1 was a stellar showing of his mastery of the game
Bs I've played for years that was not a legal move Cimo chose not to use battle fader using a compulse doesn't stop your opponent from using battle fader on the re declare
@@thenightstalker6165 Wrong. Battle fader's effect reads: "When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack". Jesse directs an attack towards the summoned battle fader. When the battle fader gets compulsed, the Ehren attack is not cancelled and remains "declared". Jesse isn't declaring a direct attack aftewards, instead he is changing the target of the declared attack to Cimo's life points. Battle Fader has to activate when a direct attack is declared, and in this interaction, that never actually happened.
@@6jeewon bullshit anytime a attack happens and something is activated a replay occurs that was a direct attack there is no longer a monster that's bullshit and not how the game works at all

@@6jeewon yeah then it's a bug because a replay occurs the attack is being made directly there's a bug that's in millennium duels and legacy of the duelist cards like dragged down into the grave or any card that reveals the opponents hand you can see all their set cards it makes dark world seem higher tier than it really was

Apparently the reason Spirit Reaper gets destroyed after being summoned by Il Blud is that while the summoning does not target, Il Blud continuously targets Spirit Reaper while it is on the field.
OH THAT'S WHY! I have a Zombie Deck on Master Duel and I did the same thing and was confused on what happened. Honestly, that's a dumb ruling.
Does call of the haunted work the same?
@@TheNewblade1 I'm pretty sure it would since both Call of the Haunted and Il Blud have the same wording that "If this card leaves the field, destroy the monster(s) summoned by its effect."
Invisible targeting is another goofy silly thing from yugioh's olden days. Even when the game was simple it just wasn't simple at all.

Jesse is the first person I've ever seen on yugitube casual content to ever do anything like that replay maneuver. I've never seen anyone chainblock either (not intentionally). Really amazing
I love how much Jessie has changed since gaining popularity, due to massive tournament wins and exposure From Sam's channel. Hes such a likeable person.

@MakuraZalis if so, it wasn't intentional. The first time I really started seeing him was when he started at Duel Night. He was quiet, not exactly charismatic, just seemed really shy. Now, he is the complete opposite and I love it.

They tried to do the card holding thing from the anime, but put the card too high up. lol
cimo overrates searchability so much in these drafts. morphing jar is the pick everytime over stratos unless you plan on playing lots of other heroes, and there was no reason to pick charge over trunade even if you had gotten the monster previously. fun games though
Yep totally, even tho most of the decks are monsters he can get crazy advantage with morphing at the right time. Tho it probs would have helped Jesse more looking at his deck, but generally yes it’s crazy
Cimo was kinda banking on seeing a Monarch. Having Infernal Prodigy in hand when you draw a good tribute summon is really strong.
Just one time I want someone to go all in on the Glad Beasts. They come up all the time, and everytime they're like 4 cards in they're like "Oh Laquari? I don't have any other Glad Beasts though" and then they see 3 Dimacari and Hera 😭😭
You can’t say Yugioh players and good drafting unless “Never are” is inbetween those words
Problem with Glad Beasts is that they're very risky. Yes they can make Fusions by going back into the Deck but if your opponent has an out (which is highly likely), you're screwed since you likely have no follow-up.
Unless you see Bestiari early its a huge risk to go for Glads.

The Edison drafts always feel a bit weird. Maybe it would help if you get a few more cards and can just cut some of the filler cards out? Allows you a higher chance for synergies.
I also learned many new things in this episode.
This did a surprising job of showing just how good Jesse is, while Cimo is a great draft player, Jesse’s play around on the Veiler was top notch. His reads on cards like Chthonian Blast based purely on activation timing just show not so much a knowledge of the cards, but a knowledge of the game itself as he knows what possible effects can meet even the most niche activation conditions.
This was a sick episode. Jesse Cotton is a cool dude and it was great to see him work in a sealed draft environment.

@@cameraredeye3115 RDA activates after dmg calc, monsters are not sent to GY until end of dmg step.
This was a ton of fun to watch. It was very much like the IRL king, vs the online king. Battle of two worlds haha. Would love to see the two of you guys work together on future projects/collabs.

Spirit Reaper says: "After resolving a card effect that Target this card, destroy this card" Jesse targeted it in GY to summon it, so thats why it died
Il Blud's effect to Special Summon doesn't target the monster in the GY though.

Pretty much. One thing I've noticed with Jesse is that he's incredibly patient, and he has an insane knack for knowing when to fire off something. Where the rest of us would summon the Breaker in order to try and get game a turn or two sooner, Jesse always holds back because he's in a dominating position and can afford to let the game go on another couple turns.

Yes too many monster filler sometimes it doesn't fill like an edison draft
The draft pool for these episodes SUCKS, the GOAT pool is way better at producing games that look less like a total stomp because only one person got playable extra deck in the draft

Newdoria was in defense, so Red Dragon's effect to destroy all defense position monsters activated. That includes the monster it's attacking, so Newdoria was destroyed by effect, not battle and its effect was not triggered
