- In the final game of the regular season The Knicks did not disappoint and was able to secure the win and the 2nd seed in the East in a thrilling 120-119 overtime win against The Bulls. Jalen Brunson had his 11th 40 PT game of the season. The Knicks now look to the Playoffs where they will face the winner of the 76ers Heat play-in game.

Absolutely incredible that with all the injuries we had this year we still managed to win 50 games and get the 2nd seed. This a testament to the while org. From front office to coaching to the players. This season was one of the best.

Let's not forget that before Mitch, and Randle got injured and before the OG trade, this Knick squad was once the second unit. Brunson is the only starter from the season opening. The way Brunson is carrying a team with no second star is incredible. All of the other teams going into the playoffs have at least one, two, or even three or more stars playing together. Bucks have Giannis, Dame, and Middleton. Celtics have Porzingis, Tatum, Brown, and Holiday. Lakers Have LeBron, and Davis. Denver has Jokic, and Murray. Phoenix has KD, Booker, and Beal. Warriors have Curry and Thompson. Heat have Butler, and Adebayo. Indiana has Siakam, Halliburton, and Turner. Atlanta has Young and Murray. Dallas has Luca and Kyrie. OKC has Shai Gilgeous Alexander and Holmgren. Minnesota has Anthony Edwards, Towns, and Gobert. All of these teams are loaded with role players as we as deep benches. Knicks are playing their bench with only one star alone by himself, and that's Brunson. And for credits to coach Thibs, he managed to get the team to the second seed in the east and win 50 games. So, I strongly feel that Brunson should get the season MVP, and coach Thibs should get coach of the year award for what little he had to work with.

I don't think it is cowardice to think that, because everyone can think that inside or struggle with some doubt. Courage frequently comes after performing a touch act, not before. But I do think that it is cowardice to avoid a seeding or to consider losing looking to avoid something or to try and make things "easier." Sooner or later you will have to face adversity or a tough opponent one way or another.

The Knicks have the 2nd best record in the East. They finished with the 2nd best point differential in the East. They were missing Randle, OG and Robinson for so long. We're a better team than Miami this year, what makes you say that? Philly is also more likely our opponent, given they're on an 8 win streak.
The Pacers aren't a particularly easy target, it'd be no surprise if they take out the Bucks. The only opponent I strongly preferred was the Magic, but they weren't an option for us.
Get that COWARD, LOSERS MENTALITY out of here. The Knicks showed All season long that they don't run from adversity or any team. If a team is scared to play another team, that's not a championship team.

Unfortunately, I think getting the 2 seed is a strategic mistake
The Knicks are 1-2 vs the Pacers. The Pacers dropped 140 points on the Knicks. They put up 156 points in 4 quarters vs the hawks in the last regular season game. The Pacers are no joke. Do not underestimate them. The Pacers style is very annoying and is quite difficult to play the good Knicks team defense. Did you know that the Knicks are 3-1 vs the 76ers? Did you know that the Knicks beat the 76ers with Embiid by 36 point win margin in a game? Are you sure Embiid is 100% because he hurt himself again and skipped out of the last game? Did you know that the Knicks could get home court in the 2nd round vs the Bucks? That matters. Giannis could be back.

Our reward for a 2 seed is Philly or Miami. Yikes. Philly has a healthy Embiid and Maxey, and everyone knows Spo coaches circles around Thibs. Not feeling too confident.
Julius Randle was injured in the Heat playoff games last year. He didnt coach around Thibs last year. Knicks also lost Quickley in that playoff games.
