sir i have querry, as we know according to concept resistivity high in coal portion and low in non coal portion but due to some error its showing opposite means low in coal portion and high in non coal portion ,kindly resolve it please.

    How estimate formation water salinity

Rw can be estimated using one or all of the following: 1) archie equation in the water zone 2) SP log 3) resistivity ratio method. Once Rw is available, salinity can be estimated using the chart that has resistivity of water for different reservoir temperature and salinity.

The resistivity of awater-bearing sand was found to be 0.8Ohm-m.If the porosity of the formation is 0.31
and for this formation the relationship between the formation factor ,F, and porosity has been established as :F
      =0.81/Φ2.
What is the salinity of the formation water?
