Yes it is, with the new strafe settings. Interface: Bind turning to the camera -> Go to controller layout and select: left shift/look around to your button of choice.

Aim assiste sometime ruin your shoot when enemy cross your view quikly.
Thats why i said its personal preference if on or off when using a burst weapon, but dps weapons standard is the best.
