The word jain in front of any dish simply denotes that the food is without onion garlic ginger and potatoes ; for jains raw banana is a substitute for all the dishes which are made up of potato so the vada which you had consisted of raw banana insted of potato in it .

Jain wada pav me potato nai raw banana hota hai.. its looks n feels like potato but it isnt.. no jains do not eat potato. Those who follow it properly they dont eat potato.. some other sects like vaishnav swami narayan n all they eat potato nut not onion garlic. But jains dont eat any of it. Hope this helps. N it was so sweet of u to try jain wada pav n include this in ur video too!!

Guys, Jain people substitute potatoes with raw banana. Hence, it tastes different. Also, the normal wada paav mixture usually contains garlic and potatoes but not onions. Some people may add onions in between the wada and paav while serving.
