It has been forever! Hopefully your back for good this time.
You should set up a tank for a Green Terror or maybe some Gourami, that would be super cool.

Hey Mason! Yeah, hoping to be back for good! I'm happy to be back in the fishfam! I'm having a lot of fun going through the stocking options for the 37 gallon!

Very cool mancave. I'm working on mine in my basement, got some tanks set up and bought a sectional. Now just need to add my TV to the wall :D

Yes, a TV is a great addition. Ive already spent a bunch of hours watching TV (a lot of college football) while tinkering with fish tank stuff!

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to many more of them. A planted tank guy putting together a tank without plants. I predict cichlids are on the way. Cheers.

    Dear Jake:
It’s so good to see that you are back! I’m very impressed by your progress with the garage. I’m surprised that you discontinued keeping live plants in the 37-gallon tank. I take it that you still have the jar aquarium and the small tank with monte carlo (Micranthemum)?
There are any number of fish you could keep in the 37-gallon tank. For some time I’ve been interested in the peacock gudgeon or peacock goby (Tateurndina ocellicauda). It is a beautiful, fascinating fish. However, breeding them appears to be a very difficult endeavor that involves mops and infusoria as a first food.
I’m keen to see what you do with the 125-gallon, high-tech, planted aquarium. After reading “Ecology of the Planted Aquarium,” I’m going the other direction with low-tech, live planted, tanks. I’m doing an experiment with regular potting soil in a 10-gallon tank. Updates will show how that turns out.
Thank you for this very enjoyable and interesting, update, video.
    All my best,
    Sincerely,
    E. J. Brinegar

Great to hear from you, Brinegar! I'll have to take the peacock goby into consideration. I'll have to read up on them!! I'm very excited for the plans I have for this space. I'm also happy go be rejoining our great fish fam community!
