      I'm going maximum blade and handle length on mine, though their website has a suggested length based on height chart.

  • @teofiloljubisavljevic7943

    Hey what option saya did you pick? I couldnt find that black mat saya in saya options.

      Not sure if you're still interested but it's called a "kuro ishime" saya.

    Does Tozando sharpen the blade?

    • @talesoftheblades3289
      @talesoftheblades3289  Před 3 lety +7

      As to my understanding no, but Check their website to be shure. The Iaito I bought was never ment to be sharpend, because... it’s an Iaito😊

    • @micahcampa
      @micahcampa Před 3 lety +6

      they are iaito not ment to be used as a weapon training only

      in japan only katana that was make using the tradionall steel and method can be sharp or even made of steel and these cost like 20 k . those sword are practice sword make of aluminium

    Did that come sharp?

    • @talesoftheblades3289
      @talesoftheblades3289  Před 4 měsíci

      No. An Iaito is never sharp, it's alloys are soft. Only steel blades could be sharpend. Tozando also sells shinken which are sharp.

    Like most people who want to show off their katana, you spent half the video taking before the katana is drawn from the saya - why do you all take so long before we get to see the object that is the subject of the video?

    • @talesoftheblades3289
      @talesoftheblades3289  Před 3 lety +12

      This is why I have timestamps in the Video Description 😉....

      @@talesoftheblades3289 yes, I didn't see the time stamps until after I posted my comment - my apologies; most video posters are not as considerate as you

      in my opinion the tsuka and saya is more important than the blade because if they are not good it wont feel right

      Because people who train Iaito have patience and enjoy the gathering of knowledge?

    wtf wired brushed fake hamon?

    • @yoritomo3522
      @yoritomo3522 Před 2 lety +6

      It is an Iaito made of Alu/zinc alloy. Producet in a diecasting process. Of curse ther is no real Hamon. the hamon is sandblasted.

    Outrageous, you will pay a minimum of $600 for this... I could get better from Hanwei at those prices...

      Hanwei is cheap Chinese shit.

    • @adamwayne6476
      @adamwayne6476 Před rokem +4

      No, actually you can’t get a better iaito from Hanwei. The Hanwei are nice enough and swing well but the Tozando custom are VERY high quality.

      @pennkendo9162 Před 4 měsíci

      Lol how you compare Hanwei with real Iaito?????
