WOW! I am new to Bible study and I could get off track easily doing the research, but I feel once you have the system in place it is worth it so you understand what the Bible verse means. Thanks so much. I will be getting a Concordance now. Really am enjoying this Project you have created.

This was strangely satisfying. I guess because I love books and stationery and studying. Opening big books and flipping through pages for knowledge makes me feel comfortable lol. Also, it's satisfying to dig deep into one aspect of a thing or word and be sure you know it backwards and forwards. :D

Thanks for the refresher course and how to use the Strong's concordance. I've had one forever ago but my mom borrowed it and she moved up to New York I'm down in Texas and I haven't used it since college. I've been relying to heavily on study Bibles. So I needed to get a refresher on how to use the thing. Also thank you for the reference to the Blue letter Bible It looks like a pretty great app

  • @growinginthewordofgod8839

When looking in the Hebrew and Greek dictionaries, the Old Testament is written in Hebrew and the New Testament is written in Greek. So that will help you to know which dictionary to use in the Strongs concordance.

Subtilty to me the best definition is to go unseen as opposed to being thee stand out in the crowd which has its drawbacks to be sure. The simple is moved by every wind to his own hurt too, but not thee subtle he is unmoved because he/she knows better.

No offense, but this is not the way that Strong’s Concordance was intended to be used. Watch my short video, where I tell you why, and then show you from the Publisher’s own instructions in the concordance itself. The way that you and millions of others are using it goes against Professor Strong’s design of the concordance. In fact, he was not a Greek or Hebrew scholar and was not qualified to define words for you and I. Respectfully, Angel Arellano Jr.

This book and the KJV is all one needs to emerse onself into the Word of Truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 commands us to Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth no be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Most Christians don't even know this verse exists because most bible study groups focus on the Gospels. Big mistake. The older the dictionary the more accurate. Rightly dividing the word is sooooo important in bible study.

Agreed! There are actually a lot of words mistranslated in the bible and that is just speaking of the KJV. It's even worse as you progress to newer versions. I would also advise GOD'S children to purchase used concordances from 1985 and before. Much has been altered in the newer additions.
