- F-160 Raiju is a newly added Jet plane in GTA Online as part of GTA ONline San Andreas Mercenaries DLC update. Also there are new Charlie upgrades available to Avenger to make it more powerful in GTA 5 Online. Both are at expensive vehicles in GTA Online. Durability nerf
the avenger is the perfect thing for a server full of mk 2 opressors, it has a extremely durable hull, and it now has missiles
What sucks is that it’s extremely easy to dodge aircraft missiles in an Mkll
@@hamper3985 the cannon is much harder to dodge and has pretty much infinite range and one shots MK2's. If you play with friends just stuff your avenger full with everyone on the guns and countermeasures and just go griefer hunting.
And u can kill em with the big ass propellers

The Avenger is incredible, I never regretted having bought it one day.
They should have added another mod for a new gun terminal and AC-130 guns on the side of the Avenger. The missiles and guns are really cool for the pilot though (no rockets?)

@@AN-rz7bs well that’s because some try hard use thermal helmet in jet and they can literally spawn trap you 90% of time even worse if there is 4 jet with thermal like imagine you are in a mountain no NPC near a thermal jet come spawn trap
@@BlackholeU_U Never had any problems with jets. You can just shoot them down with explosive sniper or railgun.
But really this nerf just made them useless. Why choose hydra or Lazer when there's literally a new jet that's better than them both combined?
@@AN-rz7bs after nearly a decade of the Lazer and Hydra being busted they can stay dead until GTA 6 for all I care. It makes less than zero sense why the F-16 and AV8-B Harrier knock offs had ridiculous air to ground ability while the A-10 knockoff is crap for air to ground but is somehow one of (if not THE) best dogfighters in the game. The Raiju at least isn't too great for air to ground but is much better at fighting other people in weaponized aircraft that can fight back. The only people seeing a downside to the Lazer/Hydra nerf are the griefers who abused it and now have to learn how to use the Savage instead and get dumpstered on because it at least takes a little bit of skill to be good with the Savage.
Am I the only that's is extremely triggered by the fact that the F-160 has bombs in his weapon bay but no bombing capabilities?😅
I spent half an hour trying to learn how to bomb using it only to find out It cannot bomb. Why would you add bombs if it cannot bomb . . .
Its not a bomb bay, the missiles drop down from there when they fire

That's a little apples to oranges. The Avenger is essentially an armored VTOL transport. The Raiju is a nimble stealth fighter. THey're used for different things.

EPIC GAMER TIP:
If you fly around in a circle at a right angle to the floor whilst tapping your rudders a bit then you can outlast homing missiles
Now avenger can fights back and not just fly away because it hadn’t weapons
Can you only store vehicles in Avenger if you have Vehicle Workshop? Because when I enter cockpit my vehicle spawns randomly somewhere on the map

I would like to have the Avenger because you can put a car in there, can have your friends with you, a jet pack, and a gun upgrade station too. It is a Flying Fortress, who doesn’t want one.

Avenger. Operated with a full crew, or hell just one person makes it an absolute OP aerial vehicle.
raiju is the best pve vehicle rn, but if you want to shit on a lobby and you have some friends playing with you, avenger can be really fun
Raiju is if your a grifer (like some pervert) and Avenger is for fun (you earn money from your avenger if you buy terminal)

1 vs 1 i did explode the avenger before with the raiju. but if there's many operators in the avenger you need to hit them flying down and its a very long fight so .

Dude I've had F-160s fly into me while I'm in the avenger and I'm completely unharmed
If you take the AVENGER, you will activate the "invisibility" mode and fly it with a jetpack - you will still be invisible!!!
Even if you later change to another vehicle - you will still be invisible on the map (your character will blink on the minimap). Maybe it's a bug, maybe they'll remove it - but for now it works XD

@littleMaybug06 actually, the avenger thruster can be used to get back into the avenger while it's for example, in autopilot! No more annoying respawn to get into the avenger.
@@Finfun155 Since the avenger cannons can't be used with thermal the avenger thruster is still pretty much useless.

The avenger is in my opinion the best air to ground vehicle every since update. With the missiles it’s a buzzard that can take 20 rockets plus it has bombs. Also did I mention the ridiculous cannons!

Imo its the avenger since it survived in a head on collision against a alkonost and the ground and didnt explode and if one of the 2 rotters stops working it somehow stayed in the air
Stays in the air because IRL it shifts power to the working blade so it can stay alive for a little longer, genius engineering tbh

The F-160 is based on the F35 and the Avenger is based on the V-23

The best way to dodge missiles in the avenger is by (on playstation) turning right with left stick and hold R1 so you do circles, you can go left too. I find that works 90% of the time. To get some distance you need a co pilot to use chaffs. The biggest killer for me has been the raiju and lazer explosive cannons

You haven't had to dogfight one of these bastards.
True, the big differences are the VTOL is easier to control and can go upside down, it is a tad bit more durable, and stealth mode.
