Yeah, sorry gang, this one's probably my roughest yet, with not that much attention to detail, but hey they can't all be good I guess.
I'm still taking request btw, so if you have any suggestions I'm here for it! I was thinking about going back to fantasy high (maybe even season 1?) and doing a scene from there. Maybe Ayda and Fig and their kiss?
What scene do y'all want to see?

This evil squad is pragmatic evil, they won't betray each other just for being villains

I love how the boatman just exists because Brennan was thinking "wait, why am I complaining at you? Let me insert a character to do that for me."
He also was present to take zhalnash’s soul in exchange for the crown in the same episode
He was probably suppose to show up either after they did some sort of insight check to figure out how to activate the blood pool or he was going to show up after they all fought eachother to the death because that was the initial plan, a giant pvp at the end, but the power of good and brennan's desire not to railroad players too much resulted in what we got

@@maruk091 it’s a reference to the alignment table, a 3x3 grid you use during character creation to determine your characters morality.

The boatman is the most self-insert character Brennan has ever created as a DM, good grief.

Brennan realising he can't in-univers comment on the EVIL characters action and straight up creating an NPC to vent his frustrations
The character already existed. They showed up in previous scenes, while it wasn't supposed to end like this, i don't believe that the boatman was gonna be completely uninvolved lol

Think of the forces of good in this game. The forces of good will sacrifice themselves, even whole armies willing to die for the cause of goodness.
Evil is selfish. Evil will care about their friends and NO ONE else. They will tear down the world so that the people close to them can be happy, completely disregarding the happiness of literally everyone else just because they don’t know them. Having their little friendship circle is very evil, because of the WAY they did it. It calls to mind mean girl clique stereotypes in a high school. Yeah, good for them that they’re friends, but they maintain that by tearing others down. Legit I think Olag is closer to “good” in this universe than the PCs
It's like collective selfishness - "only people who deserve to be happy should be happy, but the people who deserve to be happy are not just me, but everyone i like, "my tribe" "

tbh that kind of evil is a lot more realistic. There are only a handful of megalomaniacs in real life, but peer pressure is universal.

I love the fact that if you watch the behind the scenes if "escape from the bloodkeep" they wanted to push the players into a final PVP battle because they're "evil". Instead everyone found friendship and love! XD

A little detail that I absolutely love is when everyone is coming in for the group hug you see Markus fade away thinking, "Oh no, he doesn't want any of it," only for him to appear on Lilith's back to get in on the hug. I just love that he teleports in for it. Also that shot at the end of everyone getting ready for the last fight is awesome
I love it too; he Fog if War-ed into a group hug. It's so damn wholesome.

The way it kinda looks like Lilith scuttled so frantically she didn't get any traction, it's just *chef's kiss*
It legit took me a few seconds to realize that minotaur was Sokhbarr, not because you did a bad job at designing him, but because I just keep forgetting he's supposed to not human. A lot of the personality of the characters come from seeing the actors faces as they perform and that causes me to associate them as their characters even though their mini figures don't look anything like them. I always imagined Lilith just looked like Erika put with a spider body. It's weird.
On the other hand, Leiland is for some reason drawn as an elf (?) instead of a wraith.
@@elbruces He did look like an elf underneath the helmet. Only maybe a bit wraith like (floating hair?)

@@elbruces YES hello, really late response but, I forgot leiland was an undead human! I just always imagined him with elf ears. I really REALLY big mistake on my part. I addressed it a little in the description but y'know. Sorry about the confusion!

I love this. Brennan's angry god face is so funny lmao. I see you're taking requests, honestly I keep thinking about the bad kids obsession with the prize counter because it's so funny and then actually pays off? That or the moment were Kristen meets Tracker.

Escape from the Bloodkeep is hands-down my all-time favorite Dimension 20 campaign and *NO-ONE CAN TELL ME OTHERWISE!!!*
This campaign, along with great shows/games like CN's Villainous and Lego DC Supervillains, proves that 'hero' and 'protagonist' don't have to be the same thing in storytelling. I truly believe that the world NEEDS more villain centered stories.

Cannot remember what the boatmans name is but his animation is so fluid! The hands the cape amazing! Honestly one of the best bits of eftb, seeing as it cemented the found famliyness of the whole season!
Even though this is your ‘roughest animation’ I still think it’s great. You draw faces so expressive and damn it’s good.

That framing as he walks down the corridor really sold this for me! We’ll done. Also the boatman having a kind of hades (Disney) movements is definitely not something I really imagined him having but totally worked really well!

Honestly though, could you imagine if in LotRs Melkor, aka Mr. "I Betrayed My Beloved Siblings Multiple Times Because My Greatest Pleasure is Corrupting Everything They Stand For", saw a group of Sauron's dark generals engaging in a group hug. I could see him being like "What the actual f*** is all this?!"

the moment the hug happened was amazing and I adored it, this was delightful to see.
it was so beautiful and just demonstrates that the found family trope reigns supreme.
I also really liked how Markus becomes fog just to appear in the hug, it makes me tender and content

the little stutter of Lillith before grabing Efink in the hug, the big hug and Markus just looking imposing in his get-up but then teleporting to get into the hug, how Maggie put down her hammer to get into it.
Many amazing details that enhance the (already excellent) RP the players provided, Markus was quiet but they all got into the hug and were happy to do so!
it was really great to see, thats why I love animations because getting to see something not just interpreted in your mind can be so awesome and enhancing for the overall moment.
also Brennan's "THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE EVIL CAMPAIGN" and his hand flip is, yes.

Oh, also! What software do you use?
I use the worst software. I don't use software really. I draw every frame on Medibang (making layers "frames" so to speak and making them translucent for the onion effect for reference) and then I go through every frame and make them a jpg.
Then I transfer them over to a photo animation software (stuff normally used for like photo albums or stuff like that), and adjust the duration of every photo (frame) to match the lip sync. I would NOT recommend this method, and the only reason I do this is because it's just a hobby. I have no intention of learning real animation software or anything like that because I'd either have to pay, or I'd have to learn.
This is a really easy yet stressful way to do this, and I wouldn't recommend it. But hey, it's just a hobby!
@@dm-in-training oof, sounds stressful. But you've got spirit, I tell you that. I use Krita when I wanna make stuff cause it's free.
Could always learn Opentoonz if u ever want. Its free and opensource, Paul Tillery has a great tutorial series for it on youtube.
