- “If there was one message for future generations, it would be never forget and remember them.”
George Luz Jr., the son of Easy Company member Technician 4th grade George Luz Sr., speaks on the importance of remembering the legacy of our D-Day heroes.
On June 6, join us as we honor the Allied men and women who fought to preserve freedom. #dday80 #bandofbrothers #ww2
I’m humbled by the stories of these soldiers. So brave you can’t understand it.
Great video! Beautiful. Heartwarming. Will show this to my mom when I see her on Father’s Day. She will love it! ❤️ God bless you George for all you do to honor your dad and these men. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Respect! A huge thank you to all those who fought for our freedom. Never forget!
May these forever-young heroes rest in peace, and in glory, for all of eternity. Do not forget them. Remember them, their stories, and they will live on in all future generations of free society worldwide.
Très émouvant...a great respect to your father and his comrades...

Watching this on 5 June 2024. Still makes my skin crawl when i hear these stories of men like Mr. Luz. I came from a family that my dad and his 3 brothers served in ww2. 1 of those brothers was sevierly wounded in Germany and another that was kia in vosenak Germany. Im sure i am not the only one that feels cheated that i never got to meet my uncle that was KIA. Let alone those children that lost a parent to the war. A hole that will not be filled this side of heaven. May all those brave young nen and women that served and provided me with a wonderful life. Most are gone now. Rest in the arms of a heavenly Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Thank you, George Luz Jr.
Thank you🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Honored to watch this.
A real hero, it's too bad those people don't live forever! Rip George Luz, we'll never forget the sacrifice 🙏
Outstanding!
Thank you.
Never forget. Remember to share the stories of their sacrifices for our freedoms.
I'm so greatful to all VETERANS of all wars, especially WW2. I can only pray that today's generations that are not agreeing with the current war's, get a chance to go to these places where terrible things happened because of the hate that existed. Maybe just maybe, might open their eyes and see what true sacrifices truly were during that time period. Thank you for your sacrifices.
George that was a very touching presentation and narration.
My fathers was was in the Pacific( We are Australian ) so of course Mr Spielberg's PACIFIC is hugely special to us.
Like you I feel my responsibility is to keep saying their names and what they did and sacrificed.
I am ever grateful for Band Of Brothers, Pacific , Masters Of athe Air and the lesser known Greyhound( by Mr Hanks) for keeping WW2 real in our memory .
God Bless Easy Company and the Airborne. 🙏🏻
We, in the United States of America OWE EVERYTHING to these brave Americans who answered the call of duty, many sacrificed EVERYTHING for our freedoms! We can NEVER forget and must always honor them. I would love to go to Normandy and pay my respects to them all, they are our HEROES! We would be nothing without their sacrifice!
They really were the greatest generation.
Incredibly poignant and insightful video, thanks very much for posting!
That was beautifully done
God bless them
Great story.👍
My father was also full blown, B- 17, 34 missions, 2 of which weren't officially registered as they held off returning to States after 32 missions, heard something BIG was up, 2 days later put the crew together for 2 Missions...D Day, returned to the States, ended up in the Manhattan Project, ate breakfast with Tibbits and his crew, flew Oppenheimer 3 different times
The best friend i ever had was my grandfather who was fighting in the pacific. I had an uncle in the 2nd wave on Omaha in the 29th division and another uncle in the 36th division who was part of the battalion that was trapped on a hill around Marseilles. My other grandfather was USN S2C.
Remember them ! The French certainly do ! - My son and I saw this with our own eyes on June 6th. 2013. We were profoundly proud as Americans but had tearful eyes for days. You have to visit these Normandy beaches and the hedgerows and cemeteries behind them to understand. Read the grave markers and be greatfull.
Lest we forget.
Heroes saved the World from Evil 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I'd like to know from George Jr. if his Dad retained the impish sense of humor that is depicted in "Band of Brothers".
At 4:11 You stand in front of the grave of Lt Walter Gunther Jr. and I wonder if that was the platoon leader of one of the platoons of Easy Company that your dad was a member of?
