Hi Jan, It was a good mix for sure. The large round cake didn't keep though, apart from that everything else was fine. Wishing you a great week ahead, Shane and Lisa xx

That was a good deal and great savings on the reduced as well I would go for the pie and mash depending on the filling

Hi Danielle, wide selection on cakes but thin on the ground for chilled items. Pie and mash seems the favourite in the comments. The pie turned out to be steak so went down a treat. Wishing you a great week ahead, Shane and Lisa xx

Hi Kate, a winner dinner 😅 We ended up with a medley. The lasagne was a bit of an unsung here, quite pleasant. Wishing you a great day ahead, Shane and Lisa xx

Hi David, Welcome to England, hope you're settling in well. 1 Bob = (old) 5 pence, 10 bob is 50p... a ten bob bit is a 50p coin. Quite rare to hear now. Wishing you a great week ahead, Shane and Lisa xx

The Roast Potatoes were probably 2.50 in themselves so that's excellent value. Morrisons reduced is much better than the likes of Tesco's where you barely get anything off. I live about 2 minutes away from a Morrisons so can get in there 730 ish for their reduced stuff, got a Lemon Chicken Chinese for a pound on Saturday. Usually 4.50 I think! Have a great week guys

HI Birdsbodger we were thinking a roast was going to come out after those potatoes but alas pie it was. We've not really tried tesco much as it is in the next town. A pound meal is a good call from £4.50. We've been having mixed results over times and days. We went one Sunday and it was a fail. We've had a good start to the week and hope the same is true for you, wishing you a fantastic day ahead, Shane and Lisa xx

Yummy… I’d have pie, mash, carrots and gravy.. the roast spuds I’d put in the fridge to eat cold… love cold potatoes.

Hi Jean, the pie is favourite in the comments. We'd not had the lasagne previously ( curry had already been tried in a previous bag ) and it was quite a treat. Wishing you a great day ahead, Shane and Lisa xx

For the money that food for £2.50 was good. I would have the pie and mash.

That was a good buy - my local Morrisons never have such good hot food bags - its all burnt sausages and hash browns.

Hi Denise, the unknown presents excitement and risk not knowing what you'll pull out of the bag next. Generally it has worked well but we did see one bag with many duplicates. Wishing you a great week ahead, Shane and Lisa xx

Great haul there guys.. the pie meal must be £2.50 on its own.. hope the pie is steak 😉🥧

      @ShaneAndLisa  Před 11 měsíci

Hi Melanie, you were correct, it was Steak 🙌Not sure on the price of the pie on its own, the Morrisons menu is showing as a meal pie, mash, peas and gravy for £6.49. Wishing you a great day ahead, Shane and Lisa xx

Really it does not matter what the place sells the food for at full price, if you wanted it at full price you would just get a fresh version. it is the real cost of the items in the bag. the pie is more like a £1 in value, 1 carrot is 10p 1/3 of a tin of peas etc.
TGTG price runs on full price even if the item has a reduced sticker on it. this is stupid since you could just buy reduced priced items of your choice and not end up with items you do not like

haha Andrew, not seem that in the reduced aisle but I think the past news articles seemed to have a preference to Tesco 😅Wishing you a great week ahead, Shane and Lisa xx

Done two of these, greggs and tim hortons, greggs , was stale cinnamon swirl, pack of crisps, a pack of tuna sarnie, sodden unedible, and a fruit pouch, and an orange juice, total waste of time and money, Tim Hortons was a box full of honey timbits, after 4 they were sickening - binned - so won’t try another bag

Oh dear, bad experience there. Some of the sandwiches do pass into soggy bread by the time collection comes around. Did you ever try again or did that seal its fate? wishing you a great week ahead, Shane and Lisa xx

  • @davidsworld5837

gravy no real value. carrots what 10p peas may be 8p the mash 1 potato, and the fries 1 potato. the pie is the only value out of that run of items
the two cold meals must be how they do what they sell. but still more than you would get looking at many other morrisons TGTG bag opening.
mind your yellow ticket are too much I would not buy any of them not worth it.
the last time i got 4 bread buns they were under 30p. spending any were near a £1 for cake is just not worth it.
    You must try harder heheheheeh

😅 you're setting a tough finish line for us David haha like the school report you don't want to see 'try harder next term and focus on books not the window' 😅 We were surprised last time to find the 'readymeals' in the hot food bag, there was a discussion in the comments at the time which was an insight. Expect lower wastage over fresh cooking a large catering tray. We did find Asda cheaper on reduced bread. Typically we do not find many items with multiple reductions at our morrisons so the first yellow label is only dropping around 30% even varying the times of visit.
Wishing you a great day ahead, Shane and Lisa xx
