symptoms of low porosity: 00:00-03:55
the routine (low porosity): 4:00-15:38
the routine (naturally wavy): 15:39-20:00
I’m like so perplexed by my hair, I used to have a ton of hair as a child and now I’m like WHERE DID IT GO
Same, I have less than half of what I used to have, so sad.
I can totally relate !!! My hair was so thick and curly , now it's like 1/4 of what it used to be and the curls are gone (probably from heat damage and bleaching)
You could get your hormones checked at your gynecologist - sometimes hair loss is due to high androgens. Or maybe your life is super stressful, that can contribute too. 💞
no legit, I went lost 90% somewhere around 19 🥲
Omg same it makes me so sad and insecure lol
Thank you ! My whole life I had straight hair like FKG straight. But since i'm 18, my hair changed and it became wavy. I tried a lot of wavy hair routine but the products just sits on my hair and look heavy and greasy. The symptoms you mentionned are exaclty a description of my hair so I will try your routine ❤
Same girl....they never look the same after shampoo ,instead look dried weavy and frizzy
Saaaame. I went back to shampoo and conditioner with sulfates and silicones and that helped. Also prioritizing hydration majorly. Bare min leave in conditioner right after shower
We literally have the same hair type. Low porosity, 2a/2b hair. Very frizzy 😩literally every single thing you describe about your hair is the same as mine. I cant use thicker hair masks, or leave in conditioners, everything just sits on my hair instead of my hair absorbing it. Would love to see some videos with product recommendations 👍🏽 (one tip I love and always do it applying heat with hair conditioners/masks, I feel like the heat helps with absorption)
my hair is about to go crazy!
love that for u 😭
You were the person I saw on the internet with my kind of porosity hair . this will be so helpful ✨✨
yay love that :')
Girl you explain so well!! Love it
You have beautiful flawless skin! Thank you for the video!
We have similar hair. It fills me with joy to see someone like my unruly hair and give tips about it.
Thank you so so much.
Thank you so much for this video. You are such an inspiration for so many people including myself. I love your self care and nails vlogs.
omg i love this comment sm!!! tysm 🩷🥹
We have the same hair type for sure glad to run into this video
so glad 🫶🏼
I have very fine hair, but A LOT of it. My hair is also very long (down to my waist,) and it’s very confusing. When I let it air dry, it’s just a frizzy, semi-wavy mess. No matter how I style my hair (even with color wow dream coat,) the underside is always frizzy. My hair is also SUPER oily. Like Im talking less than 24hrs before my hair gets greasy. (I guess my hair is practically the definition of low porosity hair! 😂) Therefore, I wash my hair every day. Yes, EVERY DAY. And before anyone says anything, yes; ive tried “hair training.” When I was trying to “train my hair” for a few months, that was probably the least healthy my hair has ever been. And even worse, it didn’t even “train” my sebum production! Everyone acts like daily washing is cardinal sin, but everyone’s scalp is different! Not only does my hair feel amazing with daily washes, but I always get compliments on how long, thick, shiny, and healthy my hair is. So for all my girlies with greasy hair who have been shamed out of washing their hair every day - do what works for YOUR hair! The lower porosity your hair is, the more frequently you will (most likely) need to wash it. I know this doesn’t really have anything to do with the video, but I just thought that someone out there would need to hear this. :)
Same experience here. ❤
Hair training is actually *horrible* for your hair.
Sebum contains DHT, which causes hairloss. When your sebum builds up on your scalp, so does your DHT, which causes hairloss and thinning.
@@sandy_carpetsthesecond5013 that’s so interesting… I always thought for the reasons above in og comment and the extra shed I experienced that my hair prefers daily/almost daily shampoo but now I know WHY
@@sandy_carpetsthesecond5013 for sure! Sebum obviously is nourishing, but too much of anything is bad!
@@joussecent6 ☺️
SAME HAIR AS U. It’s a struggle sometimes but the routine is great! 🎯
You're the first person i've seen who uses naturelab! I love their yuzu shampoo and conditioner set
I found out that if I'm gonna use a creamy leave-in conditioner then I have to skip the conditioner in the shower.
Basically I get the best result when: shampoo, conditioner and then watery leave-in conditioner on dripping wet hair OR shampoo, directly creamy leave-in conditioner also on dripping wet hair.
Then you can go in with your styling product of choice (cream or gel), scrunch out the excess water with a fiber towel, hair protectant spray and u can close with blow drying ur hair (diffuse or wharever u you like).
Never go all out with too many products!! It will just weight down your waves (especially if u have fine hair).
Thank you so much for sharing this ❤️
Super helpful, thank you. I’ve been using all the wrong products! 💜
This is what I exactly needed❤
so glad 🫶🏼
Ooh I know I just left a comment, but you should do a video for how you do your blowouts with your Dyson air wrap! Because those curtain bangs?! It looked soo good!
Loved this! Thank you ❤

This is very helpful
Thank you!

So I have wavy/curly (2b-3a) EXTREMELY low porosity hair that's very fine, almost like baby hair. I feel like because I live in a dry climate, literally the second driest climate in the US (in Utah,) the things that work for my low porosity hair are totally opposite to the things that work for yours. I have to use very moisturizing, thick, creamy products or else my hair is literally like straw and it refuses to curl. The thing that really helps is using products that have no protein, or very little protein. If I use anything with protein in it my hair feels like frizzy, poofy straw that feels rough to the touch and refuses to curl. The Dae monsoon moisture shampoo and conditioner are perfect (they're rich and creamy and contain only a small amount of protein,) except I'm looking for something else now because I'm super allergic to them lol. And coincidentally the Dae cactus fruit styling cream along with a gel works perfectly as a curl cream and also replaces a leave-in conditioner.
The most annoying thing about my hair is that I absolutely have to wash it every day, or every other day if I put it up on the second day, because it loses moisture so fast. I feel like each time I wash it, moisture gets added back into it and makes it a little softer and less frizzy. By the end of the day my curls are frizzy and a mess, no matter what hair products I use. Any time I travel to somewhere that has even a little bit of humidity, I suddenly don't have these problems so I know that it's just the fact that dry climates are terrible for wavy or curly hair.
this is gonna sound a little dumb from me but have u tried just re hydrating your hair with water every morning? when i wear my hair naturally (wavy) i have to rehydrate it with a spray bottle otherwise it looks so bad 😭 i get ur struggle sm
You look like a goddess here 💗 need a tutorial
I always had pretty straight hair. But after using heat constantly without heat protectant, the hair started getting wavy & it looks so frizzy all the time 😭. And now I'm here
Me too gurl My sisters still have straight thick hair and mine got bad now it’s so think and kinda wavy too😢
I used a very heavy mask from Amika The Kure (that everyone loved) and i have noticed that the product didn’t made my hair super soft and detangled like i expected or read. Now i understand that my hair ir low porosity and that’s why these good products didn’t do much for me 😅 I used to believe that the heavier the product the better since i have dry hair ends! Anyway, very great and informative video!
omg been looking for help since my hairdresser told me i have low porosity hair! *crying* thank you sooo much dood i love you for this!
yay! happy to help you on your hair journey 🫶🏻
I get you, when you said it looks like not washed when you washed in the morning. I found out today my hair is low porosity hair
Love this! Ty ❤ those nails are so cute too! Are they natural?
I've fine thin low porosity curly to wavy hair, also it's super dry
I'm so lost in the sea of haircare routines 👩🏾🦯
That’s me 🥲 I am also lost 😂
I don’t know what to buy any more. + I don’t have a dry scalp.
@@SaraElghalbzouri not sure abt my scalp, it easily gets oily or dandruffy, so i have to wash it everyday. But the hair itself is dry & frizzy. Dying in the lore of haircare routines atp
@@UnrecyclabletrashI’m also fine haired with low porosity and absolutely overstated and overwhelmed with hair routines, data, and ingredients lists. 😓 Why does nothing work? I honestly fantasize about a bixie cut this morning because then at least I’d have far less hair to deal with/hate.
thankyou girlmy hair is being so fizzy rn now i can finally stop applying hair straightning shampoo on my wavy hair
im glad i found this video. we have the same hair type.. huhuhu
Results may vary greatly, but I found for me my low porosity hair loves heavier products that are coconut oil based, like the raw sugar curl mask and leave in, and the pacifica curl cream. Using straight up coconut oil is a bit too much for it though because it can be tough to get out. But products formulated with coconut oil but not too much of other types of oils (which don't penetrate my hair as well); my hair just drinks it up and does not get weighed down!
If you wanna use heavier products i definitely recommend diluting it with water
Could you recommend a good clarifying shampoo. And good hair oils cause I have the same hair as you
even with the spray on products, i like to spray into my hand and rub my hands together and apply that way. .
Hey, so the second time when you took a shower did you use shampoo and conditioner or just washed the hairs with water? Also does wavy hair needs to be washed everyday? How many times to shampoo?
Todo el video al español es lo que necesito ❤😢
Can u list your products?
Which shampoo and conditioner please???
How many times I should wash my hair ???
I literally have all the characteristics of low porosity hair except for the fact that my hair dries quite fast now I'm so confused if I actually have low porosity hair or not.
Same! 🤔
can i use hair sunscream product in mist instead of leave in conditionner
can i just use water every single day? I have similar hair type. I am talking about the days i am not shampooing my hair. Please reply. I need this🥺
I deff have low poros hair. I think the only thing I don’t have issues with is the greasiness.
Can you list the products here?
Hi do you have shampoo/conditioner recommendations for low porosity hair ☺️
I use the shea moisture low porosity shampoo + camille rose leave in conditioner and it’s SO GOOD
She liked the comment but didn’t reply 🥲
Tsubaki is cheap and good
Yaaay this has been a game changer for me! Thank you so much! 🥹💕 It’s funny how CZcams recommended this to me as I was questioning what the heck can I do to make my hair look and feel better after I showered haha.. I started doing this and use lightweight hair products on my curly hair and FINALLY my hair hasn’t been feeling weighed down! I feel kinda stupid for not realizing this sooner 🙊 thank you love 🤗🥰💕
Whats a good everyday shampoo? The detox ones irritate my scalp if I use more than once a week.
Take a look at giovanni hydrating/ cleansing balance shampoo .
I personally use it once or twice a week. but according to the bottle, its a shampoo for daily use .
I use Kitsch or Ethique clarifying shampoo bars daily, they are much gentler than any liquid shampoo I’ve used. & they have very little fragrance (which tends to contribute to irritation). This works really well for me! Both brands have websites if you wanna check them out! : )
hope this helps!!
But I want to touch my hair! 😆 I can't stop. You're so right though.
3:45 where she starts
my hair takes forever to get wet, but is really quick to dry, so I guess I'm confused?
I find that if i have more than usual hair oil in my hair, it takes a while to get wet and it is quick to dry after shower. It makes sense in my head because oil repels water
@@elisedanica hum, yeah, but what takes long to get wet isn't the roots, so i guess that's not the case
we have the same exact hair wth
did u air dry
I see you're combing wet hair. Is that good for low porosity hair?
It mainly depends on hair texture! It causes more damage for straight hair, but less damage for curly hair. If you have wavy hair you kind of have to figure it out yourself I think?? If you want to know why I can try to find the video that I learnt it from!
My hair is wavy and for me it’s best to comb my hair when it’s wet with conditioner. When it’s dry I find it’s best just to finger detangle. But I still use a detangling brush if I want to save time because my hair is healthy enough that a little more damage isn’t the end of the world!
I’m literally so frustrated with my hair, I can literally never soak it enough to put product in it
Only 900 likes??!! what?? Lemme chance that
It doesn’t worked for me 😢 it still looks shitty but with more product in it :(

Do you have a blow dry tutorial? You skipped that part.
What if it takes forever to dry but easy to get wet?
that sounds like you have a lot of hair!! my hair is really prone to humidity too if that's what you mean!
Can we know which video editing app do you use ? It helps for a rookie ytuber like me!! All your vlogs standout from rest 🫶🏻
BTW THIS IS vid is SO USEFUL ❤!
