This is a compilation of all my tutorials done so far on Music Theory. I assumed a complete course all-in-one video could be handy if you'd like to download it all in one go or if you'd like to save it as only one link. I hope this also makes it easier to binge watch if you'd like to refresh all your knowledge on music in one go.

Bro out here giving his music degree for free, massive respects
these videos are so great. after 7 years of "playing by ear" everything makes sense. i'm about to cry
😂
😅
same😢
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Literally me too!! 😂
It's hard to believe someone has made such an incredible milestone entirely FOR FREE. I'm from Venezuela and things are quite fucked up and cannot study music at college. Thank you for everything, new sub and like. 🙏🏼
I'm glad this helps :) hope you have a good time studying music theory here ;)
Free for us but he is not doing it for free because youtube is paying him.
This is an awesome video.
I would also search for "Rick Beato music theory" and check out his many music theory and film scoring videos.
Howard Goodall also has nice documentaries like 'Howard's Goodall's Big Bangs of Music' that you may like.
Also look up Leonard Bernsteins series 'The Unanswered Question' (here on You Tube) that he did at Harvard
@Woochia's Beats & Bobs you are a wonderful person
@@warriorspirit210I mean, CZcams is not directly paying him to make this video, but he does make money from the ads on his videos provided CZcams allows him to monetize them (given the amount of songs in here it’s entirely possible it’s just not monetized at all)
Damn this is comprehensive…
When I saw “complete” music theory I was thinking it would start with the major scale. This beast starts with the actual relationships between frequencies. Such a treasure of a video
I can’t believe this is a free video. With SOOOO many people trying to capitalize on peoples passion for music, it’s refreshing to see someone just GIVE knowledge away like this. Thank you so much for this!
Years ago, the mentality around me was "keep your secrets, you need to keep your secret sauce to be successful in music". Then I realised I learnt everything from people sharing their knowledge on internet, so I started doing the same. I guess that came from a different place than anyone trying to capitalise on anything ^^
@@Woochia Give first, receive later. You realised you have a higher purpose.
@@Woochia yeah it's kinda fucked up when someone tries to keep something in secret as if they learned whole music by themselves without others help
you can go to a library and check out a book, but ok.
Lmao, this is not free and he is capitalizing on this information. He's getting paid to minimize a very large and intricate subject into an oversimplified CZcams video so that people will watch looking for answers and information but only receive a superficial variation of it. Now, me explaining that to you was free! You're welcome.
this is so confusing. i’ll watch this everyday to get it right
@@rbboca please learn how and when to use a comma for the love of god
@@noises4978 dude chill they’re probably native english speaker it’s not their fault

As an adult learning to play piano, this is what was missing.
Great and free content deserves a reward.
Thank you so much :o
best music theory course in CZcams! Least I could do :) P.S. please don't ever take this down !
Thanks! I don't plan to take it down ever. I even have a written version of my website and I'm building a pdf version of the transcript for my patreons. So there should always be a way to access it all :)
I'm 20 years old, and I've always wanted to learn music but never dared to do so. I am now fulfilling my inner child's desires, and this video has helped so much !!! It is never too late to make your dreams come true. Thank you very much, I really appreciate this. You are a great person for providing this information for free.
thankyou for your review
now i know that i dont need to search anymore and watch this onw
Thank you very much. This kind of comment means a lot, really. Hope you have a great time exploring music theory:)
20 years old and you feel late? I am 42 mate.
This music theory collection of videos complied into 1 video is by far the top video on CZcams and I have watched hundreds as being self taught keep going bro!! You’re a legend already 💪🏾💪🏾🙏🏾
As someone learning music theory and started playing in his mid 40s, with an engineer background, this video is pure gold. A big thank you, I always come back to it.
Currently studying music theory for the first time at 18, this video has been such a great reasource to come back to every time i need to make sense of something, and it also really jumpstarted the process, thanks a million!
omg me toooo

Been here for more than 10 years, that's some S+ tier content! Thank you for taking the time to pass your knowledge in such an incredible way.
Thanks so much :o
This is the only video that has actually helped me to understand music. Thanks maestro
Thanks, that's great!
Another monumental achievement. I love that you put all these tutorials in one video. Thanks a bunch. Incredibly informative.
By far the best music theory course on youtube.
Thanks! :)
Bro. 4 mins in and my brain is pressing against my skull. Been in music since i was 4 but never knew this in depth
These channel with full courses posted are a godsend for us broke people
Just came across this video while brushing up on some theory ideas - What a pleasure to realise it's the wonderful Woochia, whose brilliant music I've blogged about in the past. Hope you're doing well, seems like things are going awesomely - much deserved, congrats!
It's a pleasure to see you here! Things are good, I've just started working on an album, which means I still have time to do the things I love 👌 Also hope you're doing well! All the best.
I'm not even a third of the video in, but I can safely say, this is the most comprehensive music theory video I've seen yet. Massive respect.
Appreciated, thanks a lot :) glad you like it
This video is a treasure.
I'm 15, in musical theatre, trying to learn a little more about music so I know what the people around me are talking about. When I was younger, my grandma tried to teach me about music and how to play the piano, but I always refused. She always told me that I'd regret it and I knew, even then, that she was right, I just didn't want to work for it. Thank you for this video!
I hope you get to understand everything the people around talk about :)
I wish i was that young when i changed my mind hahah. Good luck on your journey with music!
Dude you could still learn how to play an instrument and learn it well. At 15, your brain is still flexible! I would highly encourage you, even if it's just for a year, to take some classes on some instrument that interests you, often music schools have instruments for rent etc, and it's a huge bonus for discipline (in practicing), and also helping your brain to learn how to learn better! (Obviously I don't expect you to do what I've done, which is almost 11 years of violin with over 3500 hours invested XD)
bro, just gotta say, thanks for the time n effort you put into these videos. the quality is great and the way you explain the info is smooth too.
Thank you so much! Videos as long as these that are FREE is a really kind gift to all of us struggling to progress through our musical journey. I want to let you know we are very grateful 🙏
I reference this video ALL THE TIME. At least 45 views of this video are mine… And probably another 60 from people I’ve directed to it. This video is by far the most masterful and comprehensive way of showing you how and why music and sound does what it does. What I especially love is he breaks everything down in such a way that even a complete beginner can understand, while also making the knowledge feel valuable to experts without it feeling dumbed down. That is very difficult to do in anything you try to explain, but music is such a uniquely complex subject, I honestly can’t imagine anyone doing a better job than this… AND FOR FREE?? People pay big big money for what he’s teaching in this video… For the sweet sake of f-k… Please, AT LEAST, thank this man for this video.
Bravo, my man. Bravo.
>M
Thank you very much!
bro i dont wanna refer to myself as a beginner or an expert but .... i dont understand it ! how many times iv seen it i dont... maybe accept and give up .... thougth to pay money too but if this is for free and still dont get it ... man its a deadend .... why ! i wanna too say something positive about it too but i can not seem to find it
5th time through and it's all beginning to come together, a few more times on the 9th chords and modulation and I should fully understand it. I appreciate this so much as I learned at my own pace and was able to put everything into practice as I learned. You are an amazing human being for this. I thank you deeply for helping me through this.
Thanks so much for your comment :) I'm happy you can learn while enjoying it
The cadences section of this video has really helped me with chord progressions! Thank you!
Cool! You're welcome :)
Sir, you my friend, are amazing. You took sooo much time on this. You did an amazing job and you didn’t even charge for it.
The video itself was like a journey from… ‘this is called a key on a piano, a piano is an instrument that creates music through sound waves, sound waves are the vibration of the air that vibrates the ear drum and is received as music when it is vibrated at certain frequencies. Frequencies….. hahaha amazing, incredible and in all ways phenomenal 🏅✨
Thank you
Haha thanks! Glad you liked it :)
Watching your video is like a summary of all music theory lessons I ever got (or will get). Great!
This is exactly what I wanted
A long video explaining all the details in music theory
Simple and beautiful explanation
Thank you
Just pure gold, no kid's games. I really do not know how can you share such knowledge for free, cause I have taken music theory course and had learnt maybe third of this. I will support your channel on my next salary :D . Thank you very much.
Thank you :) when I started out, I wanted both my courses to be free as I thought this was missing on CZcams. But maybe I'm also a very bad businessman :p
@@Woochia Or you are just a great personn who thinks about comuniity to grow rather than ego satisfaction , thank u very much once again🥰🥰🥰
Woochia, you're a legend. I can't wait to work through this video! Thank you so much.
Most amazing job ever done on youtube and I am not even reached half of this lecture while putting this comment, God bless you bro with all the success you deserve
Thank you sooo much!! I play by ear and it’s been very challenging not really knowing the “rules” and knowing them is a total game changer for my productions! The biggest issue was organizing the information but you did that so well with this video!!! THANK YOU!!!
That was incredible. I have been learning bass for a while, and looking at this video, I finally understood everything. Many Thanks man. Really
This is hands down the best music theory video on CZcams! I wish I could digest all this information in 1 go, but it seems I'll have to come back to it regularly.
Thank you so much for this series!
Thanks! This was meant to be 28 videos put into one. I would be surprised if anyone could digest it all in one sitting 😅
Your videos are always so dense with information that I pause to take notes every three seconds! Love it, thank you. These are some of the most helpful instructional videos I've ever seen!
Thanks a lot. I made it that way also so you can come back to it later and quickly find the info you're looking for :)
I suggest thanking him on Patreon. You'll get the full transcription of the video, it's worth every penny!
I came here from the sound design course, adding this to my watch list. so much golden content thank you so much 🙏
You're welcome :) if you're interested, there's a pdf document I created that sum up everything told in this music theory series. You can download it for free from my website woochia.com ;)
you are amazing at explaining things, this video was very well explained and I'll come back to watch it some more times
This is the best video about this topic I’ve ever seen! Thanks a lot for your great work!
Thanks a lot :)
come on. You're a legend. Thank you for existing and sharing all of this for free. Again, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hahaha, thanks, you're very welcome :)
Wow! The skill, the detail, the order, the sense!
This is a keeper - thank you. I really appreciate what you have put out there for us to learn. Always wanted to learn music theory and now I have a place to start. Thank you. 🙏 blessings headed your way
Soooo much value in this video. Absolutely loved it! Thank you so much for this.
This has been the single best way to learn music theory for me and I can't believe such an incredible resource like this is free. Thanks so much!
I'm happy this was useful, thanks :)
This is by far the best music theory course I could find on the internet, and it's free ! Thank you so much
Thanks! :)
This is the best music theory video I’ve ever seen, it makes perfect sense to me. Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome ! :)
Incredible sequence of information. I'm finally understanding it all. I thank you for sharing this knowledge.
Happy if that unlocked something :) thanks
Thank you bro...❤ You are doing a great work..all the best.
Thanks a lot :)
I've done instructional videos before and I know how much work is behind things like this. 3 hours of content but likely over a hundred hours of work. Thank you so much for this!
awesome! a lot of the music theory videos on youtube are a bit too basic for somewhere who has moderate music theory knowledge, but this is perfect and amazing for someone who knows just a bit more than the average beginner :) thanks so much!
This is like a service to humanity. I can't thank you enough. This is brilliant.
This is by far one of the best youtube content ever created
Haha, thanks! Appreciated! :)
Thank you for making this course, not easy stuff to comprehend but necessary if one is serious about understanding how music is constructed.
Thanks ! I know the pace is kind of fast, so if you want to read it instead, don't hesitate to check my website woochia.com. it's free on there as well
Thank you very much for THIS AWESOME COMPILATION !
Ohh yessssss I'm so glad I decided to check my subscriptions! Can't wait to dive in!
This is absolutely fantastic; I’ve been studying theory from different sources, but I’ve always felt like said sources were just dumping a bunch of notions on me - THIS is different, it’s explaining the “why”s in a quite satisfying way and I love it.
I had already liked the video, but when I heard the 4th pun I instinctively reached for the thumbs up again 🤣🤣🤣
Holy screaming catfarts batman, this video alone is one wealth of information. You have created a wonderful resource here dude.
Wonderful video and amazingly clear explanations, will check the sound design next.
Hope Zoro and Sanji don't give too many problems over there :D
Wow, absolutely incredible
Outstanding pedagogical skills!
The best explanation I've found! Thank you so much! You have deserved a Patreon subscriber as nobody else!!👏By the way, the transcription available there is worth the price of a good book. Thanks for that hard work too!
Thank you very much :)
Thank you for providing your knowledge for free! You have done an absolutely amazing job!!!
Thanks a lot :)
Thank you sooo much for this!! Fully comprehensive. So grateful
You're very welcome :)
What a monument of a video, I'll study it carefully and finally be able to understand music theory fully one day.
Beautifully comprehensive!
Wow, this video has opened my mind. I have studied harmonics for 1 year as a part of my college syllabus(EEE). But never have I thought this is how harmonic study creates music.
I have to improvise my prior knowledge with this new one and see how synchronizing helps to appreciate the beauty of music and Power electronics.
Thx for the video, seriously. i need it to understand a few things and this video was really helpful i can't believe you've done this for free 🛐🛐
Happy it helped :)
Thank you so much. You are the best. I've been having so much confusions about diminished and augmented.
I'm happy it helped :)
Loved the video! Very Valuable lesson, Thank You!!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Very enlightening and well presented. And the harmonic series at 4:10 would make a great t-shirt.
Thanks! I'll keep the idea if I make t-shirts one day ;)
One of the great music theory master class, big up continue the good job ❤
Thank you, much appreciated! :)
thank you so much for such a accesible music course. i really enjoy studying on this video. thank you so much
Thanks a lot, that makes me happy :)
Absolutely a well defined demonstration of Basic Music Theory including Rhythm and varieties of Beats plus advanced chords and usage.. 👌👏A fairly good lecture and the layouts for chordal scales including in modes are well made.. Quite an interesting go all through despite a bit of a straining.. 👌Thanks so much dude.. 🙏Warm cheers 😘
Thanks :)
this is basic music theory ? then wat is the next step? wat is expert? then wat?
wow!! what a legend !! thank you for this !! you have helped so many people
Thanks a lot :)

Thanks! I am self-learning piano and I cannot thank you enough. I hope the best for you and your channels. I will make sure to revisit them.
Thanks a lot! Hope this will be useful and that you'll enjoy playing piano!
This has to the most amazing in depth music theory video I have seen on the Internet... He taught so much useful knowledge I couldn't believe. #Woochia your content is top tier and we all appreciate your teaching.
Thanks a lot! Happy you appreciate it!
This cleared so much question marks for me. Thank you.
Very useful! Thanks!
May God always bless people like you
Incroyable merci pour tout ça !
This is absolutely amazing
wow , great data, nice organization and production... love it ! thanks !
Thanks!
Did some cadence practice and had so much fun! After I was finished did I come to the realization that I was trying to make every scale degree a major chord and I was wondering why they would not fit in the scale. I learned multiple lessons in that exercise and I look forward to any other exercises coming my way!
Thanks for the time and effort you put in this video!
You're welcome :)
I got really confused at first when dividing 440 by 3 gave 14666 until I realized the comma was meant to be a decimal
Awesome stuff dude! Thanks so much 🙏
You're welcome!
Amazing explanation of circle of fifths
I’m not even a quarter of the way in but I have to say this is excellent! Thank you for putting this together, it’s helping me piece together all the music theory I already knew into a much fuller picture. ❤
Thanks! Happy you like it :)
So great man, it's working fine!
