- Haikyuu is officially my first sports anime now (although I wanted it to be Slam Dunk). But here we go. The anime has showed great writing so far and I watched the latest movie "The Dumpster Battle" in theaters. This battle between Nekoma High and Karasuno High was long foreshadowed and was worth all the wait.

idk why but I've noticed the audio for anime movies has been bad for the last 3 times (this one I watched in 4dx and the other two in 2d)
hopefully IMAX will have better audio.

If you love haikyuu's characters and it's writing I'll highly suggest reading manga from 293(and just finish it manga ends at chap 402)
There are so many things in the nekoma vs karasuno match which the movie didn't even adapted 30% of it.
With this movie length only hinata and kenma were able to shine and that also very little.

@@user-qr8pq4hk5rIs it that hard to understand for you guys that for shows like Haikyu the spoiler thing doesn't ruin as much as for other anime cause it's about the experience and "how" of it happens instead of what happens, the anticipation of getting to know that how one team beats other is what matters.
I watched the movie yesterday and my INOX theatre was PACKED - in a tier 2 city of MP. Some people even came in Haikyuu and Naruto(lmao) cosplays. Rs. 99 thing might have helped in this too. But as a big fan of Haikyuu, I really could not believe I got to see a Haikyuu movie in my hometown. From reading its manga weekly since 2018 when I first saw The Dumpster Battle, to seeing it on the big screen, I really got lucky. The movie was great too, except for some flaws that only avid manga readers and fans would notice. Its a MUST WATCH but don't go in blindly.
I thought it was only available in PVR theatre 😅 anyways it's was so nice to watch movie for just 99 ruppe
Yeah I had the same experience during demon slayer's last movie in my Tier 3 City in Maharashtra. the theatre was jam packed on the first day first show. The ticket price being 100rs on day one was also a reason surely but I was happy to see people showing up. But this time I was very sad as PVR didn't even release the movie in our city. Me and my friends were very excited to watch haikyuu on big screen 😭🥲.
I'm disappointed in you, watching Haikyuu movie without even finishing S4 just so you can make this video 🙂

I Liked the fact that they made this as Kenma being the main character and Hinata his greatest rival. And that was the main focus of this match or movie. Must watch in Cinema

What a movie it was. My all time favourite sports anime for sure. Best thing is theatre was almost full. My only complain was they adaptation was bad, that cut too many scenes (saying this as a manga reader)
This was my 1st anime movie in theatre, and I didn't expect it to be houseful in KANPUR. Crowd was also cheering and clapping. But when match ended the entire hall ...

Even though I watch the movie or not, it doesn't matters, as the nearest cinema is 160KM far where Haikyu, Demon Slayer, etc came and Suzume kabhi mere state aya hi nahi, toh mera maja gaya. Either I pirate the movie or binge the movie on Crunchyrooll if came (I only binge those which are not in India, I have subscription don't worry.)
I am sad for you brother. I wish a cinema will open just 1 km away from your home and it will show all anime movies.
A genuine request tarun bhai please read the Manga from where this movie was addepted. You will be surprised how there was so much more to their battle then the movie shown.

Loved the Video and Love the Movie so so much! 😭 My new favourite anime movie, love these boys to death! My fav part of Haikyu has always been that it has so much heart in every freaking thing! Don't even have words to describe how I feel about it in detail, watching it again today, and will watch again tomorrow. Can't get enough of it! EVERYONE WATCH HAIKYU! bruh guys like you make movies overrated.....animation and sound effects were top notch along with some lame ass jokes and cheesy lines that only normies were laughing on(that was annoying)... all the volleyball scenes were already shown in trailer so nothing new in movie except flashbacks and lots of bonding momemts btw hinata and kenma(it was uncomfortable).....it doesn't felt like if i was watching the middle or the ending of a haikyu movie unlike in series where they create a full vibe when match is about to end...it's a 7/10 movie
Literally bro I have the same feelings for haikyu.. it's so real and it's made with so much emotions, it has a special place in my heart... And definitely it's my top 1

This movie had the potential to be the best anime movie ever. But they disappointed 😞. Still I like the move more than JJK 0 and Suzume but still...😢, Haikyuu is my favourite anime they don't have any right to do this to it. They better release a new season with extra scenes and proper build up.

Man I'm kinda bummed that he went to see the movie before watching season 4. To me season 4 is when the writing surpasses what has come before and actually becomes masterpiece level.He would've enjoyed it more with added context of character growths on both sides.

Personally I didn't like this movie the rallies and everything was good the soundtrack animation were great but as a guy who has read the manga they cut off so many things. Yaku and Nishinoya had so many digs in this arc but they cut off so many of them it made it a bit disappointing for me. This was a libero's battle and they messed it up a bit even though there were many good rallies in this movie it could have been better if they increased the movie time from 1 hr 30 mins to 2 hr 30 mins it would have been perfect.

Watched it in a theatre filled with people who adore the series and characters, it was clearly audible. Yet I personally found the movie to be average. Maybe because S3 set up the bar so high that no other match has been able to cross it. Nonetheless, enjoyed watching it on the big screen and smiling on such wholesome banter.

Really disappointed for not watching s4
He'll watch. I was talking about this to someone yesterday too and I'll say here also, except the fact that the match takes place after the Inarizaki match there's no other correlation of the movie from S4. Anyone who have seen till S3 can enjoy it as much as someone who's caught up, just think about it, Whole movie of Karasuno vs Nekoma was so good because the rivalry was building up since S1,2; everything was paying off cause of those seasons, not S4. There's no point of it being related to S4 except maybe S4 E17, which showed some bits of Nekoma's previous match.

@@AnimeTmTalks yes but still. Coz part of the charm comes from matches itself. One doesn't watch a match just to see how the main story progresses but also for the story of characters as well.
That's what I love about haikyuu. It never made me angry towards the team that beat karasuno.
Nonetheless really happy u watched haikyuu🙇♂️
