After a nervy start, Turnbull gave Celtic the lead from the penalty spot before Kyogo doubled the lead on 26 minutes. Turnbull made it 3-0 before half-time, while Jordan White pulled one back for County.
Kyogo brilliantly setup O'Riley to make it 4-1 before the Highlanders grabbed a late consolation through James Brown in the 95th minute.

It's crazy how he reads the game so well. Even with the first goal we concede if you watch him, he runs to where the he thinks the ball will end up. If he was taller,.he stops goal. He wasn't just standing on the line the whole time.

Tbf to Ross County they had a real go at us. Kyogo was a revelation .. Rodgers got him playing like Vardy did at Leicester. High hopes that Brendan can improve O'Riley and Abada to new levels. A new goalkeeper is now at the urgent stage and a tall left-back to give greater height in defence. Rocki a big upgrade on Starfelt on today's evidence. All in all I didn't think we were as mediocre as some claim.. We could easily have ended up scoring six or seven.

Yeah we could have scored 6 or 7 but that dosent tell the story of the game . Ross county were a kick away from the championship and we were at home .our slow lack of intensity was awful for long periods . We were below mediocre. Reality is there is a real lack of consistent quality in the starting 11 . Two wingers blow hot and cold far too often and when they are bad they are non existent. Turbull and o Reilly will not cope as a pairing against better teams no where near the athleticism required . I have no doubt if we persist with the personnel we will drop a lot of points this season and get embarrassed in Europe . For 60 minutes it looked like the first game of pre season no proper shape or identity . We should be further on in Our business by now the clock is ticking .

We weren't our best yesterday but that's the mark of champions winning when you're not playing at your scintillating best. I love listening to Kenny, he talks a lot of sense as do you Paul and I agree with everything that was said on here.
Kenny spot on as usual. If Starfelt and Hatate go we are appreciably weaker than last year. Mostly projects signed so far and we need at least three experienced players to be starters for that side. The money sloshing about the club is unbelievable and to not back Rodgers again when we are in such an advantageous position is utterly perplexing. What the hell are we saving for, Christmas? Think this Board forgets that to genuinely improve the side to make an impact in Europe we need significant investment. It’s not good enough any more to be a baws hair better than the Huns and that’s the thinking that has held us back for too long

I think that's being a bit harsh on starfelt. The stats don't lie when they play together. Ye still need one with the other. My only issue is Starfelt always has one fuck up in him per game.

Over the last few years more or less the entire squad have made remarks in interviews to the tune of what O'Reilly said yesterday about Turnbull. They know much more about how he plays football than we do. Is he capable of hurting teams in the UCL? Yes.

--> I'd like to see Kyogo and Oh play together. I think that Oh could provide good hold-up for Kyogo to make the cutting flashing runs off of. As we saw against Bilbao, Oh has some deft passing that could connect with Kyogo's runs.
--> There's news of Rocco Vata being courted away. That's too bad. He's got tremendous upside; and I think he'd be a regular in the First Team by midseason. He's got the best ability to cross into the box from the wings, something that could really help take advantage of Oh's size.

Great Listen guys! Agree we are in good hands with Rodgers. Agree we need a couple of next level signings but maybe its only at this stage of the window that they could be available? Also, important that Rodgers had his assessment period. Actually sad to see Starfelt go because as Kenny said when backs are against the wall he stood up, so clearly if he goes, we need to strengthen our pool of centre backs. Hatate situation a little concerning. HH
Starfelt wont be missed & if hes leaving to be closer to his burd just shows his commitment to his football career, following her about Europe 😂. CCV made him look decent. He played about 10 games without CCV and only won about 3 games. Nawrocki looks class. That Croatian GK, Johnston, CCV, Rocky & a new RB & we will be sorted at the back. Taylor has been brilliant for us but Europe he'll get found out but domestically will be solid. County never sat back throughout the game so fair play to them for that, fans moan about 11 men in the box but then moan they see a 6 goal game when we aint match sharp yet. We could have had about 7 today so im happy & even happier about earlier on.

Bit harsh on Maeda…thought he was our brightest player first 15 and he laid a beauty on for Forrest (which he missed)….I would prefer Maeda thru middle than Oh …as back up to Kyogo…

All the Hatate lovers have remember how well Turnbull played for us prior to Ange turning up. Then he got injured in the league cup final, and struggled to get his place back.

Hatate gives the ball away and it's quickly forgotten. Turnbull gives the ball away and 'hes pish'.
Both are class and both will be very important in our title defence this season. Injuries will happen and we will need the likes of Holm,iwata and Kwon to also step up.
Pittodrie next week I would actually start hatate over Turnbull. I can imagine Turnbull being more effective coming on in the second half after MO'R or reo has gave a solid 60min. We need a bit more box to box energy in the CM department next week.

agree but it might be an option in certain games/circumstances to play oh up front beside him ,a good fusion of stength and craft , with oh up top and kyogo dropping off and just raoming allong the front line looking for gaps between the lines.

Lots of positives from today - O’Riley was excellent and scored a magnificent goal. If he add goals consistently to his game then it will be such a boost for us. Rocki looks good going forward and comfortable on the ball which gives us an added dimension. Turnbull has seized his chance with his brace.
There will be new signings coming in by the end of the window and we’ll improve. Result at Killie takes a little bit of the pressure on us for the trip to Pittodrie next weekend. 🏴🇮🇪
The game was a comfortable win . If the own goal didn't go in it was a different feel to the game. Should have been 7 or 8 if the keeper wasn't on his game.

True very strange game . 3-0 up at half time against the run of play . If honest it was boring for the most part slow with a fair bit of uncertainty. I was looking at the performance and although it’s very early I think we are lacking 3 quality players at least . If we were playing anyone half way decent I think we would have been well beaten today so I’m a little concerned but think it will come good . but the clock is ticking so we have to start doing business double quick .

The most obvious difference from last season is Ange.
We've taken the foot off the gas and we let a poor opposition have an impact on the game.
Kyogo used in a completely different role and showed his all round talent.
Otherwise, I'm not overly excited.
its the high press intensity and quick attacking game of postecoglu v the possesion based build up less easier on the eye football of rodgers ,you take your pick , simply put if rodgers style returns the title and bests rangers in every domestic tournament then hes succeeded , we roll the dice.
If Hatate wants to go, then thank you & goodbye. As good as he is, he’s made no secret that he wants out of Celtic at the first decent opportunity. Starfelt is a good footballer, but he’s definitely replaceable. Let’s spend some money now & get in a couple of quality players.

Disagree Paul, O'Riley was decent nothing more. A like the big man but of you watch his goal which he ended up taking really well, he had a look across goal twice to see if he could square it when the shot was always the option. He does this quite alot imo and needs to start developing a hunger to actually score goals. Hes more than capable but he has this always wants to look for the perfect ball mentality. Be ruthless 🍀

None of these players will ever be first choice at celtic. Welsh needs to leave to save his career, kobyashi and scales need to go on loan, lawal isnt good enough and Iwata might get some game time in midfield.

Far too much passing around the back, i dont like that, but up front i think it will be superb. Just watch Kyogo this season, he will be amazing under Rodgers. Imo Hart has to be replaced under Rodgers.
Starfelt took alot of slack from some Celtic fans. I believe he picked up on this and is probably one of the reasons he is moving on. He should of got more respect from the fans. Some fans are terrible for moaning and complaining about players.
Put hart as a goalkeeper coach and get someone new in.
I don't think we can rate this as a good win. Ross County should have been relagated last season and caused a few problems. Mind you, I take their keeper over Hart. If we don't get a new keeper we'll have problems, especially in Europe.

Celtic need to move on a few players before we bring in more players. To many players leads to unrest in a squad. I would personally prefer to buy two starters rather more numbers.
There was a lot of great link up play going fwd but i cant really see the new signings bar rocky getting into this side at this point and tbh i dont see any of them coming on as any kind of threat off the bench

I dont know how many times this back line continually doesn't get strengthened properly. GK needs replacing . Ralston as back up RB just isn't of Celtic standard. Rodgers needs to seriously wake up before this window closes cause this current squad still isnt got great depth

Hart today was terrible. He looked really nervous unable to do even simple things right. He was fortunate not to concede a penalty which I believe would have also meant a red card. What he was doing at their first goal flapping nowhere near the ball and often passing the ball out of play or to the opposition.
He gave away an identical penalty against Wolves in Ireland just last week ! Yes it should have been given, but then at the other end, Maeda was held down by their goalie, so it was cancelled out.

Dont know which sight you have been on but every Celtic sight I have gone on shows fans to be luke warm as to our performance today.
We are not the type of peeple who claim titles prior to Christmas, or claim superiority after winning a dead rubber days after the title was clinched.

Hi guys love the show. So honest and constructive. Now. We need a goalie. Please don't get too carried away about Europe. Europe is a money pit. Winning the trebles is our top priority. We are in the right hands. Pep got rid of Heart because he saw what we're seeing. He said so. No feet. Will not come for crosses. Everything else if just fine.
Why do we need to change? Bring in better players to make us even better is the way. I thought we were boring to watch after Angeball. Slower, and our passing for the most part was poor. We got out of jail by not conceding an early goal after some terrible decisions. Up until the penalty we were utterly shit. I didn’t enjoy the game at all, goals apart. Some great moves, but not waves of them. Abada and Maeda for me didn’t provide enough and when Yang came in and immediately went at them, got stuck in and his passing was better.
I hope we don’t change our style too much because for me that was nowhere near good enough, wasn’t good to watch and we conceded two goals that shows our defence was isn’t good enough for the league never mind Europe. For me we need upgrades on Ralston, Berny, Taylor Hart and Starfelt or Europe will be another case of from to mid playing well and creating, hopefully putting some of them away. But Hart Taylor and Ralston in their our defence will leak goals. A lot of goals. Got the win, good goals but overall I was disappointed in our quality of play. Too many back passes, to few taking a chance by taking a man on. Odin and Yang look good. Get the players we need and get them soon.
Turnbull will keep the jersey, but if he isn’t cutting it, Hatate will come on. Wether Turnbull retains the jersey if he performs. End of. Yang should start, for me he is better than Abada as a winger and Maeda.
Our transfer buisness has been really underwhelming tbh! With jota mooy and starfelt away then we are undoubtedly weaker than last season! Add on to that the need to replace hart then my hopes for Europe are low
